I thought about Powder, but I woulda had to remove all the internals prior, and that didn’t sound appealing to me. Maybe my laziness was a good thing after all.
Doing a build exactly like this (with a variation on parts ofc) and this video really helped with making sure I had everything! Gonna have a video of it on my channel in the next few weeks and it’s going to be black/red/carbon🙌🔥

Bro this is so cool and amazing that you built your own surron FROM SCRATCH! This really encourages to build my own surron because I have been saving up for years and thought about building it but I never knew how, is there anyway we can communicate and you can help me build my dream?
Can you make a video or maybe a series of what parts do what and what you do and don’t need I have been trying to figure out what all the stuff does I just don’t know what’s true and false and can’t find enough of the same answers
Hey man, just coming back to the video and realised I dont have Pivot spacers. You say to contact "simon Poirier" for those parts but don't know where to contact him. Any info on how I can get in touch with him? Thanks!
Do you have any like old Surron parts because im building a Surron from the litteral ground up im wielding a frame ect but im not really at the spot right now to afford parts to buy the electronics and I was wondering if u could send me some parts? ❤❤❤
so this is exactly where im at, but minus 2 bikes and spare parts to start with, main question is did you get the frame from surronshop? and whats the rough estimate on total price at the end minus the parts laying around. at the moment, i think i can get a frame, controller and motor if bought separate for around 2500, then i have the rest to work out. loved the video though and am gonna check out the other builds now
Frame was $1300 from Builtebikes.com I didn’t spend much. I already had the controller, fox 40, battery, motor, swingarm, hardware, and I bought a Ohlins rear for $500 which went on my other build and put the EXT on this bike. Also got a great deal on Dominions $400. Hardest part was finding specific spacers. Lmk if you have any other questions. I’m here to help.
@@gr1tzy around $3200. That includes $400 dominion brakes and a bunch of prickly parts. I already had a stock motor, bac8000, subframe, chi battery, fork, shock, & swingarm.
Great👍 Probably make the volume of your voice over a tad bit louder in post production so we can hear you clearly? Other than that, very good break down and demonstration. Enjoy your "new" Surron motard
It is super comfy. It’s one I got off eBay couple years ago. It’s wider than stock. I then got a custom cover where they put another layer of foam under. I don’t see it on eBay anymore.
@DanhRichardson I would love to build a surron from scratch but I don't have a garage like yours at all and I've never done anything like it so I'd be afraid it would take me a solid year to figure out what all the parts are and build it. Plus I'd want to film it so I feel like I should just buy a stock surron and upgrade it and than one day build a used stock surron from all the parts
That’s exactly what I ended up doing with all my extra parts. I figured I could just build a whole new bike. You’ll eventually have that same “problem” after building up your first Ron.
This is sick, I’m thinking about doing one of these completely from the ground up and I’m wondering what the pricing is for all of the parts, and also if you had any issues with the parts, thanks 🙏
I already most of the major parts on hand from prior builds. I believe I spent $3200 once I decided to do the build. The hard to find parts are the ones I stated in the video and showed where I bought them. No real issues
Very very nice . Can't wait to find the time. I think I'll do a kart when I go to the KO set up
Thanks for linking this to me on FB.
That’s dedication bro!!
Another Bomb build 🔥 Love the video.
Crazy build. 🔥
This is so sick! Also painting your fox 40 lowers was probably a good call, apparently powdercoating magnesium is super problematic. Nice build!

dude that diy headset tool is genius
Great job on the video! Thanks for making it.
whered you get that seat? it looks great
I need one of those swing arm spacers but I can’t find the guy that you listed to connect.
You should join the surron groups on fB. I tried to find you but couldn’t. Once you join, I can connect you to him.

Great build 👏 ,and very cool video
Great Build. Is there a list of all parts someone would need for a build like this?
I have a 12 pg list but I can’t post it here. If you go to segronuniverse, they have a majority of stock parts.

You’d have to find him through the fB Surron groups. He doesn’t have a store.
Looks nice

Hi what is the size of the tires and rim? Thx
Rim is 16” x 2.5
Tire 16” x 3.0
What was the total cost?
Why only grease the top bearing of the steering head bearings, not the bottom one?
I actually caught that mistake a little after recording so I did grease the bottom. Nice catch. I was wondering if someone would see that
@@DanhRichardson Thanks! I don't know enough about head bearings, so I figured that might be some special technique!
the build is sick, how much did it cost for everything
Cool video. I'd have opted for some coats of clear on some of that paint. How has it held up on the frame and wheels?
I did clear it with 2k. Paint has held up well. Of coarse it’s not resistant to chips like powder is.
very nice
how much did this build end up costing you in the end? not counting your extra parts
Around $3200
Would go watch a few videos about how to grease a bearing! They need a bit more grease or they’ll make all the noises
