I have had a similar problem with an XJ before. I had spark and everything, but the cylinder was still dead. What turned out to be the problem was corrosion in one pin in the CDI, so cleared that up and it ran perfectly after
I have a 3D printer, I'll give a shot and pint one out. I'll DM you if I get a good result, on deployment with nothing better to do. Lol, I just got it too. Love the videos!
I dont remember if you flushed out the brake systems already or not, but if not, it would be a good idea to do that before riding it. Moisture that collects in the calipers can cause the brakes to pressure up and lock the wheel up. Bad things happen immediately after.
@@randypullman1155 If you're replying to @Larryfox...then, you're talking out of your ass. YEP. On a motorcycle. And if the fluid return hole gets blocked in the master cylinder your front brake will straight lock up too.
You would usually expect around 14.5v max at the battery when charging correctly. 15 plus is too much. It will boil the battery eventually. Sounds like voltage regulator is on the way out/gone. Check your battery and frame earth as well. Poor earth can make starting difficult and give symptoms of flat battery.
Ahaha sorry to do it to you. Its all I had time to edit for today. I'll post the next video on Monday with a 0-60 test at full boost and it's fast! (Sub 5 seconds).
Been watching since the Vintage Americana and I gotta say it's so fun to see you're still at it with the bike projects! Keep it up Mason!

Not CDI. It's TCI.
Great video! I can't wait to see this thing running in the day light.
Thanks!! I've already filmed 2 more videos about this bike in the daylight! I'll upload the next one on Monday.
Nice work 👏🏻
Thanks babe 😘

Can someone post the link? I have 3 seca as im curious and like to check out the 3D printer file
This is such e nice bike!! Very pleased that you're bringing it back to life. Have fun and be carefull!
I think you should keep it and ride it for the summer! Nice find, nice video!
Had the same proble change the regulator first it wil damage the battery in just 2 rides
on foam filters i put them in a plastic sandwich bag and put the oil on them less messy
if you have low voltage in a battery during or after running, you might want to consider servicing the built in alternator.

Nope, not on a motorcycle
first hand experience. It does happen.@@randypullman1155

Replace all 4 plugs with new ones.
Check the charging volt at higher rpm, 15 at idle is a bit high
We did 100mph +. Two-up on an XJ650. Easy !!!
22v would be my guess
Look at the temp gauge...wonky!

Do we really need a teaser? Seriously, it's just mean. For Eg, the popping is easily remedied by simply having the carbs...
What I can say is the dilemma between a new part being returned and an old part fable becoming boss always hooks me...js

Some piano ponzi scheme music would be WAY over the top. Cheers, GG!

I used to always swap sparkplug and win, but jfc it not free.
