This happened to my 04 maxima a few months ago I cut a washer and used pliers to clamp it down then super glued it to the metal bar and it is very solid
you could also just remove the butterfly and install a N.W.P. block off plate. you will lose bottom end power and 2 miles per gallon average but it gives you more mid/top end power. And it will be faster to 60 and in the 1/4 mile.
I wasn't building the car to go fast in a straight line and wanted a more usable power band so I fixed the vias, I made a block off plate with the old metal vias assembly and it felt no different🤷♂️
@@limestonemax9949 I put one on a 2005 maxima. The difference wasn't huge but was noticeable for me. But for a daily driver its not worth the decrease in MPG in my opinion.
I have an 08 too. Seems like there are two on mine. The one on my driver’s side is broken((might be called a manifold valve) and the only replacement part I can find is the entire upper intake manifold.
I have a 2003 Nissan maxima I changed the throttle body but it’s still idling a lil funky . It’s so hard to find videos of people working on 2003 Nissan maximas

Your content is so touching
Appreciate it
I’m gonna check the junkyard for this exact part as I to need to replace my vias solenoid but will replace the butterfly valve too

@@bindthedevilloosetheangels yeah the cars still my daily as well so wouldn't have made much sense
👍 thanks for the update keep it up.
If the metal one has some play in it does that mean it should be replaced?
If it still opens and closes you shouldn't feel a difference replacing it
@@limestonemax9949 it doesn’t so I’m just gonna get an NWP block off plate
Where can I buy that part. I have 2008 Nissan Altima with the 3.5
08 altimas don't have the same kind yours is already good

Also I was wondering how could I clean my injectors with out removing them for now I’m low on funds at the moment
Late response but you could try one of those injector cleaners you just pour in the tank. No real good way to do it with injectors in the car though
Is there specific oil you use on that part?
I just used some leftover 5w30 I had any oil should work though
What's the part number for the butterfly?
I'm not sure of the exact part number I did a quick search and couldn't find anything
14510-7Y010 looks right
