I always agree with the Popspring 2016 Rec! It's the very best version of "Can't Sleep Love" and I love the song, "Water." The video includes "Evolution of Michael Jackson" which you just saw, plus three originals, in a live concert performance. I also love "Love Again," "Run to You," "Coffee in Bed" and "Be My Eyes." All their originals are so good! I wish there were videos for all of them so reactors could experience, "Never Gonna Cry Again," "Exit Signs," "Ref," and so many others!

At 9:30 when you start talking about other female voice types that would add to the group's sound: Kirsty (the woman) ranges from lower alto (Rather Be) up into the soprano range (Seasons of Love). Mitch (high voiced guy, counter-tenor range) actually covers most, if not all, of a soprano's range. PTX **has** two female voice ranges to work into their mix. In each song, they pick the voice that best portrays each moment, and frequently switch singers on the main melody of the song. A great example is their arrangement of Can You Feel the Love Tonight from the Lion King.

It includes this Michael Jackson evolution (performed live on stage) as well as 3 original songs: Cracked, Can't Sleep Love, and Water. They actually did a whole hour long set there, but these are the 4 that are on YT from the MTV recording with professional-level video/audio.
I never get tired of this one... besides knowing all the songs, I love the bare bones production and one-take format. The two major singing types of females are soprano (high) and alto (low). Mezzo soprano (mezzo means "half") splits the difference between the two, which is what Kirstin is. But Mitch (far left with the high voice) is a countertenor, and basically has the same range as a female mezzo soprano, just in a male voice. And in more recent years, Kirstin's voice has matured and mellowed somewhat, enough that Scott sometimes introduces her as "our alto-soprano" - which is a completely made-up term, but does a good job of describing Kirstin's range these days.

The "Evolution of Beyonce" video was so much better... the transitions felt like they really put in time, like a DJ mixed it up... although they can really sing, this one seemed like it was thrown together really fast... it wasn't like a DJ mixed it... it was just like ...stop one song and start another"... rather than having it feel seamless...
The most joyful of their originals is "Sing" that features their fans as well as them.
