Bought a pair of these for my golf gti mk 7.5. Installation was easy but almost impossible to close at first, when i finally got tailgate to close for first time i noticed that the tailgate was all out of align.Had to take to a bodyshop and thet said one of the hinges was slightly bent.Emerald struts didn't want to know!!my advice is save your money and open your tailgate manually.
I actually have a new boot strut to fit. Had a rattle for at least 6 months that I couldn't find. Managed to find that it was the boot strut. These would be perfect on my Mk2.5 ST. Trying to open the boot with just 1 strut is quite heavy.
Nice vid as always! Thanks to you I had the pleasure of driving a Mk2 ST aswell for roughly a year. Sold it recently for a Mk3 RS and I gotta say I miss that 5 pot a little but I don't regret it!
Just got my MK2 Focus ST 3 weeks ago. Your videos have given me much inspiration on mods and given me back my passion for Fast cars. Keep up the great content George. And the videos with Owen are brilliant mate. Good addition to your channel. Oh and are you selling the GCM stickers yet? 👍👍
Nice idea. Ridiculously overpriced for what is essentially a gas strut with a coloured spring on the end. At best they should cost no more than £40 delivered.
I got me set of these a bit ago. For my ST3 .I do have to be a little American here it’s a hatch. How did it ever start being called a boot for y’all? But back to the shocks very well made. I get a lot of wow looks when the hatch gos up w/no hands.
As a panel beater these automatic opening boots/tailgates are possibly the biggest pain in the arse in my trade. Granted these seem to open a lot faster than factory fitted versions... But unless you're handicapped I see literally no purpose for these besides pure laziness. Each to their own but personally I say spend your money on something worthwhile for your car.
I had them on my m135i and when I closed my boot. I noticed they made my boot rub where they push down so hard. They’ve damaged all of my boot lip and rear bumper
Shame they don’t do them for the Astra K. Maybe I’m being a little thick but how can they bypass the boot lock ? Because on my car I’d still need to press the button lock/unlock on the actual boot lip before it opened. It’s not just a simple matter of pressing the key fob.
@@GCMYT I fully agree about the honesty part. When the mk3s started failing he offered to replace the struts or give full refunds with no hassle what so ever
I've Just installed some of these on my Focus mk4 They are great so far! Now I can flex on people in Asda's car park XD The only thing I'm not sure on is the pins. The top ones go in fine but the bottom ones don't seem to go in properly but I don't think they are going to be coming off anytime soon.
Hi could you do a tiktok or reply with an answer on here i got a question Basically i installed new sweeping indicators on my side mirrors, they been wired and programmed in so basically when u open the doors it turns on as blue, but when you close the doors the lights shut off, so it would be legal to drive with them, and if you use your indicators they work as orange not blue, blue only turns on when the car is stationary and the doors are open, I know its illegal to have any blue lights on the car while driving, but when stationary I’m not breaking any laws right? So my question, is my new sweeping indicators legal or not?
I am worried about the enormous strain and stress the mounts are being put into. Also the boot will get warped i guess. Other than that it is a cool mod i would like to fit to my car if it wasn't for what i just said😂
how have you got them all ready, ony got the email saying that they are in stock, could of save myself 10% if I saw your video first, o well never mind. my boot Struts have gone, boot keeps smacking me in the head.😂
Exactly what I did on my mk6 golf...2 compression springs off aliexpress £1.60 each.....2 years later and still working like they day I installed them 😀
You're not alone. I've had their adverts flooding my feed for ages, and got hopeful that they were finally doing them for the 350z (as the struts and the boot poppers always, always go on them) after seeing "Any car" in the title.

Been waiting forever for these.
Got a notification when they launched them but were already sold out. Not seen any more since then 😄
Ahhh, now they are up for sale.
love this! I'm planning on getting a mk3 ST so looking around for some simple mods, this definitely going on the list
Ordered.. Can't wait
When you said there would sell out quick you weren't kidding already sold out
Sarah they go live at 7pm. They haven’t even gone up yet. Be patient
@@GCMYT got it. 👍
Bro I look every other week and they always seem to sell outrageously quickly

The art of supply and demand. If the public (morons) don't buy, the price would come down.
Just find a strong gas strut. The video is helpful but buy something else
They warp your boot over time
@@vinny03 Yeh I've seen the damage these can cause. Big no no

Definitely on my wishlist
Bro don’t wish go 4 it
my 2006 Honda accord opens and closes via the remote so hardly new
I had these for a short time in my 1 series BMW but didn't like the fact that the boot was really hard to close with those springs lol
They soften up over time :) mine are fine now :)
I had them on my m135i and when I closed my boot. I noticed they made my boot rub where they push down so hard. They’ve damaged all of my boot lip and rear bumper
Awesome upgrade 👌
Can't seem to find any for my 2013 hyundsi ix35.
Link for this diffuser plz ?

Hi bud, do u have a vid on how to install a mk2 rs spoiler
I need one for my gti MK 8!
aye bro, where did you get the rear diffuser?
Have these been tested better than the mk3s? Don't really want to start bending my mounting brackets...
So far so good on mine :) I’m happy with them :) he’s very honest too. Any problems he’s happy to sort. That gives me confidence :)

I would love a set of these but I have an mk1 and it doesn't look like they make them yet
Need to do a mk3 estate strut

How have they held up?
@cecil4485 So far they have been quite good they have started to get a little weaker now so it's easier to close the boot
@Matt-di6nb any warping and dints where you close the boot from?
It then goes and causes damage to the mounting points due to the Increased pressure. Seen mounting points prized off
Nice 👌 George

Buckle your boot in time bad them on mine
I def wouldn’t install these. It means the hinges/boot catch is under constant pressure when closed.
handsome boy
"on any car" well they don't have one for my Porsche 924 :(
If there is a demand for them he will produce them :) I guess a rare car like yours isn’t as commonly requested haha
