Bloodbourne was a lot harder because it uses an old engine as most FromSoftware games do (they just aren’t very good devs when you look at the whole picture). The game speed was tied to frame rate so if you ran the game at 60fps originally the game would double in speed, so the guy who made the patch actually had to put a lot of work into it to get it working. But with almost every other PS4 game its as easy as modying 2 lines of hex code.
NOOO, you can't just hack a ps4, change 2 lines of code, and play uncharted 4 at 60fps on ps4. You have to buy the ps5 version for 70 bucks and a ps5 for 500. Jeff: Hacked PS4 go brrrrr.
I've always wanted a ps4 and jailbreak it, but they're all still expensive. I managed to snatch one for 12$ that the user said it wasn't working. The issue was the powersupply connector on the motherboard was loose, so I got myself a fat 1tb last revision PS4 for really cheap. Old firmware that I've jailbroken too, really amazing console and I really enjoy it.

I do my actual gaming on a current, unhacked PS4 because of ease of use. What XBOX Series S/X has done to enable developer access, thus allowing homebrew and emulation without hassles is brilliant and should set a new standard.
You mean the save game transfer or something else? Because I HIGHLY doubt that they'd patch the specific "exploit" with a manipulated PS4 save for the PS5. It's a very specific situation and they don't really have a financial reason to patch it, as long as it can't be used to Jailbreak the PS5. Nobody cares if you cheat yourself money in God of War, the only Game Developers I see having issues with such things are Ubisoft and EA, but even there it's not nearly relevant enough they'd care.

there was a cool program for the Xbox 360 on PC called Horizon that was also capable of editing saved game data then using it on the console just with a USB drive. It was such a great time
jailbroken ps5s are gonna be crazy good value. Built in ps4 backwards compatibility, SHOULD be powerful enough for ps3, definitely powerful enough for ps1, ps2, psp, vita, and more.
PS4 compatibility is default because that PS5 is technically the same AMD GCN technology as the PS4/Pro just smaller, faster and more efficient (RDNA 2). But, PS5s flash memory and storage system isn’t like your traditional hardware layout so I don’t see how anyone would justify trying to get Linux to run optimally, let alone gun games.

This is some interesting stuff like really expressive and running BOTW on a ps4 is absolutely crazy. I don't think its worth buying a ps4 JUST to jailbreak it though, just save up for a pc at that point.
The online play becomes less of an issue as Sony shuts down game servers. Maybe someday someone will work out a some kind of private server setup. Or some small hosting company can convince Sony to let them take over the servers to maintain them. I would be willing to pay $15/mo to still be able to play old games online with friends and other people.
10:32 you see the problem here is that blood borne at 60fps literally proved that comment right that you can’t just make a game 60fps with two lines of code, because blood borne freaks out when you increase the frames and enemy animation speeds glitch out and enemies become much faster than usual
Haven't plugged in my PS4 Pro since PS5 launch, turned it on to check firmware, it's 8.01, o well guess I'll have to wait for a newer version to be jailbroken.
I really do hope they give us a way to jailbreak them before the servers shut down, that or some people figure out a way to exploit ANY firmware they release.

there is a fan mod for jailbroken ps4 where you can set the temperature of ps4 and not to go fan on jet engine
the only problem is the lower resolution (900p on a big screen dont look that good). But I'm guessing that's a result of the weak hardware.

10:32 you see the problem here is that blood borne at 60fps literally proved that comment right that you can’t just make a game 60fps with two lines of code, because blood borne freaks out when you increase the frames and enemy animation speeds glitch out and enemies become much faster than usual
Haven't plugged in my PS4 Pro since PS5 launch, turned it on to check firmware, it's 8.01, o well guess I'll have to wait for a newer version to be jailbroken.
If you don't have a good PC, jailbreak the 4 and play with buddies on 5 ...
assuming you have enough money for a ps4 and a ps5 at the same time, you probably have enough money to have a good pc aswell

This makes sense to do now since the PS4 is about to reach its lifespan as a past-gen console. which is both interesting and very scary.
I really do hope they give us a way to jailbreak them before the servers shut down, that or some people figure out a way to exploit ANY firmware they release.
