Your TechSpec grips changed my riding style and comfort a couple years back. Excellent video! I’m sharing it with my 600 brethren. Only different mod I did besides all this was ProGrip sponge gel clipon grips. This content was so good I’m spending money on the store! There isn’t a new rider that I haven’t told about your channel to. Lots of them already know it though. YamFamJam, ok my bad
@@davidcovey3001 We (VOOM) are currently not in California and that would be why you had trouble getting a quote. We are in the process of expanding to additional states and hope to be in California as soon as possible.
I love yammies dedication and persistent to tell people not to street ride, daily, or start on a 600. This is exactly why I started on, street ride, and daily my R6
It is like he assumes we got the money to go out and buy a new bike when the current one is outgrown. Started on a 600rr and rode it for 3 yrs as a daily and now have a 1000rr and ill daily that one too.
Not only I'm riding 600RR as daily bike, I uses it as my touring bike as well, going over 700km per day. As a road cyclist, nothing can be more uncomfortable than cycling 6 to 7 hours on tiny saddle. My 600RR feels like limo ride in contrast.
@@pksvkpk4801lol i have a 91 fzr600 and i love it im pretty tall so the length is comfortable for me i also have an 89 fzr but it has a 700cc motor in it so i dont think its the actual motor pretty sure the guy that owned it before me stuffed a r7 motor in there im currently rebuilding that one
Honestly, I’ve dailied a 2006 cbr600rr, and now I daily a 2021 cbr1000rr, and the difference is insane. I make the same amount of torque my 600 did at 3k rpm, so the whole lack of torque thing is completely remedied by a liter bike. The cbr is one of the torquier in-line four liter bikes, too, so that helps. I don’t ever have any problems with mine.
That sounds like me too 😝😂😂 37, rides a 2014 6r, have put close to 30k on it and I'm thinking to stick to it few more years until my finances set and jump into a tourer bike type 🤝🤝
600CC class bikes are "just right" for most people. Fast enough but forgiving if you get a little stupid with the throttle, and the excellent handling and braking is really a safety feature that allows you to make sudden corrections to avoid idiots and road pirates.
@@Slickon1wheel my wife rides an MT-07. It's fine. It's no more comfortable to me compared to my R6 though. I've gotten used to mine so like I said, it's not as bad as Yam was saying.
I feel the same, with my 636 I have so much unnecessary power in town that I probably never come close to using it all. If I were on a 1000 that would just be even worse lol.
Any bike naked that can hit 130 is still a fun bike anywhere especially with a good windshield . Long distance on the interstate I’d much rather be on the naked ergonomics. The high rpm horse power is great for sure if you are one that needs to run though I’ll give you that for sure.
I agree. Living a rural place, not getting on the highway just isn’t an option. Unless I wanna just cruise Main Street. But to actually go anywhere I have to get on a highway. And BARELY keeping speed doesn’t work on roads with semis and farm equipment.
Yea like to me it's makes perfect sense to daily a 600 because at low rpm it can just cruise nicely at a low speed and say if you hit a duel carriage way or something you've got that torque to keep up with traffic and then some
I have daily rode my bone stock (except tires) 2008 GSXR 600 for the last 2 years. I absolutely love it. I think after you build the muscles and your body adapts to the wear and tear caused by the ridding position, it's not that bad. I take as many, or less breaks than my Harley buddies while ridding for extended periods.
First bike at 20 years old was an 08 r6. Still have here to this day 8 years later. Daily rode it for 3 years too. One of the best experiences of my life.
Im so torn between cbr600 and R6. Ive done so much looking into it and still just cannot decide. Please. Tell me some bad stuff about R6 or CBR600, there's so much good with both, what's the bads
36 year old Honda CBR600RR 2005 owner here. Owned it for 7 years. Agree with all your points, but I love it. Now my daughter is growing up and I have some free time, I'm looking to acquire a Aprilia Tuono V4 in addition.
I bought a ninja 650 that came with raised handlebars for my first bike and it was pretty nice, made it easy for driving in town but could still easily lay down to open it up
I geared my ZX-6R down for more usable torque and I find it's an awesome street bike. I used to not get out of 3rd or 4th gear with stock gearing, now i can bang through the gears without having to do 150 and it pulls harder. But yeah it makes you want to go fast, so if it's gridlock or stop sign to stop sign riding its not that great, . but for those of us who can't afford a garage full of bikes and have a need for speed it's worth dailying :)
After having a zx10 and zx6 I definitely prefer the 600 class. I don’t like having a ton of power I never use. Unless I’m trying to push 180 which is never, a zx6 will do just about everything else.
I have both too and I personally like the higher pitch sound of the zx6r more, its like a mosquito. But the zx10r is better for longer trips and more comfortable on the highway.
@@aryanram02 1000sx is a sport Touring bike compared to the ZX10R which is a superbike. 1000sx should be way more comfortable for day to day use. I just ride my bike to the gym or work every once in a while so the leaning position doesn't really bother me. They both use the same engine just tuned a little bit differently I'm pretty sure so it should still be pretty fast
and people on more developed countries (USA and some european countries) will shit on you for not having a 200hp 1000cc first bike. Maybe because its easier to get big bikes? I have no idea.
How much did you pay for that exhaust? I’m about to upgrade the exhaust on my 2021 cbr1000rr, and every termignoni I’ve seen has been a full system, and $6k. 😂
Daily’d my 2018 636 for 3 years until it was stolen. 67k miles Loved every day of it and never added bags. Thought they looked nerdy. Just wore a small bag for my laptop and few other things. Had a few mods: - airbox mod - Custom Headers and mid pipe with Yoshimura R77 slip on - -1+2 gearing - GP shift - Phone Charger in rear compartment - deleted emissions system
The Zx6r is oddly comfortable for daily use. I didn't think I would get used to the seat position but now it's all I know and now that my core has gotten used to it, it's just as comfortable as any other bike tbh
@@aakaash2009 I’ve had mine for 10 years now. Originally I wanted a R6 or cbr600rr..couldn’t afford a gsxr..tried out the R6 nd looked at the cbr then I randomly ran into the zx6r like it was meant to be. Fit like a glove, looked great and been in love ever since.. do your research still.. I watched soo many videos and I went to a Motorsport dealer to feel them out.
@@bird2can348 thank you for that. Been thinking about it.. can't seem to find any pre-owned and the new 2022/23 models are pretty expensive here :/ The only drawback I keep hearing about is the ergo. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to daily. Every now andn then. And maybe track.
Watching this after I just upgraded to a 2019 636 from a 2021 Ninja 650. Wouldn't have it any other way. If I wanted to be comfortable on my rides I'd have bought a cruiser
I've said it before and ill say it again: Yammie, the little tips I've got from you since i started riding on the road, in regards to positioning, cornering, and generally being more in tune with your bike and the feel of it, have mad me a much, much better and safer rider. I was out today in the north of England absolutely ripping some roughish road twisties on my svart 401, and wouldn't be nearly as clean and controlled if i hadn't been watching your shit. cheers.
my cbr 600rr is pretty neat to ride, its comfortable, fast and nice to ride on the road, dont really bother me with any of what he said lol, daily 600rr is alot of fun.
Don't forget lowered foot pegs that get your knees out of a bind. So much more comfortable. And for anyone curious one tooth smaller on the front sprocket is equal to three teeth larger on the rear sprocket. Doing this has a great effect on the bike but also can cause chain link count issues which can put your wheel way far back to make the chain fit properly. This will add length to the wheel base and affect handling
Depends on the roads you use for your daily commute i guess. I have 5 corners and 2 highways at 5pm and 5am when the popo is on shift change so my commute averages 120 -140kph
@Juls My issue is with kangaroos, particularly when it hasn't rained for a while and they gather at the sides of the road early in the morning. Also dead ones in the middle of the road make life a little more exciting. I could change the visor I suppose but the venom helmet looks crap with a clear visor.
i ride a differnt route evey day coming home, sometimes it takes 3 hours sometimes 30 mins,,,, ive been on everyroad aorund the bay, truth be told prob every rode worth riding in Cali ,
Every youtuber ever: "you don't want a 600 they are so impractical and uncomfortable". Every youtuber every time they ride a 600 in a video: "WOOOOO god do I love the 600 class"
I ride my ducati Daily and you make a good point about the backpack. Bigger rear sprocket was a huge surprise and will for sure take that into account. Thanks for the tips.
I have daily rode my 03 R6 ever since I picked it up in 07. I’m getting older but still love the feeling I get every time I’m on it. Not a bolt on the bike I haven’t touched and I can’t imagine giving it up to some kid that wouldn’t appreciate it the way I do.
YN and this rhetoric actually got me out test riding other bikes last year. But all that did was remind me that although im 30 years old and it makes my back and knees hurt i still LOVE my zx6r! Nothing compares to a street bike in just pure precision, looks, sounds and thrills. Ive had street bikes since i started riding at 18, and that's all ill have for the foreseeable future. If i want slow and boring ill drive my truck with the sunroof open. Maybe ill get a Harley with my AARP subscription :)
I want to start on a zx-6r but everyone is telling me I shouldn't, if I used the 3rd traction control setting and low power mode do you think it's a decent starter?
@@contridictionv2195 if you've ever ridden anything like a dirt bike or something and you put it in low power with full traction control you'll probably be okay as long as you take it easy for a while. A 600 can be tame it's more about how easily it can be abused and you have to have the self control to take it easy which isn't easy lol. BUT if you've never ridden anything and haven't even learned to use a clutch yet, I'd get a used 400 or similar for a season and you can sell it for basically what you paid the next year
Understood. Going to buy an cbr600rr as an upgrade to my yzf r125 as my only bikes 🫡 And I won’t be using any gear outside of the cheapest textile stuff I could find to just pass the license test, just as you taught me Mr Yammie
When I was in my early 30's I had a Yamaha R5C that I customized with Dick's Cycle West Cafe racer gear, rear sets, clips on's, expansion chambers, plastic racing style tank. I lived in Severna Park MD and worked in downtown DC, about 45 miles away. I rode it to work every day. Here I am 40 plus years later and I still have not been able to straighten completely up!! The most uncomfortable motorcycle I have ever owned!!
I went the way you suggested Yammie and bought a 300cc. Sold that shit a month later and bought a 01 ZX6R and never looked back. 600CC bikes are great to daily.
I daily my ZX6R...but I also have a 125cc scooter and a ZX10, so I just pick what I feel like that day. That being said, it is setup for the track (finished prepping it last fall), so it will be my track bike this summer. And yes, summer, not spring, because we just received 20 inches of snow yesterday and I don't imagine anything will be open early this season. Edit: In my opinion, you can't say you 'daily' something until you bring a pizza home on the back of it. Hence why I can officially say I daily my 6 :)
@@QuickRipzz well the zx6 is the best 600, the zx10 is not the best 1000. Zx6 can push 170mph, if you think you need more then r1, s1000, or v4 are all killer too.
@@JRico831 while I understand what you are saying, keep in mind that best is extremely subjective unless you are only talkin about world superbike wins. As I mentioned above, the ZX10 is more comfortable to ride on the streets than an r1, cheaper than both the BMW and the Ducati, and is not as difficult to extract the performance out of as the panigale is. So in that case, what is best? For me then, it is the 10.
I love my Cbr600rr and I came from a Honda Grom of 8 months of riding and 1100 miles. 😊I love ‘‘em both..now have 300 miles on my Cbr on the second day ownership.
I've just got my second bike, a CBR 600 F4i, and honestly, I find it pretty hard to do longer rides. Yes I know it's not the RR, and it's supposed to be quite comfortable for a sportbike, but I'm pretty sure I gotta work on that core and leg muscles, cause they are sore as hell after a 3 - 4 hour ride. On the other hand, I'm relieved that knowing the correct riding technique has saved me from sore wrists and arms. For now, I resort to laying down on the tank when I feel tired, even if I'm just doing 35mph in a city :D
I ride my R6 everyday. Quick shifter, 2 teeth on the rear sprocket. New forks, fork seals, new tires. Power Commander, new clutch, clutch lever. Fresh coolant, and change your oil and filter alot. Coil packs and spark plugs every year. And I live in Colorado Denver. She's Been running 5 years strong.
My daily is a 350cc. It's a single cylinder, air cooled, weighing less than 200 kilo. Does it go fast? No. Going fast is easy. It's so light and nimble that it makes the other stuff easy. What remains is the joy of riding.
Crazy to see this channel still going, I used to watch him way back when I was a kid, around 25k followers. Glad you’re still at it and that you succeeded
Yea it's sad that his content has changed so much. I liked the moto vlogs on the dual sport alot and he just doesn't do that anymore, every video is planed instead of just being a goon and having fun
This is why I got a zx10r over a zx6r when I made the jump to a larger bike, I never wanted a liter bike until I rode the zx10r it's an amazing amazing amazing platform and feels incredible on the street. I changed the sprockets and brought the gearing ratio down just a bit and that made the 1st 2nd and 3rd gears a little shorter to make sense for the street seeing as the zx10r tops 1st gear at over 100mph 😆 anyone looking to get a 600 should definitely try out a liter bike especially if you get one with power modes. You can restrict it through that to operate like a 600 then work your way up. Keep safe everyone 💚💪
Bad, Bad advice for so many young riders starting out, Do "NOT" go and buy a 1000cc Super bike! Your probably under 25 yourself if I had to guess, with you giving such good advice and all..😂 Yeah get a 180-200HP 1000cc bike instead of a 120+HP 600cc bike, Which is still NOT a good beginner bike choice either and still very fast and can get you into plenty of trouble, even if your an experienced rider.. Do you really think most 18-21 year old novice riders would have the self control to keep the power mode set to "low" power, Hell after like a week or so, and perhaps some might hold out for a month or so before becoming over confident in their abilities and thus likely becoming reckless, even on 600cc super sport, much less a 1000cc 200HP machine.. Hell when I bought my first 600cc(637cc) CBR at the age of 20, it was set up as a track bike with a 2.2mm overbore Wiseco piston kit and cams, Well I drove about 500 miles to buy it and rode it back and within 2 hours I was on the highway doing like 160.. Again I had ridden dirt bikes and smaller street bikes since I was about 7 years old, but this was my first truly fast bike.. Point is I was 20 and within just a couple hours of owning the bike I was doing 160MPH, like so many at that age you think your almost invincible in a way and can be careless.. Lets not even get into the cost of buying a new or newish 1000cc bike that actually comes with power modes, anti Wheelie modes and traction control, then the freaking outrageous insurance cost for those bikes in a state that requires it.. Even a 600cc super sport is not a good starter bike, and if one chooses to buy one anyways, you should buy a used one, as there will be a good chance it's going to be laid down at some point, so better to spend like $3-4k on a used 600, than $12k on a new one and then end up laying it down, or worse yet total it..
My daily is a 2008 Yammie FZ6 Faser, and it's perfect for me! I used to spend a lot of time in the saddle riding Police Bikes in my earlier years, from XJ750's to FJ1200's, as well as a stretch on Harley's. By the time all the equipment was on them, they were always quite heavy to maneuver. After an injury enforced break I returned to riding - initially on a little 125cc Honda which was woefully underpowered to pull my 100+Kg's around. There was a hill on my daily ride and it was pretty much herniating @70Km/h up it so I knew I needed to get something bigger. One day I had a flat battery and had to bump-start it to go to work. I dropped into the dealer to replace the battery and test to make sure there was no other problems and they'd just traded in the FZ6. It was high mileage (120,000KM's) but was the right combination of more grunt, and reasonable weight with a not too insane riding position. I've had it now for about 6 years and I'd be hard pushed to find a better commuter. I've semi-retired now and just drive School Bus's so I have a 15Km trip (each way) 4x a day to the depot. The only 2 mods have been a lock box for the helmet/work gear and a front rear dashcam in case some idiot ever hits me. I think your point about the cafe riding position on a lot of 600's makes a lot of sense. I've done charity rides of 200+Km's and not suffered like I would if it had clip-on's. But as a budget ride a 600 is hard to beat. It has enough grunt to accelerate when needed to avoid vehicles, or shake off tailgaters with minimal effort. And is not as skittish on wet roads like the 125 was if there's gusty winds and rain. If there is a downside is that I only have a short 100Km zone in my commute where I can open the throttle up without risking speeding fines.
A daily rider should have a comfortable seat, and it should have luggage space options. I’m 6’-2” and I ride a Kawasaki Versys 650. That’s what I recommend.
What's really interesting about this video is that you can see on the graph above the progress bar that tons of people are replaying part of the ad. That means voom actually has a product that interests people. lol
I'm not really a big fan of sporty bikes and big engines but I always dreamt of getting a 600. I am a daily rider and for now my dual sport and naked bikes ( both are 250cc) I'm very pleased with their daily usefulness. And even when the day when I'll get that big 600 I very much think I'll leave it for weekends and interstate night runs every now and then.
I daily my 675 Daytona for the past 5 years and she’s got 84,000 miles I check valves every 8,000 miles and still running like day one.and I feel comfortable on over hour commute every morning to work.
I definitely preferred my XSR700 for around town and general below 70mph riding. Fast off the line and torque feels great and took effort to break speed limits, easier to throw around for evasive maneuvers riding it like a supermoto. But it's a boring backroad high speed twisties and highway bike. If I solely used the bike for commuting to work it'd be perfect in that aspect and most of us don't have room for multiple bikes with the insane cost of living right now and add on cost of maintenance/tires they get expensive quick if you rack on miles.
I daily a 2012 R6 with an extended swing arm, GP shifter and a backpack. The only thing i agree with is using your legs to hug the tank. That does make a huge difference but i have a blast on that thing. Its great to cruise on lower rpms and a blast at higher rpms. No regrets
Reality... they are awesome as a daily... as long as your back and knees are still young enough to endure the ergonomics. If your a new rider and can only get 1 bike there is no better option than a 600 when it comes to fun per dollar.
Im 42 years old and ive daily 600s for the past 5 years, no mods plus backpack. But then again i live in Australia where the ZX10 is the most common allrounder for dirt, street and commute.
I’ve had several 600’s. Just bought another. But next time… I think it’s time for liter bike due to fact I live in city and need that low end torque. Also… Changing gears sucks!
I daily an 03 r6. I know im sacrificing some comfort and low down tq but ive always loved the looks and sounds of this generation r6 and r1. Ive had a same gen r1 in the past and frankly although it was an amazing bike, i just can't justify needing the bigger motor. I am constantly working towards more comfort with my r6, but at the end of the day i really love the bike for nostalgic reasons.
Idk, I feel like you should just ride whatever you like. I feel like the examples you gave are trivial and differs from person to person. I like drag racing my gxsr750. I feel like it’s pretty torque off the line and it accelerates quicker than everything except for well modded 600s or 1000s and plaids. But I daily my bike, I’ve done 30k miles in about 1.5 years and honestly I don’t get sore on the bike, the power is always fun, I’m rarely going less than 60, maybe because I live near 5 major highways (central New Jersey). So personally, I think you should ride whatever. I think nakeds look ugly and I’m down to get a Harley just they are so expensive, beyond tires and someone damaging my bike while trying to steal it, I’ve only really had 1 electrical issue. A wire snapped near the fuel pump so my bike wasn’t turning on. They found the wire, fixed it up for like 300 bucks (that was mostly just labor of them finding the broken wire). So that’s really my only repair that I had to do. Overall, I think this guy is talking hella soft and there’s really no issue with dailying a sport bike. 600, 750 or 1000.
I was thinkin the same .. I have a cbr600rr and I prefer riding that be it on the track in town or on the highway.. I enjoy it just as much regardless and it’s not un comfortable
I daily a shadow 600 literally everyday. Summer, fall, winter, i can go 85-90, or cruise around at low speeds intown. Have taken it over rolling hills to and from the valley to the bay area, and have done long distance flat road travel. Have no issues passing cars on the freeway and can definitely get out of my own way. And thats with a 4 speed. I truly do not have an issue with it.
Im confused. While I get the idea of having an overpowered bike for street use, does this apply to 650 twins? Or only the racer style? (Has the Royal Enfield Int 650 in mind)
The twins are great street bikes. Ninja 650, R7, etc (sport, sport touring)..., the 4cyl supersports are a bit edgy for the street for the average guy. Not that they are unmanageable but that they have a more aggressive riding position (uncomfortable on the street) and the power is in the wrong place for street riding.
Yammie has a vendetta out against 600s, seriously every video he bashes on them. With any amount of research people KNOW that super sports are fast and aggressive and uncomfortable. I’ve always wanted an r6 growing up, so when I was old enough I got one as my first bike. And I’m 5’4! It was intimidating at first mostly because of my height. Speed isn’t so much of an issue if you have throttle control and mental control over wanting to go fast. Yeah it’s not as comfortable as a more upright bike, yeah it was a little more difficult to learn on than a 300. But I don’t regret a thing. It sounded great, looked great, and I grew into the bike and was fully comfortable after a couple riding seasonings. I dailyed it to work and went for cruises for fun on the weekends. If you’re a new rider, get the bike you want. Trust me. Just do the research and know what to the getting into and control yourself. It will pay off when you can keep the same bike for years and never get tired of it after a few months. Any new driver could get a Ferrari as their first car and never take it above 65. It’s all about self control same with bikes.
@@ΑλεξανδροςΑμανατιδης-ι7ε the smaller ones are much more like a naked bike in body position. Not aggressive serious race bikes stock. 600 on up was made with racing first in mind. The gearing and can really ride it for all it’s worth and too me I like to reach close to a bikes limits. I raced so Depending on conditions I’d take a 600 over a 1000 on track. Motocross I take a 250 over 450 every time for most conditions it’s just more fun to use gears and wring a bike out. I love naked bikes, sumo/dual sport /adventure daily though.
What horrible advice, men and weman in their 50's and 60's and older still love and ride their sport bikes daily, this guy makes it sound as if you outgrow a 600 as you get older, lies.....😅😢😂
I daily a 95 600F3, not the most comfortable but its cheap on insurance and its good on gas. I think the decision to daily any size bike really falls back on the love of riding the bike. Whether that means 12-15 mins down the road to and from work for myself or lane splitting through traffic in a more urban environment doing what you love out weighs the cons. I see your point Yammie that the style and build of these bikes screams aggressive go fast but you work with what you got.
I've had my 600RR for 2 years, put 7k miles on it. I can ride for hours and not get tired, probably a combination of technique and tolerance, never going back to a cruiser style, I'll probably die on it or sell it when I'm 40
My 05 GSX-Rs power band is pretty nice between 4-8k rpms. No problem getting out of sticky situations quickly. Also a very comfortable bike depending on what pants you wear. I rode my GSXR to work almost everyday for 2 months and it was incredible, not to mention you can skip traffic jams
Title should read 600cc race replicas to be fair. 64 yr old from the UK not ridden since 2013 due to back injury, but Honda 600 Hornet -Yammie 600 Fazer-Aprilia 650 Pegaso and Yammie 600 Diversion were my last five bikes. I used them on weekend trips, bike meets holidays and most importantly, the daily commute. Perfect for the job, any job. Don`t recognise anything you say mainly because none of my 600`s had an R after the number, but that was through self preservation and a need to keep my license.
I daily'd a 600RR for many years and agree with pretty much everything here, although I never changed the sprocket or bars so can't comment on that except to agree the stock gearing feels too high for the street. Peak power in 1st gear is illegal speed territory in most places. I also had a Street Triple, which was a superior road bike in every way until it was totalled by a car while parked. Still, the way a 600 builds power is an intoxicating rush you don't get with more "sensible" machines. It's best enjoyed as a weekend ride IMO. Your comments on posture are spot on. Keeping your legs clamped and core firm, being light on the bars is key to riding these things in a way that feels natural.
I do daily my 650R. But living Stockholm central - that means I have access to to the entire city in almost 15 mins per ride. Another nice thing about living here too - is that there are many long scenic twisty roads the further out you ride from the city, that's where I do the long and fast rides - but on the weekends.
Kinda found a solution.. im dailying an old zx6.. It's not so ruff as the new ones. it's not too fast, not especially uncomfortable.. and yet still looks sexy as hell.
Few weeks ago i got mu first bike . Gsx-r 600 2004 with 40km on it. So far i love every second of it. No backpain like ppl say. Throttle hand can get littlebit crampy but just because i forget to keep it easy.
Not everyone has a garage, especially in countries where people in cities live mostly in apartment blocks. But I generally agree that a sports bike is not ideal for city driving in terms of comfort. Nothing beats a 125cc automatic scooter for that.
I love my CBR650R. It's my daily, I don't even have a car lol. This model is factory tuned for street riding not the track. It looks like a sport bike but has a slightly more upright position, and smoother power delivery instead of snappy power bands. I used to love my old FZ1 for the same reasons, sporty looking but tuned for the street.

Same w my sv650s
Not only I'm riding 600RR as daily bike, I uses it as my touring bike as well, going over 700km per day.
As a road cyclist, nothing can be more uncomfortable than cycling 6 to 7 hours on tiny saddle. My 600RR feels like limo ride in contrast.
I feel the same. All motorcycles are so comfortable compared to bicycles.
Yep my old 97FZR felt like a limo after riding my 05 RR :) big ol banana seat on the fzr
Same here with the Ninja, compare to both my MTB and road bicycle. Also, core muscle that I develop on the bicycle, proves itself on the motorcycle.
Exactly. Riding a bicycle is like sitting on a wooden horse. On the contrary, riding a supersport feels like sitting on a chair.

@@will5257 Ya... for the street... 🙂
I love yams dedication to telling us to not daily a 600. Exactly the reason I got myself a GSXR 600 to ride even in the most unnecessary of times 😃

600CC class bikes are "just right" for most people. Fast enough but forgiving if you get a little stupid with the throttle, and the excellent handling and braking is really a safety feature that allows you to make sudden corrections to avoid idiots and road pirates.

Same. 2002 here. 34,700 and still weekend warrior.
For city a smaller bike is good but your gonna want that power when you hit the freeways. 600s are really just a perfect all around bike.
Make no sense

Nothing wrong with it. This video is a joke

@@contridictionv2195 if you've ever ridden anything like a dirt bike or something and you put it in low power with full traction control you'll probably be okay as long as you take it easy for a while. Yea it's sad that his content has changed so much. I liked the moto vlogs on the dual sport alot and he just doesn't do that anymore, every video is planed instead of just being a goon and having fun
You’re still a kid lol
Yes get a bike with a bunch of power that I'll never use.
Bad, Bad advice for so many young riders starting out, Do "NOT" go and buy a 1000cc Super bike! Your probably under 25 yourself if I had to guess, with you giving such good advice and all..😂
Yeah get a 180-200HP 1000cc bike instead of a 120+HP 600cc bike, Which is still NOT a good beginner bike choice either and still very fast and can get you into plenty of trouble, even if your an experienced rider..
Can you make a video on what is a good dailey Bike? Especially for a 6'2" person like me.
A 600 supersport.
A daily rider should have a comfortable seat, and it should have luggage space options. I’m 6’-2” and I ride a Kawasaki Versys 650. That’s what I recommend.

Pretty ironic that one of, if not the most daily driven bike styles is constantly advised against being daily driven
I drive a CBR600 as a daily and don't have any remarkable mods on, and it drives like a dream and is really comfortable on long and short drives.
No regrets
They need the "revs to get going" due to the gearing not the lack if torque. 👍
Listening to this while perched on my 04 R6, just got my endorsement a momth ago. Repect the Machine! Safe riding all.
Well they look amazing, I know that's why I would get one

Reality... they are awesome as a daily... as long as your back and knees are still young enough to endure the ergonomics.

Update.
I have a 2022 gxsr1000r and daily it. 16k miles in 6 months.
Your crazy 600 is a great mid level for being in traffic
@Will thanks for the clarification!
@@RAF238thCdr84 ooh ok. That makes more sense. Thanks!
Yes, 600-700cc are not really good for cityride or dailydrive because it’s a bit OP for the streets. 300-400cc are the better alternatives
Its not about CCS. Just dont ride a supersport for a daily no matter the displacement.
Lol 😂 why ?? Just say y’all are squids 😂 or fat 😂😂
@@carsondees7175what does being a squid or being fat have to do with anything? a squid would want to get a 1000cc ffs
Honda CB300R Neo Cafe Racer is well adequate for commuting, especially filtering city traffic.
Cbr600rr 14k street miles. Rode daily spring, summer, & fall. She’s parked outside right now while I’m at work 😎
i mean im boutta buy a 1000 for mainly daily rides and weekend rides
I started riding on an R6 and eventually got me to the track, nature of the beast.
😄
I dunno Yammie - I traded in my 300 for a 900 as my daily rider this season. I'll let you know how it turns out. 🙂
I did commute on my 750. In winter. Wasn't a big deal, just 15 minutes commute. No mods were required
Is it just me or is this guy like the karen of bikers 🤔
Bought to go buy a 600cc just for my daily commute now. Thanks Yammie
Reading the title:
Oh shut up yammie
I've had my 600RR for 2 years, put 7k miles on it. I can ride for hours and not get tired, probably a combination of technique and tolerance, never going back to a cruiser style, I'll probably die on it or sell it when I'm 40
My 05 GSX-Rs power band is pretty nice between 4-8k rpms. No problem getting out of sticky situations quickly. Also a very comfortable bike depending on what pants you wear. I rode my GSXR to work almost everyday for 2 months and it was incredible, not to mention you can skip traffic jams
I daily-d my R6 for years. Loved every second.
I just bought a ZZR600...to use on the twisty roads.👍
classic. Guy with a few track days under his belt gatekeeping
daily rode a 83 nighthawk from 2013-2017, no maintenance and it was great
Not everyone has a garage, especially in countries where people in cities live mostly in apartment blocks.
Daily '21 CB300R. Want a SCL500 for touring/light off-road camping. 600cc would probably be next for track and then a dual sport for shenanigans
Haha, friend of mine had a 2002 GSX-R 750 and he rode it work as often as he could and usually went for a bit of a tour on his way home!!
I’ve got a Harley… I would definitely daily this 600. It’s quick but not your getting your license suspended quick
I can't wait for the snow to go here in Canada, mostly because I purchased a 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 400. I stopped being a squid in the late 90's
The 400 is underrated. Seeet streer bikes and fast on rhe track.
