    Great video and nice setup you put together. I get that there's a battery for the goggles, but is there a similar battery for the camera? Thank you

    what mm size of end camara holder

  • @michaelrogers8090
    @michaelrogers8090 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    you could use rubber hose and car radiator hose clamps on the coupler to the scope rear.

    • @WeAreNotAlone69
      @WeAreNotAlone69 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like using rubber /silicone hose as:
      1: Makes for a waterproof connection.
      2: Robust /Secure connection.
      3: Tension applied to clamp allows use on scopes which are about the same OD, but are not.
      (Downside clamps, in that case use tape to build up OD of what you are attaching sub-assembly to.)
      4: Protects camera from RECOIL...
      5: If dropped /bumped keeps things from breaking, or getting out of alignment.

  • @BlacktailShadow

    Oh I have another question. Will a nv setup like this work on a gas piston air rifle (12lb. +)? Or would the recoil just make it impractical? Thank for any expertise you can offer. I'm new to this level of air gunning.

    • @fgytshooting8335
      @fgytshooting8335  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      BlacktailShadow should be ok but check the join often to see if it moves airgun recoil is more harsh than centerfire in that it snaps fwds and backwards

    hello, I have tried to mount a following your advice, I used a Chinese rearview camera, and when I plug in the tube, the image I see is small .not takes the whole screen (I have a monitor from 5 '' and I can not enlarge it .I tried to move more or less close to the viewfinder but nothing .I know if it depends on the video camera or from 'the optical viewfinder. can you give me some advice' ?? thank you very much in advance.

    • @fgytshooting8335
      @fgytshooting8335  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Giuseppe Manna do you know what lens you have a 12mm or 16mm is best to display the full screen it needs to be 3-4 inches from the scope just as your eye is for normal shooting

    • @giuseppemanna7511
      @giuseppemanna7511 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      FGYT Shooting thanks for answering immediately. I have a simple riflescope 3-9x40, and the camera I used is a car reversing camera I believe with lente12 mm (but will check when I get back home). you refer to the size of the camera lens? again thank you for availability.

    hia mate first cheers for replys you send to us all shooters . but im sorry dude i have one crirasizem because others are also doing the same mistake . jioning the coupler to the end cap??? size of end cap is 40mm , also you say SAME size 40mm copler . ??? how the hell can one cover the other ?? ANSWER is to get a 38mm to push into end cap , obvously 40mm to 40mm dosnt work, if a problem with a mm just put a piece of tape on PROBLEM SOLVED MY FRIEND hope this helps you.all best for exmas and new year billy

    • @fgytshooting8335
      @fgytshooting8335  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Scott Unsworth no the 40mm refers to the whole family of pipe fittings and in that size these are plumbing fittings all 40mm fittings are used on 40mm pipe so the coupler is big enough to fit 40mm pipe and the end stop is sized to fit into the coupler (you did see me push fit them together in the vid and the descriptions in the links) the only mix up would be the smaller series which is 32mm and all 32mm fittings work together but don't fit 40mm series without 32-40mm adaptor.... as pointed out many times all the parts are linked above and are correct (40mm is the old 1.5" generally used for bath waste pipe . 32mm is the old 1.25" generally used for sink waste pipe. ) this is relevant in the UK where I am and the links are to UK suppliers as of the date of the Video posting

    Wireless means wireless you got a bloody wire on your goggles HOW can it be a wireless unit

    • @WeAreNotAlone69
      @WeAreNotAlone69 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Googles are WIRELESS... in that there is no wire being connected DIRECTLY to the camera. The wire you are referring to connects the goggles to transceiver and battery pack, transceiver talking to the transceiver the camera is connected to over a WIRELESS CONNECTION.
      Pros:
      Decoupled from weapon.
      No "wire" between weapon and operator.
      Ability most likely to connect to other imaging devices, dvr /recording devices (Limited I'm sure, but doable)
      Cons:
      Extra complexity (Failure point)
      Extra batteries (Weight, Expense) to deal with.
      I would think forgoing wireless would reduce expense weight, greatly extend run-time.
      Downside googles being tethered to scope.
