I always wondered how the hell Vert and Alec got picked as drivers when they're so young and inexperienced. My headcanon is they're extremely talented, 1 in a billion racing drivers. Maybe Alec's dad also works for the Silencerz alongside Major Wheeler. What if Vert is a genetically modified, designer baby built for racing to face the inevitable doom that is the Acceleron's creations.
@@chinnymisc Those 2 replies make sense but at the same time, Major Wheeler is a high ranking military official, maybe he's too busy and was working with Tezla behind the scenes, I feel he and Tezla are co-workers or associates, and expected all of it including the Deora II to appear in his house and was only pretending not to know when he got in Vert's Deora for a drive. I mean he only talked to his son about everything at the very end in Ultimate Race, he was hiding stuff.
People often forget that Dresden is a World Race leader too. After Kurt was unmasked and "disqualified," Dresden was appointed leader of the Street Breed team. There is even a deleted scene about it in the DvD which honestly should have been in the movie.
I think Tesla recruited those 3 first to avoid Kurt Wylde from knowing about the realms too early, since Tesla didn't trust him. If he recruited any of the Teku or Metal Maniacs, Kurt would see that those drivers disappeared and question why.
I've Got a theory about an extra World Race Driver that becamed a Silencer. And that's Bart "Shrimp" Scampi. Road-Rocket's driver. Since every racer has a bad luck with their own element, my guess that Shrimp lost himself at the Blizzard Realm. Then, with Road-Rocket destroyed by the Drones, Major Wheeler took him to the Silencerz's HQ along with the others. And now, probably the driver of Carbide is Shrimp. 'cause both cars are Formula cars. Carbide is similar to a F1. While Road-Rocket is similar to a Formula Indy. If this theory was confirmed, Tezla only called 6 drivers: Alec Wood, Lani Tam, Dan Dresden, Bart Scampi, Banjee Castillo and Brian Kadeem.
Seeing this reminds me of my idea for a pre-Ignition story that I might have mentioned in these comments before. Basically showing the three Realms we didn't see (Fog, Monument, Warped), the first Swamp Realm opening, and what happened to the other drivers. Most of the events are obvious, I did add a main villain for the heroes to beat in the form of an elite Drone squad (making use of the cars that weren't in the movie but on the cards). But yeah, it covers the first race in the Fog Realm, then Dan Dresden being lost in the Monument Realm (only be saved by the Silencers secretly) as well as why Gelorum has a different arm than in World Race (Banjee's car uses the saw to cut her car in half and it gets the first robot arm she has). After that, Alec Wood and Kadeem are too injuried due to the Monument realm to race when the Swamp Realm opens. This forces Banjee to go in alone, and he's saved by Dan but has to leave his car in the swamp's waters as they EDR out. Finally, all three parties head to the Warped Realm, where Banjee and Dan have to rescue Alec and defeat the elite drone squad, while Kadeem tries to win (but obviously he doesn't). It ends as Alec is rescued and joins up with the other two after being filled in, forcing Tezla to get the other drivers.
Great video as always man! I absolutely LOVE how the storyline which serves the time gap between World Race and Acceleracers is so naturally organic that literally any amount of time could of passed between the two series. Whether it be two years or ten years for the characters, it all still makes sense. Personally, I think Tesla chose to risk the lives of the other drivers first for all of your reasons stated, as well as the fact that Kurt and Vert most likely distanced themselves from Tesla on purpose after Tesla ghosted them. Kurt definitely had his issues with Tesla, but I also just assumed since they both were involved with essentially street racing gangs, they were more occupied and harder to find in terms of availability when in comparison to the other drivers, and maybe even had more legal issues under their belt, hints why Tesla ghosted them from supplying them with nitrox. The only stretch is as far as Alec goes, cuz he and Lani would be the only drivers with any sort of prize money from the World Race, and as far as motive goes I find little to understand why Alec would care to race. Lani would see the stakes and want to help, but if Lani had a closer friendship with Alec than maybe she could twist his arm but as we saw in the world race Alec was not tempted to shortcut success, so I see even less reason for him to be a risk taker if he already had been a champion….Maybe Alec was that shoulder to cry on after her relationship with Taro?
Dan Dresden, i think drives the Covelight. It has the same ability with his world race car it can detect paths like he shown from the ice realm in world race he use the path finding ability in junkyard realm on acceleracers using the Covelight.
I believe that Banjee wouldn’t stay with the Silencerz for very long. The are a government funded faction and Banjee is a rebel. “Rules were made to be broken.” Unlike Dan and Alec, Banjee is the most likely to defect from the Silencerz and work along side one of the two street racing factions. Most likely the Metal Maniac’s do to their own rebellious nature as well as their cars aesthetics and choice in modifications.
This video kinda led me down a rabbit hole of questions for some reason. First, does the opening scene of ignition take place before or after Tesla loses his first batch of drivers? Theres evidence in both directions seeing as Kadeem is nowhere to be seen, implying he was recruited later. But also Tezla's injuries still seem recent in the movie (although not so recent as to keep his black eye). For me it could go either way, Tezla going it alone at first due to his hubris and then hiring other drivers out of necessity, or doing it as a last ditch effort after losing his drivers. Though considering Kadeem, id probably say the first option. Second idea, it's interesting that Tezla invented the EDR before we see the teams win any accelechargers. Maybe it's more stolen silencerz tech but he still had to implement it into his and Kadeem's car at least. This could mean that the original set of drivers won an accelecharger but then lost it in the realms, though Tezla AND Lani seem very unfamiliar with the accelechargers when Nolo wins his, if i remember right Kurt even has to point out that the Drones' cars have powers and Tezla is surprised. But in Speed of Silence it's stated he only fitted the cars with EDR's because the drivers started taking accelechargers into the realms. But if he didn't invent them to bring back accelechargers, then why? And what changed where he was hesitant to give it to the new drivers? My theory is that he implemented the EDR system because Lani was a driver at the time, and he didn't want her to get hurt. I'm not sure if I fully subscribe to the theory that she's his daughter, but there's something going on there. Character-wise, we don't know why she stopped driving seemingly out of nowhere, so I think she started driving in the realms with the first batch of drivers, but something traumatic happened that made her want to stop (or made Tezla stop her from driving since he's like that). It's also worth noting that none of this first batch ever got to use their EDRs, as Lani and Gig are surprised it worked. (Or if you ignore that, no one's ever come back while their car was moving, since they didnt know how that worked. And that's not airtight either since Lani would've been inside the realm at the time and wouldn't have seen anyone coming out). Hell, maybe Tezla only put a working EDR in Lani's car because there were no accelechargers at play, that'd explain why Kadeem's didn't work. (Sorry for this absolute wall of text lmao)
Can you do a theory of what realm opened first? I think swamp because it reopen meaning the first time none of members of the teams won and the drones won't just leave accelechargers if the drones were destroyed so they probably didn't had accelechargers that time because swamp opened first or they didn't use the accelechargers when they entered the realm
This would be the missing Ark that would’ve been made before the final movie…..this would include the drivers entering and getting loss up until Kadeem meeting the team Teku and Metal maniacs at the old headquarters.
I saw in the acceleracers comics 5 that alec got lost in the warped realm and i watched one of the acceleracers fan videos that dan dresden got lost in the fog realm i wanna see how banjee got lost in the swamp realm
Maybe tesla choose them for an experiment since he didn’t know what to expect of the realms, leaving the big guns (vert, taro, and Kurt) for later if things gone bad.
Well as they say racing is a 1/4 the car 1/4 the team 1/4 the driver and 1/4 the luck and yeah it may seem like alec is sorta the out of place driver if you was to pay attention you would understand how it happened he has the skill and vehicle to get the job done
