  • ProCharger has released their 2021-2023 F150 5.0L system and Oz Tuning was thrilled to have been chosen to tune and test the very first kits.
From mild to wild, this kit is more than capable. We even pushed it with a 3.7" pulley just to see what it would do. Impressive!!! The results are in!
Mark Shearer at SP Machining Co was the second truck Oz Tuning tuned as shown in this video with this kit. Mike Tillman being the first truck, and also ProCharger's development truck. Mike's truck is featured on ProCharger's website for these kits. Both have been great with working with us and allowing us to get their trucks rolling and moving. Mark has been supporting and working with Oz for years and developed and manufacture the intake adapter plate kits needed for a 18+ GT or GT350 intake swap.
Both trucks are equipped with JD Solutions direct drop in fuel pumps capable of 1000whp, designed and manufactured by Jamie Decker which Oz helped to develop. JD pumps are trusted and dependable, and are made by hand using Ford OEM parts being thoroughly flow tested before shipping.
Thanks to ProCharger for entrusting us with testing a great product for more power in these new Gen4 F150's.

I’d be curious to see how the Vortech kit compares.
I love how Vortech mounted the head unit way down low and uses the shock air box… Rather than pulling hot air off the engine.

Interesting. I been looking at the ProCharger for my Gen1 Coyote truck. Ease of install, price and streetable gains. Plus i have a 18+ GT and Boss manifold on hand to swap if needed.
Any input on the Gen1 pro charger?

    Great video. Very informative.
On a lifted 2021 Supercrew with 4:56 gears running E-85 stock motor which blower would be the most fun to drive? The P1X or a Whipple 3.0 or other

David, how does the truck ride, feel, and pull with those gears?

I have ran the 4:56 with the 6 speed and now with the 10 speed. They pull very hard but if i had to do it over agin I would have went with Ford 4:10 gears with the plans of going forced induction. The gearing of the 10 speed is crazy in rear wheel drive I can break the 37s lose on takoff and into 2nd with a slight chirp going into 3rd with just a tune on e-85.@@armandoalvarado2710

Were oil pump gears/crank sprocket done on this truck? I’ve heard 21+ f150 5.0’s were belt driven and that there is no need

There are no OPGs on 21-23 coyote f150s. It's kevlar belt driven. This is the 4th gen coyote; similar to the '24 coyote mustangs.

What’s the recommended “safe” power levels for a gen 4?

    • @oztuned
      @oztuned  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

We are running E85 with a 3.5" pulley on our Whipple shop truck and that is more than plenty for a street truck. Around 700whp.
No one really knows yet the breaking point with these engines, but there are always risks when increasing power on a factory built motor and transmission. Then, how you treat the truck is a factor with reliability too.

I have a 2022 f150 supercrew and i always thought it was a gen 3 coyote. im thinking of trying vortech kit route which is more budget friendly and hoping to reach 700whp with triple pump fore level 2 id 1050x will i need a crank support at this power level? Or need anything else im missing thanks.@@oztuned

@@CarGuyKramif you are running an accessory drive spun vortech or procharger then a crank support isn't necessary. You aren't putting much additional stress on the crank pulley/snout. It's when you go to an independent drive that hangs another pulley off of the front of the crank you are putting extra shear stress on the crank snout because the load is now extended further outwards creating a leverage point that's going to make the pulleys and snout flex to the side applying the force.
