You know, they should just acknowledge that someone on a modern bike is easily able to leave them for dust, so even trying to catch them at those speeds puts the public and them in unnecessary, futile danger.
There was a show years ago where they played the funniest things heard over a police scanner. A policeman running radar radioed dispatch that he just clocked a car at 205 mile an hour. They asked if he was in pursuit .... Long silence. With what.
Which one? The guy that ran from the cops and t-boned a car in the driver’s door killing the driver? The other drunk with two dudes that hit a curb at a T intersection launching the passenger over 200’ and the driver through and the driver through the top layer of a 7’ tall barbed wire fence decapating him? The guy (in a car) I chased that went the wrong way in a construction zone headlong into a semi? Few cops will chase a bike because your going to lose, get the plate and a description and go on your way. The problem is they still tend to keep running and wreck hurting others. Glorifying them running is a bad thing.
@@soonerfrac4611 I personally always pulled over the first safe space. A lot of times I only got a warning by being polite and making his job easy. Even had a speeding ticket at over 96mph reduced to 75. because of it. 96 is going to jail with the car impounded, 75 is a ticket. At 2 oclock in the morning and I hadn't seen another car for over a half hour. When I went around the turn he was running radar. When his lights came on I downshifted and pulled in front of him. Once he knew I wasn't a threat or going to be a smartass his demeanor changed.
Absolutely the right response. Both officers and drivers should be respectful and it will usually work out best for all parties involved. Unless you act like an A-hole the cops will often lower the speed to keep you from losing your license and vehicle. But there’s times, such as this, where the book should be thrown at the driver and the cops should be reprimanded for continuing the pursuit in such a tight residential neighborhood. And videos like these both profit from and promote the reckless behavior of the bike rider.
Recently, a motorcycle cop traveling the opposite direction saw me do an improper pass on a 2 lane road. I saw him doing a u-turn in my mirror as I was speeding away so I pulled over further up ahead, shut off the bike, removed my helmet and gloves, and waited for him to catch up. He thanked me for not running after realizing I was on a much faster racing bike. We ended up mostly talking about bikes, and I left with a warning.
That will NEVER happen in the UK trust me. Despite the constant shittalk about usa cops, UK cops are way more stuck up and act like assholes. You mess up, thats it no chance of getting out of it. When i started riding, on the first day my bike was delivered i got pulled over because the ANPR camera system flagged me up for a nearby police car as uninsured, eventough i was insured but the MID system that stores insurance data updates in 48 hours. So they pull me over, i stop, cop jumps out runs up on me and grabs my key almost knocking me over acting like i was gonna run with the engine off. Then they would hold me for 30 mins because despite me giving them my licence and insurance, they didnt believe i was insured eventough the certificate stated that the insurance was signed that day... They tried calling the insurer (at 6pm) ofc noone picked up the phone and then after fuckin around for a while more they let me go and told me to sort it out...

I rode a 2007 Hayabusa for a while. The fastest I got it up to was 125 mph and that was too fast for me. You just don't have enough time to react at those speeds in traffic at least I didn't. The guy in the video is on another level of riding than I was ever at. I sold it after almost eating the back of a semi-truck.
You went waaaaay overkill for 125mph, given that the baby-Suzuki sportbike from that time (the SV-650) will comfortably do 125, without going too far down the road. Hayabusa is 140 in the 1/4 mile. Also, I took my sv650 to 133ish, topped out (claimed 140 on the speedo). Just gotta find the right spots.
You should've gotten a 600 inline 4 or a 650/400 twin. Hayabusa or 1000cc is just too much If you can't do more than 125mph. @@hpt08 The thing that works is to stay low at high speed to reduce drag. Then when you brake. Pop up and increase drag. At 100 MPH you can feel the wind trying to peel you off the bike. So make sure you do those pull ups 2-3 times a week. Yes you do need grip strength to hold on, work the throttle, clutch and brake at the same time. I used to cruise PCH at 120 to 140 MPH in the morning on my way to Oxnard. Stopping from 140 to zero when the light just changed yellow is a bit challenging but do able. thething that noone mentions is that the traffic departments all have thier specialist interceptor, which is a highly tuned motorcycle that they use to keep up with the rider then detain them when they inevitably pull over for fuel, the problem with the BMW's is theyre immensly fuel efficient even the superbike version so sometimes takes a while, i used to ride a K100 in 2001 doing motorcycle courier, and i had the same 3 sports bikes pass me 5 times between watford and the M62 junction on the M6, all because i only refueled twice and they had to refuel 4 or 5 times the middle time i met them i had a brew after refuelling and they talked to me as i got back to the bike asking how i was infront of them when they kept passing me, i just replied, BMW fuel economy, plus im not killing my fuel economy by going breakneck speeds, i then told them dropping thier speed to 2/3 or 1/2 would double thier fuel economy and mean they were not wasting 10 minutes every hour refuelling, they were going to scotland and thought that was the only way to get there
I've no need for it, but I almost want to buy a bike like this as an investment. Don't ride it (much) just put it in storage for 25 years. It's just a matter of time before nanny nations ban them.
That's not a bad idea, especially if it's a rarer bike, like an M1000RR or a Ducati 1199 Superleggera. 25+ years from now, I think you'd make a lot of money selling it. But I'm no expert.
I agree it’s unnecessarily risky to run for the rider (usually). But still can’t believe the police are allowed to pursue it in today’s overly sensitive world given the slim chances of a good outcome for anyone involved.
oinks get butt hert uk plod can be tools they dont tell us the real numbers unless some one dies in usa yer get shot at in uk there bad but not armed in most cases
Correct it is generally safer to the public when police do not pursue a motorcycle. A motorcycle weighs less than a police car and doesn't cause as much damage or bodily injury compared to that of a 1 ton police car at the same speed. Also, insurance rates are higher in jurisdictions that do not have a "no-chase" policy.
Uk police will follow and monitor a fleeing motorbike rider, up until control tells them to end the pursuit. And in recent years to stop moped thieves (which usually happens in 30mph zones in the city) they have been getting permission from control to ram the mopeds to stop them getting away. Yes a pursuit of a motorbike is risky but if they just stopped and accepted the consequences of what they did and be decent people, they would not put themselves and others at risk.

It’s good to see even people in the UK can’t seem to use passing lanes effectively. People cruising in the passing lane should have a government mandated helmet.

Well said and agree with you 100%. As a motorcycle rider I see bad riders & riding everyday and as soon as I hear an illegal loud/race exhaust I know the chances a bad rider will be near any second are quite high. ☹
I remember watching a video years back about a group of bikers who would go out in the middle of the night with the sole intention of getting around the M25 as quickly as possible. They said it was always quite easy to get away from the police and, that the only thing that would deter them or cause them to split up was if/when the police helicopter went up.
Do you remember the link?
Lol good luck doing that now, cameras everywhere on the M25 and traffic for days. Even in the middle of night 🤣

I have a good friend that would call the cops on himself just to run from them. He was just 16 or so and he was on a dirt bike. Lol they never got him. He must have done it about 20 times or so in a 2 year period. 😆🤣😂
At some point if you are on a high speed chase and haven’t caught the suspect or even lost sight of them you gotta call it off for the safety of everyone else.

@@joshuapinkley8562 the critique of the criminal activity is obvious. The response to said activity is the concern here.
You have to do good technical riding on a smaller cc for at least 3 seasons before promoting yourself.

Even an experienced riders day can turn bad in a heart beat, plus there are a lot of riders who actually believe they are experienced until they find out they are not. I have seen a lot of them, even watched them get zipped up in a bag and hauled away.
thething that noone mentions is that the traffic departments all have thier specialist interceptor, which is a highly tuned motorcycle that they use to keep up with the rider then detain them when they inevitably pull over for fuel, the problem with the BMW's is theyre immensly fuel efficient even the superbike version so sometimes takes a while, i used to ride a K100 in 2001 doing motorcycle courier, and i had the same 3 sports bikes pass me 5 times between watford and the M62 junction on the M6, all because i only refueled twice and they had to refuel 4 or 5 times the middle time i met them i had a brew after refuelling and they talked to me as i got back to the bike asking how i was infront of them when they kept passing me, i just replied, BMW fuel economy, plus im not killing my fuel economy by going breakneck speeds, i then told them dropping thier speed to 2/3 or 1/2 would double thier fuel economy and mean they were not wasting 10 minutes every hour refuelling, they were going to scotland and thought that was the only way to get there
I've no need for it, but I almost want to buy a bike like this as an investment. Don't ride it (much) just put it in storage for 25 years. It's just a matter of time before nanny nations ban them.

Correct it is generally safer to the public when police do not pursue a motorcycle. Also, insurance rates are higher in jurisdictions that do not have a "no-chase" policy.
They gave up 'cos he didn't crash...they tried for a bit, but obviously wasn't going to happen...
Uk police will follow and monitor a fleeing motorbike rider, up until control tells them to end the pursuit.

Yes a pursuit of a motorbike is risky but if they just stopped and accepted the consequences of what they did and be decent people, they would not put themselves and others at risk.

It also states this in the video description 🤦🏽♂️
@@P.M_M Damn lol, you exposing them.
Nice video. Here in Belgium if you drive 40 km/h above the speedlimit your driving licence gets revoked and automatically you need to go to court and pay a huge fine. Then you first need to go to a Shrink and according to his medical evaluation you can start again following driving classes and take tests in order to get your licence back. It's just not worth it. Many people need their car/bike for their work. They take this matter very seriously.
Needed to be done, when I was young and hitchhiked a lot the driving in Belgium was considerably worse than any of the neighbouring countries.
In California if you're not driving over the speed limit you're driving to slow.
That is not true, your license get revoked when u do 2x the speed limit, which can be 60 kph in a 30 kph zone, or 240 on a highway. I’ve had many fines of driving 50+kph too fast on roads of 70 & 100 and while expensive, fines of 300+ euros, they never summoned me to court or took my license not even temporarily
Unless You are from a foreign country then just act stupid and you can get away with anything.
Bikers always tell us to be careful and respect motorcycles on the road and we should, but almost every person on a motorcycle that I see is riding like an asshole and not respecting traffic rules.
"We lost the sight" yeah, like 30 seconds ago when he went like 160
ha ha
I love that the response to this is for the police to drive dangerous speeds through pedestrian roads... The hypocrisy is astounding. The dude wasn't even riding dangerously at the start. The police instigated this entire thing
So?
@@EagleScoutmano so, either stolen bike, stolen car, or bike prepped for some illegal activities; probably all of the above.
