What about a video of the car running with it on?

I just had to break that white clip. If you push one clip up far enough it folds in half.

How many turns is best for the right setting on the valve? No real answers out there. Don’t want the spring to loose or to tight.

personally I always set dual ports up on their hardest setting (turn clockwise till it stops) I do this so that it primarily operates in the recirculating function and only vents to atmosphere for the pssh sound at higher boost levels (saves it going off constantly when driving through town etc)

On the port what could the hole that the blank plug is screwed into be used for?

Turbosmart part number RM-0203-1076. It wont show up in online searches but that is a Turbosmart part number so call them and should be able to sort. (this is assuming you're in Australia,... unsure if USA and EU use the same sub section part numbers as Turbosmart HQ does)

Are all the other parts necessary when fitting or can you just swap old for the new , mine is standard with no modifications, I would appreciate your advise thanks

yes they are mate. If you plumb up the Turbosmart unit without bypassing the factory solenoid it itl release at the slightest of throttle releases

@@OEMDeniedPerformance if the new valve is a recirculating valve, wouldn't leaving it hooked up to the solenoid have the exact same functionality as intended from factory? Yes it'll recirc as you lift off the throttle but it would only be an issue if you're venting to atmosphere as this is how it came from the factory.

@@sweetbabycheeses734 yes correct. Turbosmart removed the solenoid from the equation mostly due to the dual port version, if left in place, the valve releases at the tiniest of throttle lifts which most find quite annoying. You can hear it with the plumb back too mind you if you aren't running the factory air filter.

@@OEMDeniedPerformance this is exactly what I was looking for, first I put the bov in but didn't do the second part and was hoping it would fix how the bov goes off when lightly hitting the throttle

There is a reason that ford include an ECU control of the valve. Bypassing the solenoid removes the ability of the ECU to bleed boost very quickly in the event of for instance, LSPI or overboost. You would be removing a safety feature designed to protect your engine. The valve will operate fine as a direct swap without the modified plumbing.
PS Dodd is a great surname!!

Is this the same process for the ST mk3 please???

Instead of cutting the pcv pipe with a blade use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the pipe and it pops up easily
Saves you losing your fingers 😉
