Awesome video. You keep it simple, yet thorough without just rambling on. Very helpful and to the point. Also appreciate you supplying the documentation that supports the actual part you are testing. Keep up the great work. Very appreciative of the work you are doing.
Thanks for the kind word Larry. I really do enjoy diagnosing cars. So it’s a pleasure showing my process on TH-cam. Feel free to watch my newer videos to see how the transformation went from my video quality

If there is no vacuum going to the solenoid, there won't be any vacuum to pull the plunger. It would be wise to check for vacuum at the solenoid from the reservoir.
Thanks! I'll get back to you. I've got a 300 HP Maxima that's gurgling and horribly slow. I know that I've got to replace motor mounts and pre-cats but it's looking like the VIAS solenoid is bad too.
Bidirectional is a nice time saver for something like this. You'd have to drive it under various loads with a vacuum gauge Teed into the circuit to see if vacuum is present... or if the test light lights-up.
Good afternoon friend, I have a 2003 murano this happens: when riding on the road it goes very well, only that when arriving at a place, it accelerates and does not respond only until it accelerates a little more. and turning it off and on again it works fine again. it will be the solenoid of the P1800 tracks. thank you. P.S. I hope you have understood my question
Hello I just performed on my Quest 2004 when I installed everything back together with changing the manifold gasket when I start the car it start with hesitation when I remove my foot after guess it wiil dies... I don't know what to do
My 2004 Nissan Quest is different I built mines up from nothing did all the work myself I have 325 HP in mines it's a monster I love all quest good work
@@Tootoojackson lol yea i can imagine the shocked expression on there face because nobody expects that from a Quest its a great sleeper because a lot of people don't know that it has same engine as the 350z!!!
I've got an HR swapped 5.5gen Maxima that nobody wants to play with. Thinking about a frontier or quest project after the LS6 Land Rover is finished.......oh boy!
my 2006 nissan murano engine stop after 45 min runn, to starting again at least need 10 or 20 min. in computer checking there is no any failer code. what can Ido to resolve the car problem?
Extremely likely pull one from the junkyard make sure it's oem aftermarket version fails. The car should start though if it's bad u have another issue.
Hey Oz, My 2005 Altima keeps reving when on P or N, the rpms jump up & usually stays at 1.4 when idle. Like when I turn on cruise control & it goes down a small incline hill, you can feel it choke like it’s trying to stay with the set MPH. I swapped out that part & it still does it. Any idea what I should check out? I’m low income due to pandemic at the moment & looking to go the best route without breaking the bank to fix the issue. Thanks in advance
64 HAPz it can be a handful of stuff. I really don’t want to put you down the wrong path. What part of the nation are you in ? I know a lot of techs were I can send you to. They can charge the diag fee and make sure your vehicle is fixed right on the first go around
Knowing the circuit you can use a power probe to energize the solenoid. But the most important thing is to know the circuit. Don’t want to fry a module
Whats up Oz, I have that code as well. Long story short, my car on heavy acceleration feels like its dragging an anchor till the upper rpms. Could this be a factor. Getting one soon but figured you might have an opinion. Thanks brother, great vid!
@@Greenrida31 I tried the different air intake issues but didn't do anything. I bought a new fuel filter and was gonna install that but ended up selling it to a guy.

How can i check this exact problem without the fancy scanner you have?
Great video man: concise, strait to the point, good supporting material (diagram, tools etc.), well explained. Got yourself a new sub.

Thanks for the video, what if you replace the VIAS, and it still hasnt fixed the issue, what would be the next step? Repacing the whole intake?

Will the car judder if the sensors are failing? Or what are the symptoms

Where do you buy the part?

Will that part failing also throw the 1402 egr valve code?

What symptoms would show that would show its failing
What are the chances of this going bad on my 04 3.5 maxima? Will turn over but not start. Will this keep the vehicle from starting up ?

excellent video
Thanks for watching Ramdon. Glad you liked the video
I have P1800. Light is always on. I tried the ground and it didn't seem to be grounded.
Nicely done, thanks.
Mine is leaking air at the tip (black rectangular section). Is that normal or is it causing a vacuum leak?
Thats not normal, you need to replace it, it should not leak air
Great video bro 👍🏻 keep up the good work
Burt Pilon thank you very much for watching
I also have those same codes on a ‘04 Maxima. Can the P0340 cam sensor cause a P1800? I confirmed that the diaphragm is working properly.
Zaenestro don’t think so
@@OzMechanics dont think so 😂😂 it's good one bro
how much did you charge for the repair?
The442nd i honestly forgot. I work on hundreds of cars. I would have to look at my invoices

Oz Mechanics Oz Mechanics thanks for your response. I’m in northern Texas, the panhandle area. I just moved here about 6 weeks ago : Amarillo, Texas
What is the tablet that you’re using? Is it possible to somehow turn the solenoid on and off without special diagnostic tools like yours?
Knowing the circuit you can use a power probe to energize the solenoid. But the most important thing is to know the circuit. Don’t want to fry a module
What scan tool/hardware are you using that lets you activate and deactivate the VIAS valve?

Thanks
You didn't show video when it wasn't working

@@OzMechanics you didn't show if it was on/off because you blocked it with your tablet.
