That’s a bummer to happen to your ST, housing had to be changed on mine a few years back as the oil heater element went short circuit and was blowing fuses. Hopefully won’t be too long till you get the new part fitted and the ST is back on the road 👍
I know where your coming from 2 months before I sold my ST I had to change mine oil filter housing. Its not a difficult job, you need to remove the airbox assembley to get to it which is a pain. Where ur lucky you got the RS style ecu holder sometimes the breather hose from the assembly to the block can be damaged needed to be replaced as well.
@@mastersmods I rebuilt my mates angine as his was spewing oil out the housing. Ended up being 2 cracked pistons 😳 I'd say yours just needs a new housing 😁
Different question but have you had trouble at all with the engine malfunction message? Cutting out got it back today, felt a bit Jerky accelerating, give it some power and the message came back on and cut out , luckily by my house, was idling a bit Jerky too
Unplug the maf and see if it runs any better or differently. If it does then your mafs buggered id say. If not then check to see if it's bringing up any codes
I had the same problem mate bought a new one then that one leaked , then bought a breather kit that spewed blue smoke turns out piston rings had gone and had oval bores lol
@@mastersmods hopefully yours is ok mate get it compression tested bud and save yourself keep buying breathers , I had a few problems from previous garages that contributed to that failure , in your case it’s probably just your housing
@@mastersmods I thought if the number ended in a 5 which yours does that that is the most recent revision. Looks like yours may have been changed previous to you having the car. I may be wrong haha, I usually am according to the wife
That's not to bad a news that's repairable, I pulled a head off one a few weeks ago as the guy said he was told his head gasket had gone, if only it was just a gasket gone, I found a crack in the cylinder liner, looks like the car is going to be scrapped now due to the cost, there is an engine mod you can do to help prevent it happening but it does mean taking the head off to insert shims between the cylinders
@@mastersmods Not my car i just work for the person who own's it, guess having looked round the engines don't come cheap second hand and with the extra cost of getting me to install it just went over the his budget

Yea mate I've ordered that as well as I heard they can be brittle by now
Also, its your boost solenoid if your needle from turbo is not maxing past 3 quarters.
I had replaced that with a brand new unit from matt Lewis motorsport so I was confident it wasn't that

Glad your back. I was going to comment on your last video and ask if everything is ok. But now I know.
Keep your chin up start fresh next week. Xx
Thanks Jane, videos coming back to the channel every week soon
Ah man sucks, sorry to hear you're having issues. Hopefully back in business soon enough!
Yeah mate 100% 💪🏼 just sucks having to spend that much on servicing stuff, that money could have got me my next 4 mods that I have planned 😂
Check your cam seals aswel bud, if the PCV goes sour it tends too push the seals out and you get oil on the belt.
Yeah mate I will do, when I replace the housing I'll have everything out and inspect it all
Either oil filter housing lid has lifted and created a leak on the seal or you have excessive crank case pressure blowing oil out the seal.
Hoping it's not the lata 🙈

Am I right in thinking yours is the most recent updated filter housing version 5. Mines a version 4
Not to my knowledge mate no, the 90 numbers are the uprated from what I've seen but I've also seen a lot of conflicting information

Hope sorted soon mate

lol, its the diagrphram, not the housing that is the problem, £25 off ebay for the new rubber better seal m8.
