I did all these tips except for the one with the ps4 stand vertically and the tip where you change thermal paste. I kid you not, my Apex Legends would run on 30-55FPS but after doing some of these tips my game felt way smoother and now it is running 50-60FPS solid! Subscriber earned👍

Moving from 144fps on pc to a default settings on Ps4 slim gave me a headache due to the low fps. Tweaked a few settings and suddenly it becomes playable. Glad that I found this video on my first day of transitioning from pc to ps4
Honestly I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart In fortnite, I was getting frame drops from like 60 fps to 38 NOW after watching 3 of your videos I'm getting a strong 60 fps and even goes to 62 Also my ping was averaging 60 -80 Now its 40-60

@antonitobendrito2243 enable high contrast in accessibility. And make the RGB range full on sound and screen. And turn the resolution from automatic to the highest unless it says in parentheses 'not supported'
Speaking of cleaning your system, I use a duster every 2-3 months on my systems and PC. I have a PS3 Slim that was getting loud and you could hear the fans. I opened it up and it was filled with dust and lint. Cleaned it up and it made a HUGE difference. Now it runs quiet like when it was brand new. I also throw a dust cover on my consoles and PC. Especially when they aren't going to be used for a while.

im surprised this worked, i doubted it at first but in games i used to get stutters for some reason and weird fps drops + some freezing but after doing almost everything you mentioned it fixed most of the issues i had been facing
Gonna give this ago see how it goes I've been playing subnautica this past week and trying to build a base becomes virtually Impossible as soon as your base becomes a certain size (not very big) frame rate drops so bad the game is unplayable

PS4 has 2 CPUs: 1. 8 Core Jaguar CPU for games and heavy tasks 2. Another CPU for running OS and Background tasks (downloading, background, pop-ups, etc…) this is why if a game is running you can go to your capture gallery, internet, and some other programs but if you try to trim a video it will ask you to suspend the game because trimming needs a lot more Horse power than playing a video. These TIPS probably won’t have any effect: TIP 01: Clean capture gallery TIP 03: Background TIP 04: Pop-ups TIP 05: Recording TIP 06: limit # of items TIP 09: Stopping downloads this TIP may have some effect on some games because a lot of games will render internally in the same resolution then down(or up)scale it to match the screen: TIP 10: Lower resolution
If you don't have a stand for it already, then it's not something that makes that much of a difference that it is worth the money necessarily, but you can use the official stand to use the pro or slim vertically: amzn.to/3ji1V0x

@@BrUsch3t3J4mil4 because it's running 🏃♂️ faster. Not all games support 1080p so when a game doesn't support 1080p the ps4 is trying to apply the 1080p resolution pointlessly which means that it also consumes a lot of power 🔋 during the process so there you go, I hope it helped a bit
@@BrUsch3t3J4mil4 first you must understand that trying to adjust a resolution which is not always supported by the game itself leads to more pointless processing power for the ps4, which simply means that the more power the ps4 consumes the more lag you get, how can you have better fps speeds if the ps4 has more work to do while you're playing games?? It's like you're trying to run faster then you can. Applying higher resolution means more processing power which results in lagging 😒 when it comes to the regular ps4, ps4 pro and ps5 on the other hand is another story, you can literally do whatever you want with resolution, but the simple ps4 has limitations unfortunately when it comes to this particular department unless you own a pro version or you have replaced the regular gpu and cpu of the regular ps4 with something better 😉.
i got crash 4 its about time on my ps4..it was the first game that i had fps issues with..if your method would fix it you have a follower for life mate.
Most people will range between 55 and 60 so this video should still help them as it will secure a solid 60 with occasional spikes above in uncapped games (fortnite is the only one i know of).

@@syn8907 just a little, frame still dropping in severeal place. I think the problem not on the ps4, the problem is mihoyo didnt do any optimization for ps4 genshin. Last of us 2 and red dead redemption 2 can run very smoothly, why not genshin?
They wont allow anything to exceed 60HZ as the PS4 has a capped output but a lot of them do help stabilise FPS and make sure it is at the maximum it can reach as well as increase the general speed and smoothness of the PS4 UI itself.
The more full your storage is, the longer it takes the PS4 to find assets to load in, which may make a game hitch or drop in frame rate. The capture gallery seems to have a larger impact on this than game installs though and as your gallery fills up, you may notice small errors in recording too. If you dont want to delete the stuff there, you could first transfer it all to a USB, then delete it from your PS4 :)
Automatic sets the resolution to the highest res available on your display, and is dynamic so may sometimes switch between different games/scenes. I advise that you only move down one setting. So if you currently play at 1080p, go to 720p, if you play at 2160p go to 1080p. Only move to 480p if you currently play at 720p and still experience low frame rates even after doing all the other tips in this video. Hope this helps :)
Hey! Your PS4 has your animated theme running in the background (kinda), which can have a negative impact on your console's performance. The less bits required to be read by the system the less work has to be done, thus freeing up a little extra room for performance on the PS4.
I've definitely noticed that my theme has been very taxing on the PS4 cause it would make noises even when nothing is happening. For the theme, does it need to be a solid colour or would turning music off and having a static theme work just as well?
Confused as to whether this is a joke or not lol. Wasnt he used in the PS4 UI marketing or something back when the PS4 released? Go to the web browser, search for "black 1920x1080" and on images, then click it, then click square to go full screen and screenshot the image. Then go to themes, set a custom theme, select your image from "all" in the gallery and then position it or zoom how youd like. Hope this helps :D
Ohh thats the preview used on the PS4. Select your solid black image, reposition it if needed, and then the henry bayle is the preview thing. You just then apply it/confirm. Henry bayle is in the preview image as it is part of the UI and isnt programmed to show u as the user in the preview. Youll notice the menu layout in the preview isnt yours either/not ur games

I'm pretty sure most of these don't have any effect on fps during playing a game
They wont allow anything to exceed 60HZ as the PS4 has a capped output but a lot of them do help stabilise FPS and make sure it is at the maximum it can reach as well as increase the general speed and smoothness of the PS4 UI itself.

can you explain how tip one affects the framerate? I have alot saved and I don't really want to delete anything lol
The more full your storage is, the longer it takes the PS4 to find assets to load in, which may make a game hitch or drop in frame rate. The capture gallery seems to have a larger impact on this than game installs though and as your gallery fills up, you may notice small errors in recording too. If you dont want to delete the stuff there, you could first transfer it all to a USB, then delete it from your PS4 :)

would you recommend automatic or 480p resolution for my video output setting?
Automatic sets the resolution to the highest res available on your display, and is dynamic so may sometimes switch between different games/scenes. I advise that you only move down one setting. So if you currently play at 1080p, go to 720p, if you play at 2160p go to 1080p. Only move to 480p if you currently play at 720p and still experience low frame rates even after doing all the other tips in this video. Hope this helps :)

Hey! Your PS4 has your animated theme running in the background (kinda), which can have a negative impact on your console's performance. The less bits required to be read by the system the less work has to be done, thus freeing up a little extra room for performance on the PS4.

I've definitely noticed that my theme has been very taxing on the PS4 cause it would make noises even when nothing is happening.
For the theme, does it need to be a solid colour or would turning music off and having a static theme work just as well?
Having a static theme would make a HUGE improvement, but a solid colour would just help that little bit more.

Confused as to whether this is a joke or not lol. Wasnt he used in the PS4 UI marketing or something back when the PS4 released? Go to the web browser, search for "black 1920x1080" and on images, then click it, then click square to go full screen and screenshot the image. Then go to themes, set a custom theme, select your image from "all" in the gallery and then position it or zoom how youd like. Hope this helps :D

Ohh thats the preview used on the PS4. Select your solid black image, reposition it if needed, and then the henry bayle is the preview thing. You just then apply it/confirm. Henry bayle is in the preview image as it is part of the UI and isnt programmed to show u as the user in the preview. Youll notice the menu layout in the preview isnt yours either/not ur games

I did this and when i looked at my fps on fortnite i wasent getting any fps drops it stayed on 60 and sometimes it jumped to 61

Actually worked and added a few fps for my PS4 pro in the Eden Ring's new DLC: Shadow of the Erdtree

You could change the thermal paste helps a bunch even clean your heatsink it would be amazing
