Looking forward to seeing a test drive of the new CX80 with the 3.3 diesel. Currently driving our first ever volvo XC90 diesel which Volvo no longer produce.
I love the Mazda range I had a CX30 Auto it was wonderful to drive and so plush Mazda are top rate Company and there cars are brilliant I have driven the Mazda 2, 3 CX 30 CX3 and CX5 and I love them all everyone should consider a Mazda Bear Hull UK
I’m in NZ running a 2023 CX-5 Takami with the Sky-active 2.4ltr turbo engine. I can’t praise this car enough. Its performance in terms of real world power and competency combined with its economy must be at the forefront of what is available. I use 9.5ltr/100km in gridlocked Auckland. Boosting into gaps where possible with air con n and lots of idling. I’m not an AWD SUV. Then on the open road I can overtake with competency and get along at 8ltr/ 100Km. The ride, comfort, feeling, stereo just everything is first class.
As a previous owner of a 530 XD 2007 the only thing I miss is the sound of the engine. Crappy car, moved on to a 2016 A4 2.0 D quattro and now a mazda 6 2.2 diesel awd. I do not trust the quality of german cars anymore. I will definitely try this 3.3 Mazda next.
I sold it after 11 mo the, the engine itself is sweet but the gearbox is not on the adequate level, fog that torquey engine the gearing is too short especially in the 8th but as soon as you drive a bigg TV uphill it downshifts sometimes in the 5th gear and spins at 2500 rpm without speeding! Big room for improvement or Mazda could connect their engine to the ZF8 gearboxes. Generally speaking if you like driving and using the engine quality you will b ex C disappointed by the too soft chassis setting that ixx de not matching the power, avoid speed over 140 kmp/85 mph as it is feels not safe and stable at these speed. I trade it for a lower estate that weights 300 kg less and feels much more reactive and safer.
Don’t forget to mention the hybrid system malfunction that the cars are riddled with on the phev version. Stops cold on road for me twice in first month at 100klm an hour dangerous
I got my cx60 2024 model (3.3L e-skyactiv G version) last week here in Dubai UAE. So far I’m extremely happy with the car. The transmission is so smooth, absolutely nothing abnormal noted so far. The car is very comfortable and the engine noise is just amazing! Face recognition and safety e features (lane assistance and dynamic cruze control) are some of the high technology features in this car in my view. I’m wondering the issues listed here doesn’t apply to my model (ps: mine is the mild hybrid version).
Only changes I would have liked are a slightly higher ground clearance, and a slightly more forgiving ride...being from South Africa that is. Other than that, you cannot go wrong with a Mazda (Japanese). CX60 diesel is a fabulous car. PS: unsure about the lack of a touch screen...
i was wondering if he would mention them, it seems he reviewed more form personal experience than rather other reviewers' information which isnt to say that hes pushing misinformation. it would be nice if he acknowledged the issues as some sort of a sidenote though.
The biggest problem with the new Mazda CX-60 is actually the poor quality of the suspension, which is too rigid and completely spoils the ride comfort and also the driving safety. Fortunately, Koni has released special shock absorbers for this model. I fitted them on my CX-60 3.3 Turbodiesel and the comfort is a bit improved. However, I find it shameful that I had to spend CHF 2000 to drive my car in conditions of sufficient comfort and safety!
I am so butt hurt that Canada doesn't get this vehicle. It actually angers me Mazda. The CX70 sucks. I don't want the fat ass cx90 size. I want this sweet straight six diesel in the cx50 size. My truck is a straight 6 diesel and I love it. Damn it!
@@RixiV11 And the Levante diesel sounds like Jeep Cherokee diesel because its the same FCA junk diesel V6. Youre just way to dumb and dense to understand that, donkey.

That rumbling sound is incredible. Us Americans will be getting larger CX-70 3.3L gasoline, but I'm not convinced that it's as good as CX-60 diesel.

While others time waste with hybrid bs Mazda delivers real world. Well done.
Subscribed! I enjoyed this review and I just drove too the CX-60 Diesel here in my country its such a banger of a car!
Well done a proper video on the CX60, you have absolutely convinced me. I'm buying a CX60 👍🏽
The effort you put on b-rolls is great. This channel will prosper! But kindly add how does it feel in the second seat.
I wish Mazda would bring this engine to the USA.
They bring the CX 90 in the US, with same engine i think
@@hudiniimagician18no diesels in USA. From Mazda anyway.

Awesome review, great detail and production values! Keep it up 👍🏻

He never spoke about suspension, which had a recall as dampening not good.

11:40 my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 EcoDiesel also sounds like that when floored
i was led to believe these engines are difficult to service if any issues due to complexity.
This isn’t a review, it’s a masterpiece. Thank you! I love this car a lot, al though the price is quite high. Nevertheless a lot of car for the money.
Why are these engines not in NA?
Great video! Could you tell more about the engine conception ? How does a 3.3l inline makes such a low consumption ? What’s the secret ?
High torque low drag and lazy low end power together with cleverly designed combustion technology
@@EdenMotorGroup crazy compression and highly fractionated diesel ? Usually those engines don’t last long.
@@YauteAdventure yeah im sure i will take your word on that comment lol
@@YauteAdventure well they give 6y warranty. So not so bad
That’s why I bought one ! I trust Mazda is the only brand mastering high compression engines.
Which color in actual is best for the diesel variant, Platinum Quartz or Rhodium White?
For me the rhodium white
What about the suspension? Other reviews often speak rather badly about it...
Track widening is the key word, alsways a problem with mazda, i did 1 inch on every side, its a massive difference.
It's quite bumpy comparing to F-Pace. But engine is specticular
We need the CX60 in the states.

Does this have fog lights
It is a legal requirement for every UK car to have fog lights
Would help a lot if you take this car out of used car deelership 7 years from now with 80k miles on it and test it again…would you use same atributes?
Long live diesel power
is this AWD or RWD ?
AWD
