Pixel also has Class 3 Facial Recognition, and that is why all the Banking and Payment Apps can be Authenticated with BOTH the Face ID, and the UltraSonic Fingerprint Reader.
That, in my opinion, makes the Pixel superior that even the iPhone, and, of course, other Smartphone brands w.r.t. Security.
Because until the Pixel 8, only the iPhones used Face ID Authentication for Banking and Payment Apps.

The real question is, would you have a phone with a higher refresh rate screen but weaker processor, or rather have a phone with a lower refresh rate but stronger processor? (Processor is especially important for people who want to hold on to their device for a long time)
Then there are the Fingerprint vs FaceID and the Android vs iOS arguments.
The general consumer won’t feel any difference with the cameras anyway.
That AI would take a long time to release in most iPhones is definitely a bummer though.

What's the point in comparing the AI features if only one has them available, how on earth is it fair that the Pixel gets a point on that lol

One thing I can’t understand is why Android manufacturers tend to make their phones look like the iPhone.

  • @aljosacebokli
    @aljosacebokli วันที่ผ่านมา +1

I dont understand, iphone has the same identical design for the 4th generation. It still has the giant blob in the centre top of the screen and apple has not made any effort to actually improve the design vs. google's improvement over the generations of pixel releases. The regular iphone doesn't even have material advantage as it's aluminium as opposed to titanium on the pros, which would at least offer some advantage.
The camera setup on regular iphones this year is not even as original as it was before, it more resembles some of the midrange chinese phones on the market from honor with the two bulging eyes.
Please explain your infatuation with 4th gen identical apple design?

Had a pixel for 2 years. The best thing is the software, clean and uselful all around. But what trumps it is the hardware. Pixels just heat for everyday tasks, the battery degrades faster in the long run as a result, the call reception is poor. It seems that Google needs to move back to Snapdragon direly.

Why not compare apples to apples? The Samsung S24 vs. Pixel 9 comparison makes more sense than the iPhone 16 vs. Pixel 9 comparison. No one is thinking about whether to buy an Android or an iPhone. People have already made up their minds about which OS to pick. Those who want an iPhone will buy one regardless of how much better the Android counterpart is.

If iPhone is on the left all the time, why pit the score on the right? I was so confused.
Thanks for the review, amazing as always!
I’m a Pixel fun, owning 3a and 6a and now own an iPhone 16.
Why I bought the iPhone instead of Pixel 9 or 9 Pro:
    - QC issues with Pixels
    - Tensor G4 didn’t give me confidence that in 3-4 years wouldn’t start giving me issues
    - No UWB on the Pixel 9
    - My girlfriend has an iPhone and I have a MacBook Air
    - My Pixel Watch 2 that I adore had 2 important bugs: alarm syncing issues (the phone rings, or the watch, or neither, you never know), and GPS issues where it wouldn’t record despite “GPS connected” message.
    - Had issues with my 6a signal. With my 3a the processor couldn’t keep up and took ages to process photos. Pixel 9 improved in those aspects but not sure is enough
    - Google doesn’t take Chromebook seriously.
I bought an iPhone 16 and Apple Watch Series 10.
Prefer the simplicity and UX of Android and Pixel Watch.
But I’m loving the Apple Watch Series 10 42mm, so thin and light (38g vs 56g with the bands of Series 10 vs PW2 respectively), and the rings motivate me a lot, very well design.
I would go back to Pixel in a heartbeat but wouldn’t go back to Pixel Watch until they fix and improve GPS, alarms and other reliability issues (my older workouts disappeared from the Fit it app).

I actually didn’t feel much difference comparing my Pixel 6a with my mum’s Motorola but it’s probably cause I shortened Pixel animations in half, feeling snappier.
iOS is a “gentle” OS with slow animations, and nice sounds and haptics, but I notice the 60hz even more.
Having said that, if I’m just using the iPhone, I’m fine with it. I want to limit the time i use my phone anyways.

True, I'm disappointed that so many reviewers are in Google's back pocket hyping up 120Hz on Pixel when we've had 144Hz smartphones for over 4 years. 120Hz is not an accomplishment.

@@jevonsims900 I don't think it's solely about 120hz or higher . Google doesn't consider it a Pro feature(Quite frankly it should be standard by now) but Apple keeps it exclusive to their pro phones, which is just bad for the consumer.

Apple Ai will come late BUT it will be 100% private and secure. Whereas Google Gemini is neither private nor secure. Google sees everything you ask it to do and tracks everything you do on your device, on the web and your location in real life
