    I had made my decision a long time ago however I still appreciate watching these sort of videos... This also reminds me of some of my days as a smoker when i had a cigarette but nothing to light it with. I was going to jump to an S as this was the closest to a hatchback but now have to wait for the Y to come to the UK.

    We have 3 Model S since 2014 and each car driven about 300.000km. Still as good as new. So happy with Tesla. At the moment it feels that we will have these cars another 5 or maybe even 10 years from now. We have solar panels at home and at work so not only have free super charging at SuC we also have free electricity at home and at work.

    Well done. I was hoping, though, for more of an explanation of the feeling factor. For example, I daily drive a 40-year-old Mercedes with a manual transmission, which is an absolute pleasure to drive because the old school engineering is so superb. Is a Tesla an exhilarating experience? I wonder what would best describe it.

    Do you still have this car? I’m picking up a 2018 Model S 75D in this exact same spec on Tuesday, even with the white interior. This is to replace my Model S 70, which I’ve owned since 2015. My current one is coming off warranty in December and I didn’t want to potentially spend $26000 in the older 70 to upgrade the battery. Mine still has MCU1, no surround cameras, no Enhanced Autopilot, etc. With the 75D I feel it’s future proof for me and if the battery pack cacks itself, I might upgrade to the 90kwh battery. Unless the Cybertruck arrives. Why an older Model S? We’ve got a 2023 M3P, which is our daily, but feel it’s much less a long distance family travel car. And can’t get myself to get a Model Y…

    your battery will get throttled if you DC charge too much so i would refrain from this unless you are on a road trip.

    I took over a 2018 model S 100 D lease and I am so glad I only have to drive it for a year. Jittery ride even with air suspension ,auto pilot on other then highway is poor at best. Screen cutting out all the time. Doesn't even have free charging anymore. Will not even buy at end of lease at discount -not convinced at value at all...

    I have a 2021 Model S and the only thing I don't like is the comfort of the seats. I'm 6' about 235 and had back surgery a few years ago, the materials seem generic and unlike the Infinti M56 every time i get out of the Model S I'm in pain, sometimes for days. Good thing is the car was purchased for my wife.

    • @rockwjz
      @rockwjz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea unfortunately they changed the seat and headrests configuration on the newer models. Best year of seats for both the S and X are from 2018 to late 2019 when they still had adjustable headrests and thicker padding.

    Okay that does it I'm buying a Tesla. I've been iffy the past couple months but now I'm confident in this purchase. The selling point for me is that the car gets better with age. I work in the IT field so that is def not a lie. Thank you so much!

    Really great video, thank you. I am considering buying a Model S P100D and having an honest real world review of what it’s like to live with and running costs is invaluable.
    One question I do still have is if it is suitable for ferrying a dog in the boot/trunk area? We have a Labrador so not a huge dog but we’re also considering going from a two car family to one so it’s pretty important.

    • @meloccom
      @meloccom 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes a Model S will carry a dog with ease. It even has “Dog Mode” where you can leave the climate control on for your animals comfort and safety and the centre screen shows a Dog Mode message saying that “My owner will return soon”. One proviso is that there are no AC vents in the boot/trunk area so there are limits to how long you can leave the dog in the car, particularly on very hot days.

    Man that must coast tesla a lot you charginy for free on them every week. Not what they envisioned when they did that deal. They figured you would only supercharge when on a trip. How many kwh do you use each week at the super charger and what ate the power rates there?

  • @dzerres
