    The magnetic Retarder where the solenoids are bolted on needs to be replaced, after you must have replaced the cam and vvt sensors, the gallery gasket replacement was supposed to be the last resolution.

    Good video. The correct way of saying it is it’s gallery not galley but good explanation overall. But I replaced mine on my IPL with 50k for preventative maintenance using eps tuning gaskets and hardware. The oem hardware stinks and is a known issue to have it back out along with the bad paper gasket. The Updated OEM isnt much better. The best way to tell if your gallery gasket is going is to oil pressure test on warm idol if it’s below double digit psi know it’s going out. Thanks and subbed

    Man I just did so much work to my g. It’s an entirely new car. I just did this repair along with my valve covers and I can’t get it to start now. I’m throwing a u0101 code no communication with tcm. The car fires up what seams like normal but then instantly the idle jumps all up and down from 1200 to 300 until it dies a couple seconds later. To me it seams like it’s not getting gas. But I’m so lost. I had the fuel pump fuse out the entire project and I cranked it to gain chain tension. With the fuse back in I can’t get it to start :( so lost. And I hope I didn’t ruin my car.

      Yes. I believe it was a false code. Ran a compression test and I got a dreadful 60 psi in my first cylinder. So stopped there and didn’t even bother testing the others. I believe my timing is off I possibly wasn’t at TDC. Not sure how the valves held up but they are most likely bent slightly. I’m doing some research on some jwt c2 cams since I will be taking apart the heads. Good chance I’ll take it to a shop for that. The car has manny mods and I can’t wait to have it back.

    Hey bro thanks for all your videos but i have a problem in g37 2010. Before i change the gasket and stuff i just wanna be sure that im changing the wrong part that is causing the problem..
    the radiator empty and reservoir is full.. thats my problem.. no hose leak at all, thermo changed, radiator cap genuine part changed, no air in the system bc in using special coolant refill tool.. due to searches they said gasket but the oil is so pure in the engine and is not mixed with water..
    I was thinking about the radiator maybe? Could failure radiator fail to vacuum the coolant from the reservoir?
    When i open the cap i feel like its pressure more that vacuuming.. its like always pressure in the radiator no vacuum at all thats why the radiator dont gain water back from The reservoir.. what do you think i should do?

    • @ERICSDIYGARAGE
      @ERICSDIYGARAGE  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The overflow tanks designe on these vehicles is not great it should fill the radiator if it's running low, but they don't work well. I tell people to first fill the radiator where the radiator cap screw in and use a funnel to bleed the air out. If you don't have any coolant inside the radiator it's going somewhere. The engine oil doesn't have to have signs off coolant contamination the head gasket can still have a hairline Crack and consume coolant that way. I would take it to a mechanic to diagnose it for you

    • @samo0golf
      @samo0golf 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ERICSDIYGARAGEthe radiator is emptying the coolant in the reservoir when it operats to normal tempreture. but then it doesnt gain back the over flowed water after the car cools down. that means there no enough vaccum to put the cap's safey lock down and allow water to go back to the radiator. i have to do that evey other day and pour the overflowed water back from reservoir to radiator with the same amount of water flowed. that indicates, there is no hose leak anywhere. im sure that there is no any leak. just the water doesnt go back to the radiator when the car cools down.
