If I have to extend the wire going to the battery how do I do it

Hi Wayne. I just purchased this unit and saw your question. I would think that you want to mount this charging unit as close to the batteries as possible to get a connection. The only other way to add cable would be to cut the eyelets and splice the proper length of red and black wire to reach the batteries. Doing this may void your warranty.
