I’ve decided to post a review after reading some negative ones th-cam.com/users/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB I followed the cleaning instructions prior to using and preheated as well to ensure that we didn’t get the “plastic” smell or taste some have mentioned in other comments. I cleaned the basket with vinegar and water and the dish soap, and preheated it 3x to be sure. Honestly, the cooking time took about 30 min for larger wings and it’s a good idea to turn the meat half way through to cook evenly. The meat taste delicious 😋 Also, there is no mess on the counter from the vapor released during cooking time.

A lot of the other videos I have seen people put salt on the pork skin first before putting it in the fridge. That way it will dry the skin out more than when you take the pork belly off the fridge scrape the excess salt off and pat it dry.

One tip I found that makes the crackle amazing is to use apple cider vinegar and a light sprinkle of baking soda before you dry out in the fridge it comes out perfect for me. 🙏🏻🫶🏻☺️

This is my tried and tested recipe, thank you for sharing. The one thing i add is Chinese five spice powder to the seasoning.

Best recipes. Easy to follow to have good results. If you have a thicker piece, you should add another 20-30 mins with the salt.

Hey! Fine table salt or rock salt will work fine. Never try with coarse salt yet. More or less 1 kg. 😄😄

Oh no, sorry it took a month to reply and if you still have the piece, cook for 15 min at 150 celcius and 10 to 15 min at 200 celcius

Foil on better. We just need the crisp on top. Avoid direct heat to the meat for tenderness. Crispy on top Tender and juicy meat

It was there to trap the flavour and also to protect from direct heat to keep the meat buttery soft.

Do it for 20 mins. And higher temp for 30 mins. But this depends on your pork belly size.

The salt won't penetrate in. It's there to absorb liquid so skin is dry enoigh to turn crispy
