5 individuals of different backgrounds who have become family, who are all human.
I told you the song was relevant to current events and that it would hit you in the feels. The history of the song gives us a bit of a look into where we came from, how much things have gotten better and how far we still have to go, and hope we can get there. The original writer and artist for this song John Lennon of the Beatles. He was also assassinated, with the lyrics of this song given as one of the reasons. And now, it's become an anthem of the unity of the human race. We still have so far to to go, but look where we came from. In the paraphrased words of MLK jr, "the arc of the universe is long, but it bends toward justice." We've moved it before, we just have to do it again.

Concerning the signs- each member wrote a characteristic of themselves, and passed it to one who shares it too. Yes, Mitch and Scott both belong to the LGBTQ community. Scott has a bf, Mitch is more..quiet about his relationships. Scott passes on “man” to Avi, Avi passes on “American”, Kevin passes on “Christian” to Kirstie. They also flip the signs to show other traits; but the word that is passed is what is shared between each of the two members.

Yes! We are all human and are deserving of respect from others! I like your connection of hue (color) and man. Probably not linguistically accurate (I am not an expert!) but I like it anyways. It’s a nice way to think about our species.
watch down on kev's channel and he sings the whole way through, he's acc amazing. i think avi (if memory serves me right) taught him to sing mostly along w the others of course (i mean he could sing but the others really helped him like nail it u know), he took loads of lessons
Kevin and Avi were roommates as Scott and Mitch were. Only Kirstie got her own place when they were starting out and broke. Yes Avi taught Kevin to sing. Oh and Avi is 5'11" so think of Kevin and Scott as being giants at 6'4" instead of Avi being short.

This was John Lennon's song. Coming from someone who loved this song before anyone in PTX was even born, I'll tell you that they did John Lennon proud. Sad to say that these words weren't listened to in John's days nor in the year that PTX released this. PTX released this in March of 2017 and that summer was the unite the right rally. Far right extremists walked through Charlotte chanting "Jews will not replace us" carrying torches and Trump said that there were good people among them. 💔 Someday I hope people will listen to this song and it not being sadness from the knowledge that our world is still not equal.
Normally, we see that face when people hear Mitch, not Kevin. :D And, seriously, that last line is probably one of the most musically difficult things they do. Not just exactly the same specific pitch, but at the exact same millisecond, fusing it into a single voice.

After watching several of these standing-around videos, I thought Avi was so short! But then I learned that Scott is like 6'3" or 6'4", and so there's a bit of optical illusion happening there.
I love their cover but in my opinion the original is better😊
