If you are having issues fitting back the engine cover, you'll have to adjust the pipe fitting that you attached to the catch can, point it downwards then attach the hose, that will make your engine cover fit.

      Or…. Skip the heat retention/cover 😅

I have a 2018 F150 2.7 Ecoboost and I'm having the same problem, not able to place back the engine cover. I've tried pointing the fitting downward, but if I do that then the hose will not reach. For know, I'm driving around without the engine cover to my eyes that's not a clean look. Any other ideas?

I’ve read reviews that hoses are too short, and engine cover won’t go back on? Anyone have this issue?

Not for me. I just installed one on my 2018 3.5 Ecoboost and there is plenty of hose.

Yeah I have a 2015 3.5 EB and that engine cover would not fit after installing this catch can. What I did was point the pipe fitting that you attached to the catch can downwards then you can attached the hose and that will work. This video was done without putting back the cover.

@@ChefJohnsonfoodandskillsI heard removing the cover is better for heat distribution rather then trapping it

Looks like customer put Teflon tape incorrectly. Not a plumber but I thought you supposed to put tape with direction of thread

Correct, and for good measure if it’s folded over like his was in the beginning I would start over and lay it flat not bunched up. Don’t just wrap it around it. I’ve done a fair bit of plumbing and while yes this will most likely prevent leaks it could affect how long with vibrations etc, I’d have it flat, take your time, it’s important part of anything with water/oil/gas/pressure

@@dlandis03yea if the manufacturer has a certain spot the threads are supposed to line up at and you have to crank that last one as hard as he did to get it to line up. Take it off and use one less teflon wrap to start. I agree with ya
