- Today we are making Pork Belly Char Siu. And it is made faster, easier and tastier, with an air fryer.
Ingredients:
600g Pork Belly
30g Chinese fermented red bean curd + 3 tsp of its preserved sauce
1 Tbsp oyster sauce
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp Chinese cooking wine
1 Tbsp preserved bean sauce (taucheo)
1/4 tsp white pepper
4 Tbsp honey
Glaze
2 Tbsp honey
1 tsp dark soy sauce
Pinch of salt and pepper

Pork Belly Char Siu is juicier than your regular char siu. And you can make it even faster in an air fryer. This video will show you how.
This recipe is nice, but consider high cost in the marination.
This is the only recipe I could find that addressed pork belly+charsiu+air fryer. I wouldn't have normally thought to remove the skin, and I had no idea on temp and timing. Worked beautifully. Thanks!

It will not affect the final product much. Can you get to eat the skin. 😃
OR you can just buy Lee Kum Kee char siu sauce for the marinade. lol.
