My friend had an old celerio and it’s been amazing. Always remember when I was a teen (a very long time ago!) seeing a Ford Escort Ghia at £6666 and thought how dear it was! My new i20 n-line cost more than my house!
Good video with clear common sense information, the one thing I’d like to see manufacturers do is give up on the useless mild hybrid setups, just go the full Hogg and do full self charging hybrids, mild is next to completely useless unless pulling away, and then you carry the setup around with you eating into the mpg, at least with the self charging side of the hybrid systems you get more benefit from taking them around on the journey with you.
The S Cross has come a long way since it was released as the Vitaras unsure sibling, now being pitched as the bigger suv of the two, much to the distain of the Vitara fans.
For me, every time I’ve driven an S cross or vitara I’ve left feeling somewhat glad of the drive but, disappointed at the quality, surely it couldn’t make the cars so much more expensive to use a little more sound proofing, it would make for a far more enjoyable experience behind the wheel and give the whole package a feeling of higher quality.

Did your car have the blind spot symbol on the mirrors but not actually have the system? This is whats happened to mine. I got told the mirrors are generic to all and they only now fit system on the full hybrid models? Earlier mild hyrbids do have the system but they stopped due to chip shortage but kept the mirrors the same?

Nice video - I ordered one of these in January and it’s roughly an 8-10 month wait (can’t wait!). Just one question - are you sure the mirrors are electronic folding? When I asked about this the guy at the dealer said no they don’t have that and I’ve ordered the top spec. Thanks
Yes they do come with folding mirrors.... (manual) they don't fold in when locking.
@@melondog82 ah great thanks! So is it just a button near the mirror controls? Can’t find any videos that show it.
@@duncanstewart6982 5:19 you can see the button which folds the mirrors in under the knob which controls the mirrors....also heated...they turn on with heated rear screen button. 👍🏻

Only problem is - you cant get a full hybrid - 8+ month delivery
I have one of these as a loan car petrol version, I’m not impressed with this at all. No self lock doors, when existing the car door doesn’t unlock. Suspension is hard and can pretty well much feel all the lumps and bumps. Not a lot of cargo space upfront and not a lot of room to place mobile phone. Safety package is problem the best thing. Seems to be over priced. Likely to better to spend money on Mazda that is heavily spec out.
Manual handbreak though 😩
The acceleration on the more expensive 1.5 Full Hybrid is fairly dire at 25+ secs. That I don't get, and no one ever mentions it.
I appreciate it might not feel slow in practice with torque from the motor and basic electric drive at low speeds for a short period.
For the most expensive Ultra it doesn't make sense.
I do like the design and the car.
