I currently work as a Design Engineer at Kooks. I've got the headers on my 2006 P71. It wasn't difficult to install. Took me around 2.5-3 hours. Custom work included headers catted X pipe and 90 degree bend with dual tips.

how long did it take to change headers ? is there any tips on how to take off old ones . someone told me to cut off bolt studs , then take off manifold ,then get vise grips to remove rest of studs . if its too hard to do , how much will it cost for mech to do it.

Nice work Pier, it's nice to see them side by side like that. Is the Kooks set made to work with a factory cat-back or is custom work necessary?

thank you very much
yes they do
Awesome
thanks
thanks man ;)
I would like to get headers, but they’re just too expensive for these cars. It’s insane.
yep exactly
I am very impressed with this but can I also do this in Lincoln Town Car 2006 !!?
Does stainless works make them to fit the 1996? I would like to know.
what brand are the long headers and that its work on a 2005 crown victoria
what kind of headers can I get for an Mercury Grand Marquis? it's a 4.6 engine
Wich headers are lighter?
They said it needs kooks connection pipe but there's no crown Vic connection pipes
Do you have a set for sale :D
I want to buy capes and I want your advice only, which is the best kooks & SW
stainlwss works are the best and easier to install

usualy headers job requires quite a lot of time and tools to get it done properly. Need a welder, blow torch usualy to get around broken studs.
What type of HP gains can you expect from either of these? I've been thinking of building a newer crown vic. Any advice?
5-20 hp depends on what else is done to that car
Stainless works 20-30

I found headers for 03-04 crown vic on amazon. But can they fit my grand marquis 04? Or would i have to make some modifications?
a 2004 grand marquis is exactly the same car as a crown vic so it will fit.
Wats the name of the long to headers on amazon can’t find none??????
will the computer give check engine codes with the headers?
if yes will the tuning modules clear out all codes and give good performance??
thx.

yes

what's the dyno numbers for both?
