If you put individual 2000lb or 3000lb bombs on the inner most pylons, it doesn't interfere with full wing sweep like the 500lb or 750lb bombs do. You can fully destroy 3 bases and still achieve full wing sweep if you bring 3000lb bombs on the inner 2 pylons, 6x750lb on the next two pylons, and one 750 in the bomb bay next to the gun. You drop 1x3000+3x750 on the first two bases and the remaining 7x750lb bombs on the last base.

how can you select which bombs to drop. For some reason it’s dropping two 750s then each 3000 and then the rest of the 750s

Iirc there is a keybind for "Countermeasures slaving to MAW", which allows you to have the MAW on without it dumping all your flares instantly.

This plane actually needed 2 weight reduction programs for the navy counterpart: Super Weight Improvement Program and the Colossal Weight Improvement Program. It was still too heavy and a massive POS and they ditched it to make the F-14 lmao.

Using the manual wing-sweep is a game changer for speed bleed issues. This plane can keep its wings really far out above Mach and loses a lot less energy when you do so.

Honestly, a fuel slider is needed on every plane.
Take the F-86F-2 for example, you can either take 7 or 20 minutes.
When I take 7, I usually get close to running out of fuel every time, when I take 20, I am a brick. 10 minutes would be great.
fuel slider would ruin props, p51h on low fuel literally destroys everything, and a bunch of other planes are similar, fuel slider ain't it rn at least
9 or 10 with sabres is usually perfect imo, i always RTB with no less than 2 mins fuel

@@martijn9568 doesn't solve low fuel p39s, p38s, ta 152's, f2hs,the p51d30 and more, imo fuel sliders can never be introduced to props, jets sure, but not props whatsoever, balance would be goofy you'd have p51s out running and out turning ki 84s and shit a lot of planes are balanced by gaijin using their fuel

i caught one of these in my Yak-28Bs yesterday, was a pretty fun chase and none of the other planes could catch us or they didnt bother chasing the dumb bombers having a ballerina fight at 6000m
2 overweight bombers with double-barrel fighter engines that made them be able to run from anything duking it out without a 3rd party joining in? I should've been there, must be awesome
it was, i really wish the Yak-28 interceptor variant was in the game so i could properly tussle with fighters aswell but for now im content with wasting their missiles and getting no reward when allies pick off the ones chasing me

(Meanwhile J7-II, MiG-21F-13, all the mig19 variants, all f-100ds and most other 9.3s...)
there is a reason i prefer the Yak-28B to my Mig-21PFM, flares are lovely even if the plane is a boat and can only go straight, with that i had to bring rockets to act as flares that only worked half the time
i fly the 28 exactly for that reason, to waste missiles and ammo. there's so much dodge that you can squeeze out when you have double mig-21 engine and just enough aoa to always be accelerating in a ratefight. and when they're tired of chasing, they can't run because of the sheer engine power this thing has

One thing that's worth noting: the F-111 is equipped with the radar gunsight thing that gen 4 fighters have. It will give you a fire solution for the vulcan if you lock your target with your radar. Only situationally useful but still nice to have.
So it is basically a better Tornado at a lower BR....I knew that the European Playerbase is insignificant bit could Gaigiggles stop screwing us again and again ?
@@T00dl3sEhh, depends on the model, for the ADV, the F111 is not better, but for something like the IDS, id pick the vark any day of the week, the tornados need some love right now.
@bias0437 Well, the ADV isn't really a Bomber, so it doesn't count in my opinion. The ADV has to fear the comparison against other fighters though...

I find it to be good to run either 45m or 1hr of fuel and the drop tanks, as that gives you the option to take 1:15hr or 1:30hr of gas and afterburner full as much as you want. The tanks also look like nukes which is fun

I've noticed that the energy retention in turns isn't quite as bad with the wings swept out at high speeds. You can turn a bit more aggressively if you're above Mach 0.9 or 0.95 and not lose too much. Whenever I'm in a furball, I tend to just leave the wings out to hold more speed as I make wide circles around the fight and it works pretty well for me. Only really put the wings on auto when I either need to leave, or need more high speed AOA and possibly roll for a shot. Plane is pretty fun for the speed freaks among us, but it takes patience and awareness to use. Also, I found a work-around for the fuel situation if you want to play it as a fighter and not a bomber. Equip the external fuel tanks and select 45 minutes or 1 hour of internal fuel. Now you have a bit more to work with. That and the fuel bags limit your AOA, and severely cut back on high speed bleed when you sweep the wings out. Feels like a chunky proto-tomcat when in this configuration.
It would definitely be cool to see that later variants of this aircraft with laser guided munitions.

Instructor makes it compress really hard at high speed. I turned it off and it started being way more responsive and turning a lot better.
Bit of an update, Aardvark now got 3000lb bomb options. And they happen to be least impactful on the airframe while killing two bases using inner pylons only, bonus points for making people cry in GRB as their post code ceases to exist with one such bomb.
Yeah, the M118s are amazing, and you can drop them at Mach 1.1 so you don't even have to slow down, lol. Now we just need the TV guided version of it the GBU-9 lol.

I have one of these in my town on display at the old Air force base. Been waiting to see if it would ever be added to WT. It's a surprisingly small plane.

My suggestion from my experience with the f14, set a keybind for wing sweep control, it can help a lot to improve turn rate at higher speeds
it really feels like they brought real shatter back
The MAW has scored me some free kills as the continous flares have guided the missile right into the afterburner as opposed to if they just flare once manually
Saw some videos about the Zunis beeing extremely strong on airburst at the moment. And u can use some rockets shot in front of you to make the aim 9b lock in headone kind of.
What fonfuses me is that it felt much better in dev server. Axtucally a bit of acceleration behind those massive engines, the gunpods would actually allow wing sweeping. Which somehow they cant anymore..

my biggest issue is the camera possition when you zoom in. the aiming reticle dissapears into the ticket score board on top of screen. if you pull up it dissapears!
It's actually very typical that you miss a lot when you hop into a new plane, but also, the position of the gun plus nose authority /rudder play a big role.
When I was spading F3 Demon, I was incredibly pinpoint-accurate from day 1. When I've unlocked Crusader, I used to miss "unmissable" shots regularly.

I noticed gun damage seems to much less effective than previously. Damage that would have made a jet spin out is now pretty negligible in my experience from both getting crits and being crit over the last few days

If you get it up to mach 1.4 it likes to stay above mach. Also at like 500kph if you put out landing flaps you can out turn everything
Therapeutic to see you struggling the same way I did today...aiming is horrible with this plane. But it's amazing how good this speedthing can turnfight. No enemy expecting this. The speed bleed has one good, reversing someone you are ending guaranteed on his six. lol
I don’t know if they changed something with the F4s’ top speed but I’ve had matches pushing it to
Mach 1.2-1.23 ish. Of course that’s without bringing the gun pod. It will still get to Mach 1.1+ with it but not quite as easy and struggles past that.
Been able to be outnumbered and drop missiles and bombs and outrun people now with pre-flares to keep from having to turn and make it dump speed.
About to have the aardvark soon too.

Finally something to counter the F-104 on every level (except energy ofc). With that speed they could give it the aim-9j/p's and move it up to 11.0 now that 11.0 is somewhat viable thanks to 12.3. Love how they break the vulcan for the billionth time as well...

@@Jwaren Your take is worse because you clearly don't understand how capable it is with aim-9js and how 11.0 is no longer a death sentence with the new 12.3 blackhole.
You have not only the fastest plane in the game (with decent maneuverability on top of that) but you also get 6 missiles which is more than enough.
If the F-104S can do just fine now with the same exact ordinance, then the Vark can do even better with it's preferable flight model and abundant ordinance options.
Just take a look at any 11.0 plane and tell me it's not comparable to the majority of them. You have major skill issue if you don't think you can make it work...

I had a guy in my match say this thing wasn't made for bombing more for interception and naval operations. I don't really see it beeing very effective with the shape, power, turn and bleedrate...

I did actually win a rate fight against an F-5C, believe it or not, and I was slow (~300 knts), wings full out, and combat flaps. I did put him in a flat spin, but you know kill stealer are still a thing.

Big info here. This aircraft has EEGS which shows you where to aim at the enemy if you have them radar locked. Very helpful for hitting your shots before they get a chance to turn

you can take 24 500lbs bombs in the inner pylons. 12 are normaly enough to kill 1 base. so you can kill 2 bases
Why not use the drop tank? It can provide a little bit more fuel and you can drop them anytime you wish
uses up a slot where bombs could go and it already can hold 2 hours of fuel
You can turn it of that the MAW doesn't dump flares but still warns you. either bind a hotkey or use the Multifunction menu
