    I’m new to the Jeep community and my brakes went out recently. After watching these videos I’m confident to change out all my rotors and brake pads as well as flush my brake lines and bleed my brakes. Thank you!

    Thank you for making working on my YJ idiot-proof! I’m learning as I go and you’ve been an excellent resource. I appreciate you adding all the extra ‘obvious’ steps, not everyone knows them.

    Just did the rear brakes on my ´89 YJ last week. Now that they work properly, I noticed I'll need to do the front too. This video is perfect for a first timer like myself to demystify the works of the front disk brakes.
    Thank you again for a great tutorial!

    Thank you for an outstanding video. This helped me very much to accomplish my replacement of front brakes on my 1993 YJ. You Rock Sir!

    I'm halfway through this. Thanks for the help! I think mine were replaced by someone...not 10mm but 1/2inch. '95 Rio Grande Wrangler.

    I put a small amount of antseize on my brake pad sliding areas so that the pads can move more easy on the knuckle as they wear down.

    It's a great video. one thing I got hung up on are the caliper bolts. The heads on my Jeep appear to be hex heads.

    • @Poweraddicts
      @Poweraddicts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That not uncommon. Either someone replaced the bolts or someone replaced the calipers at some time and the bolts came with the caliper. Also, Jeep had been known to change hardware mid year. But whatever the reason hex head bolts work just fine as well.

    Thanks. Changed front brakes/ rotors on my YJ but getting excessive amount of dust on my wheels. It also smells like burning brakes. Think the calipers are stuck? Also an amount of resistance where it doesn't roll. thx again!

      My thoughts are ... if you suspect faulty calipers. Change them now instead of causing a headache later. Change the rubber brake lines as well, they are known for coming apart on the inside and causing issues.

    My pads came with a bag of metal clips. Not needed? Thanks for the video.

    • @Poweraddicts
      @Poweraddicts  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they keep the pads from shifting around. You are welcome!

    What would be the easiest 8.8 swap for my YJ? Hoping to find good gears already in there for my 33s or 35s like 4.10 or 4.56. Thank you and is bolt on or do I need to weld?

    • @Poweraddicts
      @Poweraddicts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Get an 8.8 from an 1995 and up Explorer. Yep, there will be welding involved.

    Is Dot 4 brake fluid better than the. 3 should I bother using. For or just stick with 3

    • @seamusb.8933
      @seamusb.8933 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Either works fine. 4 is higher temperature for track driving and heavy braking. 3 is cheaper and works well also

    • @Poweraddicts
      @Poweraddicts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dot 4 is more high temp. Dot 3 will still work fine.

    I always use an old wire hanger instead of string...
