@@ismail41208 you fix the corrupted data just by rebuilding database? Nothing has worked for me. I've had a feeling that it was the playroom or something else that was corrupted. I've totally wiped the whole PlayStation clean by initializing it and I still get corrupted data immediately.
It does not "re-format" your drive, because if it did all your data would be gone. Your right about it finding corrupt data and erasing it. All rebuild database does is rebuild your file table index for the content on your systems hard drive and scans the files for abnormalities, which would be corrupted files. It doesn't actually physically move any of the content that you have installed or saved on the drive, unless it's flagged as a corrupted file and deleted. People also seem to think it does the same as a pc defrag, which is not at all true. If it were the process would take way longer.
Love you so sooo much, for two days my ps4 just hasn’t been working as it should ever though it’s new but once I rebuild the database it work I was even able to sign into my network thank you so much you don’t know how stress out I was you’re a life saver!
My PS4 was lagging and freezing after Update 10.01 and I factory reset and data rebuild and now it runs smooth without causing problems. I can now play my games without any problems let's just hope. Thanks for your tutorial on restoring the PS4 to play right.
My PlayStation was rapid fire freezing like every 5 minutes after turning on and this fixed it, thank you so much! This was done on a second generation base PS4. (Whole top is matte instead of one side being glossed).

Thanks for the help, rebuilding my database took 5 minutes. Also when I checked my library it only showed 37 out of my 400 games purchased but they slowly started to populate without having to restore my licenses

Great video bro. I know what you mean when you say that scary feeling when it boots up and says that the data may be corrupt and then it would do the rebuilding database process and reboot itself. Fortunately I never lost any data. It only would boot up with that issue when the power would trip from the weather being bad. And the ps4 would basically cut off like as if it was just unplugged out the socket. So grateful I never had to redownload any games due to loss of data to this. Take care bro and God Bless
@Pk Shaz its hard to explain but, you have to turn of the ps4 then unplug it then wait 30 sec then plug back in then hold the ps4 button on ps4 then wait till you hear the beep then when you hear 2nd beep, you let go of the button and then you do what it says then pick the rebuild database one then wait for it to be done 😊

Thank you so much. After the update 8.50, my system continously froze and would shut down. When I go to turn it back on (even when it doesn't freeze) it always said "checking system storage status". I'd get lucky a few times for it suggest to send a crash report and take me to the home screen. When I had that chance, I backed up all my games on an external hard drive. I was NOT going to take the gamble to intiialize and erase ALL my data because what if the system still had problems after? So i did as instructed in this video to rebuild my data base and my ps4 is working again. So thanks again.

I had to do a database rebuild for my PS4, hoping to fix a CE-34878-0 error that was becoming far too frequent. Too early to say whether it fixed the problem, but, without the heads-up you gave us, I wouldn't have known what to do about those missing icons.
