R6 Fork Seals

This bike has been sitting for a few years. The owner wanted to get it back up and running. He did some stuff himself, but left the forks/ brakes/ tires to me. I posted a video the other day where I changed the rear tire. Today I’m showing a bit of the forks.

Hey bro, i am having issues with myR1, its coolant always gets busted after a week or or two, in just 3 months it got busted 8 times, i have tried different mechanics but either of them dont understand what the problem actually is.
I just you can suggest something 😉

I did it on my 2007 zx10r and the rebound rod on top lost some clicks .
It goes without clicks then starts klicking then agen goes without clicks. (When turning it fully form one side to other )
Any idea what could it be

I need the forks done on my 500r, dealership I got it from did no maintenance and sold it to me with leaking forks and no brakes and rotars. It was my 1st bike and I completely overlooked all of that

hey bro have you ever ran into a issue on a gixxer where you do the fork seals and for no reason they start leaking again right away, I did mine like 3 times and dont wheelie etc and soon as i hit a few bumps they start seeping again. The forks look clean no rust etc. Its very irritating. Any ideas? oem seals btw.

@@motomedicyyc seals are the right way, I cant remember the oil height, pretty sure i looked at the manual and watched a video, it was a year+ ago. its 03 gsxr 1k

Great work! Can I ask you something: the usd forks on my Cbr600rr 2005 are leaking crazy. I wanna do the fork seal by myself but I can’t find informations about the „air“ measurement or how much oil I have to fill in. Maybe you can help me out? 🙌🏽

I looked it up it should be 362 ML SAE 10W per side.

That front tires on backwards just to let you know, the way it's mounted it will suck water towards the middle as you drive instead of forcing it out to the sides

Tire direction is based on the rotational arrows, not tread pattern

Let you in on a little secret, with these tyres, they're directional . So you follow the arrows put in by the manufacturer , not how you want the pattern to look/point. Same goes for car tyres~

Tread pattern does not indicate the direction of travel. There’s directional arrows on the side of the tire

Im jealous of you mfs cause I just gave up on a gsxr750 motor cause I cant find any way to get the clutch bolt off cause it just free spins, its broken down to the bones of it and now if anyone needs parts lmk cause im selling everything, frame and all
