PDK is great when you want to drive the car hard. My only complaint with the GT4 that I got to take for a few laps on the track was that it made things *too easy*. It wasn't my car so I wasn't pushing it past 80%, but I felt like the car was almost doing more than I was. If I was buying for a daily/occasional rack car, the Spyder might be it as well. If it was for pure track use, it just didn't do it for me.
In your experience with the spyder and the cayman gts 4.0, which one gives the better engine/exhaust sound? Cayman has the engine in the cabin but in the spyder you have the top down.
Great video! Thanks. One comment: the seats in this car are actually not the full bucket seats, but the collapsible bucket seats. was the car delivered with these? afaik they were not an option any more on the 982...but could be country specific?
These are the only bucket seats you can buy in Sweden. And they are fixed, you can only slide them backwards or forwards. Maybe it’s different in other countries
These are the sports buckets and although not on the online configurator, you can specify them at the dealer when you have a build slot. These are the best of both worlds, still very snug, but slightly less upright and more support. By far the best seat for a combination of track and extended road trips.
They are quite different, these two cars. But both are pretty awesome! I still prefer the M2. It has a more explosive motor because it's turbocharged and for me, that's a lot of fun.
Why PDK?? Unless redlines are different, I rather Stick it. I have my Model 3 Performance for 0-60 thanks. This is more about experience and LOUD! Instead of PDK maybe a Titanium Exhaust :D
Why manual?! Same kind of question and the answer usually comes down to preference. I drove both manual and PDK and I just prefer this engine linked to the PDK gearbox
I dont really get the Spyder......If you wanted a track car , buy the GT4. If a road focused drop head, you have the Boxster 4.0 GTS which is cheaper and comes with an electronic roof.
It's an alternative to those who want a roofless GT car. And judging by the numbers, here in Sweden at least, there is a market for these cars. The Boxster GTS is cheaper but if you spec one at the same level as the Spyder, the difference is quite small. Plus, the Spyder, I THINK, looks much better than the Boxster and it is more special. And it also holds its value better in the long run. Again, judging by used car prices in Sweden.

The 4.0 GTS is the second best second car..lol...great work!
Well done! Your spec with GB and the Bordeaux top will be great and the humor over the PDK is perfect.
I built the exact same SPYDER blue & red with PDK. I thought I was the only person to like this combo. Good video, thanks!!!
well said, i have same car PDK ..you wouldn't go wrong.
This just might be the best second car..period
Nice review and funny! Bought a 2021 today with 2000 miles on it, fantastic car!
Great video from someone who clearly gets it. It's a Spyder, you put the roof down!
Great video. Owned a Cayman but still haven't driven a GT car yet. Definitely on my bucket list. Love the simplicity of these cars.
incredible video and even more incredile car my friend! truly a beautiful machine. keep up the great work.

Love it and thanks for yr review. Prefer manual for fun and in Miami Blue omg best looking car by far at the moment.
Thank you for your review.

It's the Spyder. But it's also because the Spyder has a louder exhaust compared to the 4.0 models.
You can’t compare that Spyder to GTS
I love this model, LOVE IT.
Great video I think you have done a great job recording the sound this car makes. I love how this car has won the world record for the timed slalom.
Great video! Thanks.

@@TunedIntoCars you are right! i guess i mixed up with the gt4 buckt seats.

Cool show! I saw your latest with the M2 Competition. Which one is more fun to drive?

@@TunedIntoCars agreed, everyone's preference and main car will be different. Thanks for sharing your experience.
“2nd gear is all you need on a B-road”, for me this is the only problem with this car and the GTS. I mean you want to use that super shifter...
Yep. I've addressed this issue in my GTS review
Yes, I enjoyed your video. You are in Sweden? Thanks for making a video in English. Kinda Cute.

@@TunedIntoCars Have to agree with you there, the styling is great. Im not so keen on that fiddly roof though.
Yeah, imagine being on the highway and it starts raining! Free shower :))
@@TunedIntoCars free shower sounds nice Haha
You prolly “don’t really get” the 911 Speedster either, do you? $299K for a roofless GT3 with the crazy roof.
Dude... PDK? Really?
It shouldn't even be allowed :-\
Niiiice!
