Thanks for watching and now for a short advertisement: I've prepared a new limited-edition print run available at art.alluringarctic.com . These prints are only going to be sold until the end of August. Starting from $99, shipping worldwide, and with free shipping if you order 2 or more prints. These are really high-quality prints with the ink printed directly onto the aluminum panel! They look amazing, super happy about how they turned out!
The print sales are actually a kind of a kickoff for our Northwest Passage project. After the end of August we should hopefully be busy dodging icebergs and polar bears in Greenland so I won't have the time to keep up with the webstore, and that's one of the reasons for doing just a limited-time run ;) Have a look at art.alluringarctic.com and I hope you find one you like!
Are the prints waterproof as I would like to out one up in a bathroom?
I didn’t quite understand how Lumi was managing to stay upright. I know the full keel and skeg help but still she doesn’t go on to her side.
The aesthetics of this video are sublime.
Winter in that forest ? Beaching a boat in a really shallow inlet? Absolutely BEAUTIFUL
At first I already thought: This is EPIC.
Then, the drone shots came in
Then, you went paddle boarding.
Then, you went SKIING?
What more can I ask for? It just kept on getting better!!
Then, a bear showed up
What a life. As a US Naval sailor, I've always wanted to return to the open sea but never had the chance. This cures my aches.
You can call to the sea, but it may not sing back.
It's okay, Shipmate...your feet were where they needed to be.
The original lgbtq club U.S. Navy
It's great to see people with lifting centerboard/swing keels actually showing the capabilities of these vessels! 😄👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I still don't get why the boat does not swing to one side with so much slack on the ropes. Is the boat a dual-keel or ... ??
Right ! As kid in 80s I always see the big sails out water in winter. Lake superior always baffled me how the smaller ones could be in yards
Love my 26' Balboa swing keel, can beach it, but sometimes have to pick rocks and sticks out.
First video I've seen from this channel, haven’t got to the actual beaching yet and I was wondering "how are they gonna beach a boat with a keel?" Now I realize
i was wondering about the Keel, Ive had one sail boat and wanting another, ill definitely be checking these out.
Stunning cinematography.
He's really good. And that is a lot of work to get those shots
Damn you're in a beautiful spot.
One of your most enjoyable episodes guys.
Thank you! Yeah it was one of the nicest spots we've been to..
I've faced enough life/death situations in the ocean to not really want to have anything to do with sailing and small boats but thank you for letting me live vicariously through this video.
19:22 Those weren't bear tracks, those were wolverine tracks! Excellent find!
The BEST Sailing channel, bar none. THE BEST.
Yes, I much prefer this to all the equator TH-cam sailers.
There's a cpl other good ones there just not on the water ATM
But I do agree ATM this is the best channel on the water ATM and they have a very relaxing channel and content
I love it too, but I don’t have the guts to say that.
Agreed

Your wife is a trooper, exceptionally helpful! My wife would have looked at me over her cup of coffee and just glared at me… to mean “Me? Run holding lines? No.” LOL! 😂
“Its so nice to sit on a very sharp rock” seems like such a lovely Finish way to express joy. Lovely channel to stumble across, looking forward to the north west passage,
I can’t imagine how strenuous it would be to climb from the waters edge to the top of a mountain in skis. I wouldn’t make it 100 meters! Very impressive that you two are able to physically do that!👏👏😊😊
Those Suomi are tough people!
how did she turn her skis into a snowboard is what I want to know
And me too)))
It called splitskis, so you can tour in them as skis and then join them together and snowboard down.
@@Captainhaddockthethird Want! Thanks!
Such a treat - fast becoming one of the handful of channels I really look forward to.
I used to eat saltine crackers with grape jelly when I was a kid. I had forgotten all about it until watching you and Sohvi eating crackers and jam.
Just when one thought a vlog could not get any better this comes along...sublime.
This is on so many levels very professional. The fantastic work on camera angles allowing the viewer to imagine they are there: at the same time telling a story without endless and repetitive narrative. Sohvi says so much by saying so little which is so refreshing to find on vlogs.
Really the scenery is so spectacular and your drone shots of the vessel in such isolation are mesmerising. With such a high standard of filming just demonstrates why narrative and music are not only not required but an annoying distraction. Looking forward to the north west passage.
Many thanks for you hard work in producing this.
Sohvi’s favorite “Granite Cove"
I appreciate how much work went into setting up those shots, particularly the skiing ones.
Sohvi's favourite : the one looking out Lumi's window . I can picture Sohvi sipping on some hot chocolate while looking out of that window :)
Yeah, but not American hot chocolate. :)
Sohvi's favorite should be the one with the window.
It's different from your usual ones, and talks about a home, not only a boat.
A home with very nice, always different views from its windows 🤩
Cheese and jam are awesome, Sohvi is "The Snack Bandit"
I love when you speak your native language. You guys are the best. I tbink Sohvi picks the last one, with the sunlight from the right.
I believe it’s the first picture, so crisp and reflective of what you are describing.
Enjoying your videos
Many of us here watching are living vicariously through your videos. We hear the sounds, see the images, but miss the tastes and smells..the whole experience. Seaweed, coffee, crackers and jam, and for me, imagining the heat coming off a cabin heater is the what I miss most. Cold and heat.
The purity of this channel makes my heart warm... Icebreakers indeed.
The same snacks with your same person on another day in a new place is a beautiful life to live.
Sohvi's Fav: The Sun pic last one standing
I think Sohvi's favourite picture IS the first one because is spectacular and you can see the boat so clearly
Sophies fav is where she enjoys being, nice and cozy in the boat looking out the window.
My favorite channel. Thank you for your high quality, thoughtful videos. I think Sohvi likes the Glacial Moraine Paddle Boarding print best.
The two of you work together to do manouvers many sailors never try. Impressive
I loved the paddle board and ski footage the best. Excellent video. A big thank you.
Sohvi's view out the lumi window. That's my favorite too.
Love you two kids, playing and imagining which ice breakers you are. 🙂
I think Sohvi's favorite shot is the first one presented. The shot where you can clearly clearly see the bow lines and stern lines
Sohvi's favourite picture: The one looking outside from Lumis window.
Stunning Video and pictures!
I worked in the Chukchi Sea with several icebreakers, one was the Fennica! Also the Nordica icebreaker. And a Swedish icebreaker Tor Viking which rescued a mariner and his cat from a sinking sailboat. I was on the Aiviq icebreaker.
Hi Juho. I think Sohvi's favorite print is the "a look out of Lumi's window" . Good luck!
I think Sohvi’s favorite is looking through the window. Great video!
Sohvi's favourite : the one looking out Lumi's window
Hot coffee for the Fin who doesn't like coffee. I guess bringing it was instinctually Fin, no?
"look I am outside and I am drinking coffee" -A true influencer
Need a artsy shot of that with the caption. will sell like mad on the usual suspects haha.
Just randomly came across this channel and I'm blown away. I thought this guy is crazy to think he can put his boat there. Then I was surprised it worked and how it just stayed there. Impressive channel.
You Finnish folk do show us the pleasures of this remote living. It’s nice lifestyle for sure.
Sohvi's favourite would be the one of your yacht tied up 16/9 format
Aside from my interest in your homeland traditions, your ability to show off the remote locales is superb. Definitely the best channel for authenticity and relaxation. Thank you.
Great video. I must say, I think you are the drone-shot master of YT. Of course the scenery helps, but still - they are truly beautiful. The BBC couldn't have done it better.
Seems like we are many that agree about the WINDOW VIEW being her favorite 😊
The best cinematography of all the sailing channels
This clip was really special.
She likes the picture of the boat on land, so do I. Love you guys. ❤❤❤❤❤❤.
Watching "LIVE" from Quakertown, Pennsylvania, USA, and aspiring to be the "VIEWER OF THE EVENT"!
Sohvi's fave: Half frozen anchorage.
Watching from Sweden, dreaming myself into your shoes!
I think Sohvi's favorite is the one looking out the port. She spends much time there doing her research and such. Either way, good luck to you both.
Her sitting by the window shot. Are view looking out together. Both dreams held together in one beautiful picture.
Relly nice shots!!
Sovhi's favorite: The first picture. You can see the boat so clear!
Sohvi's favourite must be the second picture, a sublime eagleye view through a lens of snow. You have a very unique way of being and living the experience. Thank you for letting us in.
Cool, grounded and more fun cranking turns with silence!
I think Sohvi's favourite picture is number four "The misty peak".
I believe her favorite is escaping the winter storm, What a fantastic channel.
It’s always a beautiful thing to witness a unique ‘love language” in action! “Finnish Ice-Breaker as Spirit Animal” is definitely a new one in my book. You two make a wonderful pair!
Sohvi’s favorite is the one that you’re beached with the beautiful snow dusting on the trees. I must make a confession though, as much as I like all of them that particular one is my favorite.😊
I never would’ve even considered doing this. What a true master. I have so much to learn.
Sohvi’s favorite perhaps Glacial Moraine Paddleboarding? 🌊🗻
As a 30 year transplanted AK resident. I have done what you are doing, except on a M/V. New sub here, you folks are funny and great drone operations and capable of all that's needed!
I think the window view print is her favourite. I think it is beautiful and would brighten up my windowless workspace x
I think her favorite print is the view out of the window. Much time studying and this has been her view!
Sohvi’s favorite is the one looking out from the window to the sea beyond.
sohvi's pick: 2nd from last, the drone shot of the mountains and the boat
Truly an unique look at the Alaskan coast. Cool.
Amazing photos and cinematography! Real down to earth people living a real adventure!
Sohvi’s favorite may be the 4 th one on the dock. The boat, the mountains, and beautiful water
Sohvi's favorite: the first one with the green! ❤ That's my favorite anyway.
I’m impressed hiking, climbing, skiing up a mountain. looked like a beautiful view from up there - and skiing down - wow
Thanks for another wonderful view into your Alaskan adventures!
My guess is that Sohvi's favorite is the boat out in the bay „half frozen anchorage“
This was a fantastic video! Not sure how you do it, but you make the cold (and wet) somehow feel cozy.
I think Sohvi's favourite print is the first one as it looks like Christmas with Lumi being the centre piece Christmas decoration ❤
Sohvi's favorite: The aerial shot of Lumi front a distance with the fog and mountains. Capture's the essence of your adventure in Alaska. Thank you for all your great videos. Love your perspective and laid back jive!
I think Sohvi's favourite is the half frozen anchorage after a cold night.
The second to last print must be the favorite! It has a beautiful, dreamy feel. It is very feminine, and inviting! This must be the favorite!!
You two are awesome and very kind, thanks for sharing your adventure.
We think Sohvis favorite is the view from Lumis window. Thanks for the video today!
Looking out from the window is her fav. Such gorgeous scenes. I love them all!
Absolutely wonderful! I love the serenity of your adventures. We grew up in Alaska, and my brother was born in Anchorage. I still remember the sky, the blue ice, and the moose everywhere! Thank you for sharing and your prints are stunning, I believe the "Dreamy sailing" is her favorite.
I think Sohvi’s favorite is looking out Lumis window: Dreamy sailing, Prince William Sound, Alaska
Amazing adventure, you always find a new way to set the bar 💪⛵️
Those first two prints are absolutely gorgeous!
Another a scenic video, thank you both very much.
I live 60 miles from that bay and have been a commercial fisherman for five decades in Alaskan waters and Prince William Sound specifically....this is a ridiculous spectacle...probably the calmest most protected waters in the entire Pacific Ocean
I think she likes the second big horizontal print with all the snow falling. Wow this was an amazing video. I was glued. Thank you for sharing your adventures, glad your subscribers are growing
As someone who has lived in the Yukon winter and sailed in British Columbia, as well as a Colorado Rockies skiers, what you two are doing is pretty amazing. Calculating the tides and marking it well. Smart and kind people to follow in this world. Thank you for this.
Amazing video's thanks for sharing.
The knowledge is remarkable. It is always so satisfying to watch someone who knows what their doing accomplish tasks which would baffle the rest of us. The thought to do this would never cross my mind, of course I’m not a sailer, but this is next level. Amazing!!!
For Sohvi's favorite. Escaping the winter storm, Eaglek Bay, Alaska
Finnish-style coffee, you can't beat it!
This was one of my favorite videos you have made. Nice job. I look forward to your journey on the NW Passage.
19:30 omg... skiing down must have been very surreal... I can't imagine doing something so unique
Sohvi’s favourite print is the first one on the left because that’s my favourite as well. The one where’s Lumi on the hard.
Dreamy sailing, Prince William Sound, Alaska is Sohvi’s favourite I think 🤞😀
My brain feels better after watching this video. Such beautiful scenery 😍
😂. I love the mock of the “influencer”. You two are in another league. Fair winds, following seas, and a good clear bottom to beach Lumi!
Love the skiing! I have the ripstick tour skis as well, they’re fantastic. Very agile for a long ski.
