Lol 65....that's not even old...most people live til 85 minimum these days, or even close to 100. You talking yourself old at 65, is the problem for not achieving long life if you're not careful. Madonna is 65.
Hi Jeff, I am 70 and after 2 years of Keto feel 40 again. I am very interested in all that David says, even though some of it sounds expensive. I highly recommend Keto or other low carb diet!
He takes 1g NMN, 1g resveratrol, Vitamin D, K2, 83mg aspirin, avoid sugar, bread, pasta, skip one meal a day, get your blood tested, don't smoke, avoid plastic, excessive UV exposure, X-Rays, CT scans, sleep in a cold bedroom, do cold exposure, do exercise.👏👏👏👏👏
I am 27 and in the last few years I began to notice, that some of my peers are aging much faster than me. This observation caused me to often contemplate the topic of aging, and when I listened to Dr. Sinclair on Huberman Lab, I subscribed to Lifespan right away. Thank you for your work and for making this information accessible!
I started taking responsibility for my health in my early 20s. I stopped drinking - have not had one single drink since 1987, no cigarettes since 1993, I've had excellent nutrition and exercise. I have seen the amazing results for years, but now that I'm heading towards age 65, my efforts have paid off tremendously. I look and feel much better than 99% of my contemporaries. And now with all these new developments in knowledge, I benefit still. Something not mentioned by most practitioners too often is faith though. I'd be nowhere without my study of the Bible, years of pursuing that knowledge trumps everything.
@@tappersuzie Thank you for sharing your story and experience. Your story is very inspiring. I agree that faith plays a big role in our overall health, happiness, and longevity - and for me that is the most important THING of all. ❤

Complicated topic, I need to spend more time on it but you guys did a wonderful job explaining it to someone with no background. I was pretty skeptical on this idea and a lot of doctors online are too. All they need to do is listen to your podcast and they will have the background to understand. The better grip the average Joe has on this the better we will have of explaining it to those that don’t want to listen or simply not that interested and are kind of caught up in lifestyles that are killing them rapidly. This springs so much hope for my child’s generation, we can try to extend the life and the quality of it for those that are here with this knowledge and let us live out the rest of our life with a higher quality, by my child’s generation or his children’s children we’re going to see some really serious changes with this knowledge. I wish I could peek into the future 200 years from now then again at 1000 and 2000. We may survive this planet yet, all we need to do is stop killing our own through things like the poverty plate lack of healthy and hygienic sleeping conditions materialism and capitalism. If a rich person can build a brand new house after 15 years and tear down the old one why are we sticking people in homes so old they have mold, toxic mold? Greed… The root of all evil. When someone believes they deserve more than others because they have been fed the idea we injure our own species and ensure our demise. You can’t exactly blame the planet for trying to purge us now can you, not if we can’t get our shit together.
RadioLab podcast has an episode (The Dirty Drug and the Ice Cream Tub) on how Rapamycin was discovered and how it almost vanished from our knowledge, but for one man’s love for the molecule. It’s SO good.
Thank you Dr. Sinclair and Mr. LaPlante for your book and now this podcast. When it comes to health, I feel like I have been stumbling around in the dark my whole life. The context and data that you have structured so beautiful is giving me hope that an actual and manageable path to health is within reach. You guys rock!
David, please do an episode on bodybuilding and aging the trade off. Often times we want to gain muscle but do not want to activate Mtor and increase aging.
heard 2 minutes and pressed like, wish there was "love", "incredible" or "groundbraking" button. Ok, let's do 1 more hour of active listiening !!! David - your work and devotion to the area is beyond any scale.

Thank you thank you David Sinclair and co host for speaking so clear for us that are not on the scientific world. I was a mother at 44 years so my interest in keeping alive with my best quality possible as long as i can is a huge wish so i can share with my child many things in his adulthood. Hope as what you say, devices and everything else will be more accesible for us in the future, but we can start with what´s in our hands and that i have been reading/listening over the last years and it´s what you talked about on your episode 2 which i loved too. I´m excited for the next episodes!!!!!
I went to my hairdresser yesterday, we are in Perth Western Australia, and was telling him all about the first podcast. He's nodding away, I know, I know he says. He rushed out to get his phone and he is listening to Lifespan on Audible. Fantastic! I'm really looking forward to this series. Thank you Dr Sinclair and also to Professor Huberman for your knowledge and making it accessible to the general public. Oh and I love listening to an Australian accent (even though it is very light).
What a great way to go around the mainstream medical establishment and present the greatest research in real time directly to the common man. Your research is benefiting mankind at speeds unheard of, and imagined by the mainstream. The "mainstream" is withering from old age.
You're absolutely right, age is a disease and we weren't designed to suffer from it, but as our free will dictates, we sometimes miss the target and focus on things that aren't well for us a a species. It is so faith-strengthening to hear this from a super-accomplished geneticist.
Covid made me reconsider my life priorities and made me decide to go back to school and study biochemistry and molecular biology. I've read some of your works about the expression of 3 of 4 yamanaka factors in mice and it made want to focus my studies on trying to prolong human life / quality of life. Thank you! I feel like our current lifespans are a bottleneck to our civilization's advancement. Imagine what could be if our greatest minds could live and thrive for 30-40 more years in their prime.
"...we can control aging very precisely at will. We can speed it up as fast as we want in an animal, and even reverse it. So aging is now controllable." What a time to be alive.
We can't control aging indeed without God's mercy nano-medication. If AGEs (advanced glycation endproducts) can't be cleared away from body, it's impossible for reversal of biological aging.
@@ャンティオカ Shut up. You don't know. In front of me, prof. Sinclair doesn't know how to reverse biological aging because God doesn't guide him. Do you know who I am? Do you know nano-medication. I've applied nano-medication to cure: Central Pontine Hemorrhagic Stroke Taiwan's medical society is so shocked. This is real Regenerative Medicine. Nano-medication is the only AGEs (advanced glycation endproducts) breaker. You go back to home for further study. You're not qualified to come here for bullshit statement.
Dr. Sinclair, based on a comment you made, what's the reason people lived so long before the Biblical flood and started getting shorter lifespans after that? As a side note, THANK YOU!! I've been following your research for several months now and am beyond excited... It's like I'm see another life in front of me literally, and with youth. It's mind-blowing to say the least.
I'm very excited about this. I've just finished the episode from Huberman Lab podcast. You and Dr. Huberman briefly touched on the topic of fertility and age-reversing. I would be happy to learn more about it and the protocols women can benefit from to extend their fertility age. Thank you!
I remember about 20 years ago when I still went to school and we didn't have all this great information that is now available online, I often said "aging is just a disease, we could be immortal" and everyone said I was stupid and laughed. Thank you so much Dr Sinclair for your amazing work ! I am looking forward to your future podcasts.
Rise and shine, it's lifespan podcast time! Looking forward to listen more of Dr. David Sinclair's precious info! 💪😁 Live long, stay fit, stay healthy!
Can you do a podcast on development of children? The acceleration of aging during puberty seems to be somewhat polar opposite to the idea of fasting during adulthood. What ideas come to mind when we say “skip a meal” to a 25-45 year old vs to a 7 yr old, 13 yr old, etc? How do you think about optimizing health in children that are developing in height, performance, etc? Thank you for all you guys do!
I think if you watch the podcast of Dr.Huberman & Dr.Sinclair @Andrew Huberman they have shet a little light on this topic/question you are asking & i think it would help you tremendously
@@86FunQ I've watched a few of David's interviews and haven't heard any of this info applied to children. They are in a massive growth phase plus hormonal changes during puberty. Junk food needs to be avoided as much as possible and a sedentary lifestyle. Hopefully they can be encouraged to eat plenty of fresh veg and some healthy protein like fish or chicken. But above all I would be concerned about giving them hangups around eating and just let them enjoy being kids
It is actually great that David has a podcast now. Media would gladly take that saying about immortality and make a big headline, false hope or over-skepticism while here he can explain his take on it himself
one of the best speakers I have heard and I am hoping David can soon find a way to make my optic nerves stronger and mybe bring vision to the eyes after rd
Very pleased that you are going to share your knowledge and experience with us in the podcast format, Dr. Sinclair! I'm looking forward to learning more and working to optimize my biology and be creative and productive for years to come. Thank you!
Dr SInclair, maaaaaaaate! Welcome and thank you!! Love the hour sessions. You're in the gang now that creates supreme content. Praise Jah. Also, you're strengthening my faith in the bible as Adam and Eve were promised they would only die if they ate from "the tree of the knowledge of good and bad" as consequence of an error in their obedience to their amazing Creator that gave them this awesome entire planet to live on with bulk food all over the ground and in the water, free water and energy from the sky, heaps to do, animals to play with, and families to grow. But that wild promise should be able to be proven true, and here you are proving it. Thank you. - Genesis 2:9, 15-25.
I'm here from Huberman. I really hope in the future of this podcast we have the opportunity to throw out a few questions to inspire some discussions from yourself.
I doubted about Laplante going to be of any value at the beginning, I was wrong I love that his questions was to doubt a statement and waiting to be answered by Sinclair, he asks questions we want to ask.
I would just like to thank you for your courageous efforts in keeping us all healthy and young if possible. I am sure that your grandmother is really proud of you now. I have been following you for several years now and find that Your explanation of your research is down to earth and clear especially for a nonscientist. I truly do hope that when you come out with formulas for the rest of us to take they will be available to all at an affordable price as you have said you would in past talks. NMN sounds very promising. Keep up the great work looking forward to all of your talks and podcast and once again I👏Applaud you

Much love n respect for Dr Sinclair whose theory on cell information loss driving aging corresponds with universal entropy n disorder which is pushing cosmological age.. also great respect for prof. Yamanaka.. these people are the true rare gems. thank you!
Such an educational podcast! Thank you so much for what you are doing 🙏 In your book you mentioned that in Hebrew there is a phrase "till 120" when people greet each other every birthday. We also say in Hebrew "Lechaym" which means "to life" every time we raise our wine and cheers. So, thank you for improving our quality and quantity of LIFE.
I’m exhausted by life. I just want to get to the finish line and die of “natural causes” like Betty White, and not be a drain on my family. Quality of life is important to me but in this current world, quantity is less so. I’m not ready to check out yet though so I appreciate your knowledge and your desire to keep the rest of us in the loop. I’ll continue to tune in. Looking forward to future episodes 👍

Very true, so much misinformation there from Governments and commercial organisations
Thank you!! Waiting for Biological Clock Test! All the best!
David, please do an episode on bodybuilding and aging the trade off. Often times we want to gain muscle but do not want to activate Mtor and increase aging.
I'm literally jumping off my chair.! This is power pack. Finally a
"guardian angel" to safe us.😊
It's good to have a podcast coming directly from David as opposed to random interviews by others.
heard 2 minutes and pressed like, wish there was "love", "incredible" or "groundbraking" button. Ok, let's do 1 more hour of active listiening !!! David - your work and devotion to the area is beyond any scale.
This is simply incredible.
Thank you Dr. David Sinclair.
Well overdue
Type 1 Diabetic since a coma at 18mnths old. Countless seizures, slight brain damage from the seizures back over a decade ago. I've been doing keto and int fasting for 5 years and my health has improved DRAMATICALLY. Defo recommend. Thanks for spreading your message guys.
I discovered you thanks to Andrew Huberman, currently reading your book and am hyped for this podcast!. I have a feeling its going to be an amazing one.
This is such a fantastic podcast. Not only have I signed up for athletic greens and inside tracker I listened to the podcasts over and over. They are excellent and I hope I am changing my lifestyle to
Live a longer and more quality life. Me wish us for more podcasts to be developed. I’ve listened to all 8! And I want more.
Love this! Every bit of knowledge I can get about longevity I'll gladly take. Thank you David, for everyone you do for humanity!
I discovered Dr. Sinclair when Andrew Huberman had him in his podcast, love and appreciate how they are informing us. Thank you, gracias❤
My year's resolution this year is to keep hope alive and this content is coming in handy.
Happy New Year Dr- David Sinclair. Thank you for developing the podcast. Amazing contents to be followed.
What an exciting time to be alive ! Thank you scicomm media👏.
This podcast is going to be a game changer for our species.
Just commenting and listening to this podcast will make me look and feel younger and live longer. Yaaaasss
"...we can control aging very precisely at will. We can speed it up as fast as we want in an animal, and even reverse it. So aging is now controllable." What a time to be alive.
We can't control aging indeed without God's mercy nano-medication.
If AGEs (advanced glycation endproducts) can't be cleared away from body,
it's impossible for reversal of biological aging.
@@davidlo168888 god has nothing to do with this
@@ャンティオカ Shut up. You don't know. In front of me, prof. Sinclair doesn't
know how to reverse biological aging because God doesn't guide him.
Do you know who I am? Do you know nano-medication. I've applied
nano-medication to cure:
Central Pontine Hemorrhagic Stroke
Taiwan's medical society is so shocked. This is real Regenerative Medicine.
Nano-medication is the only AGEs (advanced glycation endproducts) breaker.
You go back to home for further study. You're not qualified to come here
for bullshit statement.
@@davidlo168888 you should be taking meds man
It was the best of times it was the worst of times . . . Thanks for bringing the best guys!!!
I've been so excited about this podcast....Here we go. Love your work David and thanks for bringing us this free information.
Thank you!
Yes, I would also appreciate an episode on fertility!
Me too! Xx
That would be a great episode!
Yes!! Yearning for more info on women’s health and fertility!
Nmn is responsible for longer fertility. Tested on animals and humans.
So much has changed dine then, and continues to do so, the faster the bette 👍
Rise and shine, it's lifespan podcast time! Looking forward to listen more of Dr. David Sinclair's precious info! 💪😁 Live long, stay fit, stay healthy!
CONGRATS!!! I am subscriber 34,201 dont forget us when you have 1 million!!!
I think this info applies to adults and kids just need to develop normally with a healthy diet and active lifestyle
The audio version of Lifespan is an informative and interesting listen.
Looking forward to following this podcast. May it be fruitful with a long lifespan.
It is actually great that David has a podcast now. Media would gladly take that saying about immortality and make a big headline, false hope or over-skepticism while here he can explain his take on it himself
Love this. Congrats mate!
one of the best speakers I have heard and I am hoping David can soon find a way to make my optic nerves stronger and mybe bring vision to the eyes after rd
So excited! Thanks for doing this! We always needed more ❤❤
Very pleased that you are going to share your knowledge and experience with us in the podcast format, Dr. Sinclair! I'm looking forward to learning more and working to optimize my biology and be creative and productive for years to come. Thank you!
Im so excited for this podcast. Thank you!!!!!❤
Dr SInclair, maaaaaaaate!
Love the dynamic, having someone to bounce ideas and questions about this topic is important! Thank you both for this platform 🙏
I'm here from Huberman.
I really hope in the future of this podcast we have the opportunity to throw out a few questions to inspire some discussions from yourself.
So excited about this series, thanks for giving up some of your time to help us extend ours
Keep up the great work looking forward to all of your talks and podcast and once again I👏Applaud you
I am chronologically 61. Will I be able to benefit from these discoveries and avoid further ex-differentiation? This is so fascinating. I am going to watch the entire series. Thanks you gentlemen!
I loved your book and recommended it to countless other healthcare professionals. Really exciting stuff! This podcast was excellent. I just can't say enough great things about you and your work. I'm so grateful that you are doing this podcast so that everyone can get as excited about these incredible advancements as I am!
Dr. David, I have been following you for ages already, so happy to see you starting your own Podcast. Looking forward to every moment with you.
Thank you Dr. Sinclair and to your colleague for starting your own podcast- I have been following your youtube broadcasts for 2 years now and find it fascinating. If you require any volunteers for your work - I am ready, thank you :)
Connect with him on Twitter DM
Much love n respect for Dr Sinclair whose theory on cell information loss driving aging corresponds with universal entropy n disorder which is pushing cosmological age.. also great respect for prof. Yamanaka.. these people are the true rare gems. thank you!
Such an educational podcast!
Thank you so much for what you are doing 🙏
In your book you mentioned that in Hebrew there is a phrase "till 120" when people greet each other every birthday.
Looking forward to future episodes 👍
betty white lived at 99 coz of her genetics 😂😂😂😂,
