- On the FOURTH day of being stuck at sea, the storm hit us! We woke up to some drama and had to act quickly! Dont know if this is a silly question but have you already made a Svalbard yearly calendar? I think that might be something people would like to buy for example as a Christmas present. Photos of glaciers, the dogs playing out in the snow, nightless nightw, aurora..

Grimm is like a canine version of Cristoffer, so chill, while Fenris and Cecilia had the exact same anxious expression (Cecilia braving the waves, Fenris in the shower but both looking quite unimpressed)😂
Fenris and Cecilia also have quite the same hair colour!=)

Fenris was such a good boy in the shower!! He stood soo still and didn’t even shake off until it was ok!! Grimm… was trying to escape from the shower before he was even shampooed!!! Lol. 😂 ❤❤

Dogs are Angels from Heaven and next to human babies, they are the most SPECIAL, PERFECT, LOVING CREATURES in ALLLL the UNIVERSES! I discovered my absolute rabid adoration of canines VERY late in life, just about 5 years ago, at age 57! Hit me HARD, changed EVERYTHING about my life, and I find myself tearing up almost daily at just the sheer bliss my Sasha provides 🙏🏽!
And next to Sasha, my 70# Puginu Shepherd, and dogs named Sosa,Tucker, and Freya, your beautiful Fin and Grim, give me cause to fall in love with THEM too, gazing in their eyes, admiring their stunning appearance....well it's a huge, wonderful TREAT.

PS My first husband was Norwegian and German, and I am getting a kick out of imagining us as a young couple, living in Svalbard! His parents shared a lot of that history before they passed away, and I literally recognize their heritage in these Videos!
I just had to say this is an excellent production. 9:04 Cecilia sits in the chair, cut to closeup of hands on controls, cut to view of controls, cut to Christopher, cut to UAV view of the boat, all overlaid with tranquil music. .... It's all so smooth I had to watch it a few times to see that the sit and the closeup shots had two landscapes. These vids show us a piece of the world most of us will never see in person. It's all so peaceful even when the waves are choppy.
She is a woman. She can multitask of course. Thanks for an amazing content.

It always makes me laugh when Cecilia tries to involve Chris in the conversation or get a reaction from him.
It took me a few videos to understand Christoffer’s way. I now appreciate that uniqueness. He is fortunate that Cecilia thinks so highly of him.

I am lighting a candle for you, I survived cancer 20 years ago (I am 61 now) so try to feel as good as you can while you fight it off. There are new treatments coming out this year too, I think, for some cancers that are game changing. I got discouraged a lot at times, but having someone to tell all my most scary feelings to really helped as well, it's impossible to be cheery attitude all the time, I had to mourn being sick to gather strength to get better, it's all important! Take care, it's going to be ok. 🤩

I live in what is usually a very moderate climate on the midAtlantic coast of the U.S. Over the past couple of winters, after having watched your videos, when I go outside and it's cold for our area, I remind myself, "it's not as cold as Svalbard." Glad you all made it home safely.

I live on a little island, and love watching the sea. For people who live in-land, it can be tricky to understand the waves and swells of the sea. My first thought was, "I'm glad I am not out on that." The second thought was, "They must have reached home safely to be able to post a video." :)
I love the deep sea green colour, with flecks of white. It's so energising to walk along a path close to the sea like that.

All my life I was convinced that I loved winter, snow, cold, mountains (though not the raging water). But since following your vlog, I've realized that everything I thought I loved before, seems really scary to me, even the sea. So, I think it's better to stay where I am now. Thank you for the experience, very good job.

I would love a video of a snow fall for an hour from your window in winter possibly with crackling fire or gently whistling wind...I loved the focus in Fenris with his eyes closing helping me to feel sleepy. Great editing as always.

@@CeciliaBlomdahl your boat manufacturer/Designer did a exception job with this boat design layout. LOVE all the windows, which you dont often see this size of windows for this size of boat. And, the interior layout kitchen/sitting area is really nice no matter where you are in the cabin you have amazing view. Would you happen to know what caused the two dark curving lines on the glacier? It really is a spectacular view. and I love how you talk to puppers, it says a lot about a person character (caring for something with no expectation of something in return) so happy to have found your channel!
those are called moraines. dirt, rock and other stuff accumulates and is dragged along the sides of the glacier. when two glaciers meet and merge together, the moraines between them get forced together and on top of the combined glacier. I think what happened here is that a small glacier got squeezed between two larger glaciers that all merged together.
(I googled it because I didn't know either :p)

I came to know about Svalbard in 2017, during my first-ever solo to Iceland, and I've been in absolute awe of it since then. Your videos are a complete delightful to the soul, keep 'em coming
