    Thanks for posting this. I have a tough time doing any OHP/Miltary Press movement because they absolutely kill my right shoulder. Tried these after I benched yesterday and was able to do them almost pain free. Super excited I found an OHP I can actually do!!

    This without a doubt builds the lateral head of the tricep and the upper chest like no other. The contraction is high intensity which is what the lateral head responds to.

    some people really need to do the research before commenting, this is for strengthening specific parts of the press lift.

      ***** I did just 750 lbs squat (was bad warm up), 615 bench press (5 lbs PR), 615 Deadlift (15 lbs PR), Total 1980. Couple people did their first competition and both reached over 1900 in 198 lbs. Travis Bell did 900 lbs bench press.

    stupid question....why not do a pin press starting closer to the chest and work the upper pec/delt area¿

      The system they follow includes many, many types of pressing motions. For example, it's possible they occasionally do the movement you mentioned. I will say, however, that these guys tend to worry most about lockout power, not the part where the bar is close to the chest. That's because the sport allows bench shirts, which helps the lifter the most out of the bottom.
