Thanks for sharing. I’ve seen a lot of comments about price & buy a Stark Varg; however, this is a frame up build, for a specific purpose. It’s the world that we live in. Most manufacturers build to keep costs low, but offer a solid product, within a certain price range. Which normally translates into good, but inferior parts. These guys worked hard on this & essentially showcased the pinnacle of what can be done/achieved with a vision, products & skill. That should be applauded, because high demand breeds competition. Competition will lead to more availability & lower costs. The light bee, ultra bee, Stark…, etc., are all fantastic & compete in different categories, but require $$$ to get them where you want them. No house, car, bike will come perfect out of the box, if they do/did, those are a different demographic of people = perfectionist/non-modder, more expensive. I digress, different strokes for different folks, but appreciate others grind/hustle/hard work. Believe me, it’s blessing to have these guys.
Confused. Why not buy a ultra bee, makes no sense for someone ( other than a content creator wanting to promote & sell parts) to cobble together a build that would cost much more than a stark with 80 hp out the box.
Sick build, but how many of us can expect such manufacturer support? I agree that at the end of the day, it’s just a pimped-out Surron. For that money, there are so many real emotos out there that are better out of the box.
@@ThatSurronGuy Yes, I get it, and am sure if people had unlimited budgets most would custom-build, but this build at best guestimate is north of $12,000 but i think they should be clear what is actually a collaboration part and costs if bought and what the cost of the build would be for Joe public. Love watching the guys videos, but transparency is needed regarding parts, cost and alternatives. Hope they take it as constructive criticism, not hating on what is a great bike build.
Some people would rather build it than buy it. I bought a MX4 and the only stock parts left are the frame and the swingarm. Next bike I am building from the ground up.
After years of ebiking, scootering and onewheeling I finally purchased a Sting R today after moving to Nevada to rip some of these trails! Thank you for some inspiration for parts! Will definitely be picking up some parts from you guys shortly. Hope to catch a ride with you guys some day!

I don’t think they sell Eride frames but I’m not sure. You could build a talaria from the frame up with a lot of these parts but some are specific for the Surron frame and don’t work in the talaria.
So why take apart your mx4? Why not build an ultra bee? I remember you guys saying the surron has a weaker frame and flexes easier than the talaria? Just tying to understand the thought processes to build that frame up.
yeah not sure why they would do that. gearbox alone would sell me for the mx4. chain drive is gonna stretch so much. Frame on the mx4 is way stronger as well.
Surron swing arm is weaker but the main frame is about the same, we have an upgraded swing arm on this so its just as strong, also the reason we are trying a surron is to do a max power build, there aren't any talaria motors that can go over 25kw, our Surron can do 35kw so its something to try. I still love the talaria just as much and in my opinion the only reason to get a surron is if your going 100 in on the build. Trust me when I say this bike is so much faster than anything we had before. To fast

Dope! I was considering the option of using an Ultra Bee frame instead of Light Bee. The only thing that bothers me, is that the bike won't be road registered.
In this case, we were going for absolute max performance/power numbers, and with the Surron you are able to get about 35kw where on a Talaria the highest power you can get is about 24kw which is still insanely fast but that's the basic answer.

I have a question. I'm torn between xXx or the Sting R. I am short... I'm 5'3" inseam is 29. I would be doing more offroad than street riding and would change out the wheels and tires on both bikes. Probably go with the 16/19 for the sting and maybe the same on the xXx. (I like the dirt bike look.) Wouldn't go crazy modding the controller and such right off the bat. Which 1 would you recommend? I do have dirt bike experience and I do have my motorcycle license.
Absolutely not. The XLB60 Ebmx motor is so much more cable. The KO is rated to 35kw but no one has really been able to push it higher than 25kw. This motor goes all the way past 35

I've been bugging Charged Cycle Works about the boost adapter for Ferro forks but they don't have any new info. I have Warp9 wheels and Ferro forks, I'd love to try the 240 rotors but I can't get any info about the boost adapter. Any thoughts?

This is fantastic. Great build, great look. I know this sounds undoubtedly terrible, but the only thing that looks a little cheesy is the grey TB decal on the swing arm. It’s just…grey. Haha but seriously, awesome.

After getting my first emoto/moto ever a couple months ago the XXX that I thought I was going to street ride way more I found out I love off-road riding way more and want a bike more suited for it. I just don’t know what I want now a surron ground up build, an MX4 or a eride pro ss all will be modded.

I’m not sure the max but I’m running 2.3mm and they are working well but I wouldn’t go any thicker because there isn’t a huge gap and it’s tougher to get them to not rub.

We know but it requires using the whole extra wire harness and wiring in something custom which we just didn’t want to do in this case, just bought a $15 dc converter instead…

@@kolopierthat’s not heavy at all lol. Pushing 40+hp and the torque. The weight of the cells. Beefier swingarm. Rubber. Thicker spokes. Bigger brake rotors, calipers, even the levers. The titanium helps shave a few grams here or there. Which is enough to be worthwhile. Hell, even the seat is heavier than stock. Bigger motor. Primary chain drive is heavier than stock belt. Plus 180lb rider and additional gear. I’m surprised it’s that light honestly. But the motor/battery/controller specs are well suited for the bike’s weight and adult rider and then some. I would love to get a day in on it!!
There is even key delete options make it a push button or card NFC. But I been waiting to see someone do a "USB" key. Super easy to do I know a guy that can make custom USB ignition systems for anything. Think about the options like the iron Man arc USB that lights up when plugged in makes your bike look like it's powered bye the Arc. Or even the tesseract. Or Keep it simple a duck USB.

They are always supposed to be on the inside man. If you set it up right it will never rub on the spokes. If you route it on the outside and tip your bike over or crash it will rip your whole brake line off.

if you take good care of it I'd expect it to last 5+ years. also if anything goes wrong or you break something you can purchase any replacements online

Usually a couple feet deep isn’t a problem. I just wouldn’t let it sit in the water very long.

where can I get that battery lid latch hook lock ? For the ebmx battery the stock one is too short

Wouldnt a KO f spec give you a bit more power because of the higher amps?
Absolutely not. The XLB60 Ebmx motor is so much more cable. The KO is rated to 35kw but no one has really been able to push it higher than 25kw. This motor goes all the way past 35

Aren't domino throttles easy to break due to the sensor in them?
Ours is the Dual Hall version not the potentiometer which is a whole different sensing system that works amazing.

Great battery. Although the don’t do the race version in the 57ah but it is still very capable.

Channel with store, we started as a channel and have been doing that for years and just started a store to go along with it.

you gotta be careful with that front brake line on the inside of the fork make sure that doesnt hit the spokes or it will burst.

@@mct8888 @mct8888 Well I did a similar frame-up build, sans the EXT suspension and with a cheaper KO motor, but with a better (80v) battery, and at retail it was over $16k. Considering the frame, subframe, and brackets are about $1200 together (I used factory swingarm), you can calculate the total.

if you take good care of it I'd expect it to last 5+ years. also if anything goes wrong or you break something you can purchase any replacements online
