For anyone seeing my comment. I always play gaming online for PS4 and my family sometimes lags me. I tried many DNS and the best one for me is actually EarthLink DNS Servers Primary DNS: 207.69.188.185 - Secondary DNS: 207.69.188.186.
I am wifi as I cannot do lan/wired. I am getting 9-15 Mbps Download and like 2-3 Mbps upload. Download is what matters the most. Apex Legends has been less laggy and hardly no package loss. DNS varies for people based on their locations. EarthLink is good for me but may be bad for you. However, give it a try.

I have FiOS 300 down and up to my appliances downstairs, but up stairs I only had 36 down 11 up. I purchased a wifi extender with a Lan connection, linked it to my PS4 and saw a marginal improvement. When I tried your set up using Wi-Fi and not the Lan, I now have 217 down 76 up. I'm returning the wifi extender asap.

Hello Jonh! sorry for that big text. do you believe it is necessary for me to use a DNS other than my ISP? My Plan is 240Mbps Down and 20Mbps UP (QOS on my router is 70% Ps4 higher) and speeds always beat between 190Down / 8Mbps * UP * on PS4 using my operator's DNS. already When I use Google DNS or OpenDns My Upload is no more than 3Mbps. my doubt is, if these DNS really different from our ISP improves our experience during online games or just in the probability of increasing the speed of downloading games. sorry my ingles

i ran default dns with no ethernet and i got 57.7 mbps download and 4.9 mbps upload

I moved my PS4 to to a room 10 feet away from my router and my Spectrum WiFi won’t connect. Stated internet failed. The only way my PS4 will connect is if I’m on Ethernet. HELP!!!

How is this telling you the optimal DNS server? The optimal DNS server for gaming would be the one with the lowest ping. This is simply a bandwidth test. Generally your choice in DNS server doesn't affect your bandwidth. Any fluctuation in speeds are likely related to your ISP and have nothing to do with your DNS. Your other video actually tests for the fastest DNS in the proper way.

His upload speed is higher than his download speed because he just changed his DNS settings to that specific format. Another reason can be is he is using an internet plan with upload speed being higher than download speed.

i usually get 50 Mbps but I switched to a newer router recently and it made my connection complete shit. everywhere else in the house was getting 80 Mbps but mine was running 100 kbps download. i got a wifi extender and i get around 25/30 Mbps. the 1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1 helped a little more so thanks man❤️.

Did the exact same tests with the exact same DNS settings and averaged them out, and CloudFlare was by far the best for me.

@@colevgreen1464 before everything I was getting between 1-3mbps down and 200-400kbps up. CloudFlare brought me to 5.1 down, 1.1 up. Not great numbers by any stretch, but when you're running off rural DSL, every MB helps.
