  • Unboxing and installing the Noco Genius ( GENPRO 10x1 ) Battery Charger in my camper van. This is an AC charger designed to be mounted onboard to your camper van, boat or RV that will charge and maintain your batteries when pluged into AC shore Power. This gives me the piece of mind knowing that my auxiliary battery will be topped off and ready to go even if my van has been sitting for a while. This is a smart charger that has charge profiles for multiple batteries from standard lead acid to AGM and even Lithium lipo4. It features a battery repair mode ( desulfator ) to counteract the effects of sulfation in batteries that have been discharged too far in the past. It can also force a charge into completely dead batteries that are sitting below 1v of charge.

    I'm pleased with how it has worked so far, the build quality appears to be excellent and it comes with a 3 year warranty. I'll add any updates to this video should any problems arise in the future.

    I just installed the same model for charging my trolling motor battery after my Guest ChargePro quit working. Seems to be a great quality product. My battery is old but working fine but I will run it through the repair mode as well.

    Hey man awesome videos I’m subscribed. Quick question; do you think I can charge my onboard lithium battery with that Noco connected to the 12v port in my car while driving ?

    • @DonnieDispersed
      @DonnieDispersed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s only powered by the normal AC wall plug. So it can’t plug into a 12v port. Best bet would be to get a DC-DC charger for charging the lithium while driving.

    Can you use this to charge sa 6 to 8 batteries on a series connection? Any information would help appreciated in advance

      I believe there is a recommended AH limit. I would check on the NOCO website to be sure. You can chat with someone on the website and they are pretty helpful.

    I have this same one how often do I need to plug this in I read instructions that it's supposed to keep a trickle charge going to my battery but I know this mine only a lot lasted about a month or so then I had to charge it back up

    • @DonnieDispersed
      @DonnieDispersed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It has to be plugged in at all times to work. It doesn’t hold any charge on its own.

      @@DonnieDispersed thanks for responding so quickly I have a dump trailer with the deep cycle battery I was under the impression that this thing would maintain a charge but I guess not either way it's still good to be able to charge up my battery instead of constantly having to use jumper cables however I only get maybe about 5 - 10 dumps then I have to recharge it

    Is the maintenance mode good? I have 3 and 4 year old batteries. I want to revive the battery. Can he ??? ❌❌ ♥ ️

      I haven’t been able to get out to test the battery after running the repair cycle, but I know it ran the cycle the way it was supposed to cause I watched the voltage while it was running and it was spot on for what the manual said.

    Question, why did you swap for the two-way dual port one? I just purchased the single port one. What do you have plugged into the other port/line line? Trying to decide if I should return mine and get the dual like you did.
