    Hi mate i have the 14 inch barrel on my 15.17 and just wanted to know is it just called a reflex silencer or does it have a full name?

    • @fgytshooting8335
      @fgytshooting8335 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Reflex is the name for the type where the silencer goes back over the barrel . One that just screws on fwds of the barrel is called an end of barrel Moderator. Mine is a nightingale other brands are avalible ie wildcat or calibre innovations to make 2 other great British made moderators

    hou much would you build one for my crossbow scope ???????

  • @michaelrogers8090
    @michaelrogers8090 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    you could use rubber hose and car radiator hose clamps on the coupler to the scope rear.

    • @WeAreNotAlone69
      @WeAreNotAlone69 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like using rubber /silicone hose as: 1: Makes for a waterproof connection. 2: Robust /Secure connection. 3: Tension applied to clamp allows use on scopes which are about the same OD, but are not. (Downside clamps, in that case use tape to build up OD of what you are attaching sub-assembly to.) 4: Protects camera from RECOIL... 5: If dropped /bumped keeps things from breaking, or getting out of alignment.

    hello, I have tried to mount a following your advice, I used a Chinese rearview camera, and when I plug in the tube, the image I see is small .not takes the whole screen (I have a monitor from 5 '' and I can not enlarge it .I tried to move more or less close to the viewfinder but nothing .I know if it depends on the video camera or from 'the optical viewfinder. can you give me some advice' ?? thank you very much in advance.

      Giuseppe Manna do you know what lens you have a 12mm or 16mm is best to display the full screen it needs to be 3-4 inches from the scope just as your eye is for normal shooting

      FGYT Shooting thanks for answering immediately. I have a simple riflescope 3-9x40, and the camera I used is a car reversing camera I believe with lente12 mm (but will check when I get back home). you refer to the size of the camera lens? again thank you for availability.

    I guess you're in the UK? is this thing under 24" folded?

    • @fgytshooting8335
      @fgytshooting8335 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      danebrewer10 yes its over 600mm folded so perfectly legal in UK . because of the short 14" barrel I had to make the Aluminum spine stick out further than the fore stock if it had a 15" or longer barrel it wouldn't need that done . but it does allow the bipod to be mounted further fees for a more stable position

    hia mate first cheers for replys you send to us all shooters . but im sorry dude i have one crirasizem because others are also doing the same mistake . jioning the coupler to the end cap??? size of end cap is 40mm , also you say SAME size 40mm copler . ??? how the hell can one cover the other ?? ANSWER is to get a 38mm to push into end cap , obvously 40mm to 40mm dosnt work, if a problem with a mm just put a piece of tape on PROBLEM SOLVED MY FRIEND hope this helps you.all best for exmas and new year billy

    • @fgytshooting8335
      @fgytshooting8335 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scott Unsworth no the 40mm refers to the whole family of pipe fittings and in that size these are plumbing fittings all 40mm fittings are used on 40mm pipe so the coupler is big enough to fit 40mm pipe and the end stop is sized to fit into the coupler (you did see me push fit them together in the vid and the descriptions in the links) the only mix up would be the smaller series which is 32mm and all 32mm fittings work together but don't fit 40mm series without 32-40mm adaptor.... as pointed out many times all the parts are linked above and are correct (40mm is the old 1.5" generally used for bath waste pipe . 32mm is the old 1.25" generally used for sink waste pipe. ) this is relevant in the UK where I am and the links are to UK suppliers as of the date of the Video posting

    Oh I have another question. Will a nv setup like this work on a gas piston air rifle (12lb. +)? Or would the recoil just make it impractical? Thank for any expertise you can offer. I'm new to this level of air gunning.

    • @fgytshooting8335
      @fgytshooting8335 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      BlacktailShadow should be ok but check the join often to see if it moves airgun recoil is more harsh than centerfire in that it snaps fwds and backwards

    Great video mate! Been a while since I saw the HMR and A.I chassis video, would love more info on that!! I myself use a single point bungee type sling for same reasons as you state, always good to have rifle under control and not at risk of damage being on the ground. I learned the hard way when my nv rolled over from being top heavy...never again! :)

    the price of the Yukon Lens, you'd be better of buying a Mini T67

    • @fgytshooting8335
      @fgytshooting8335 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Spiritual Trigger Ii put this together a long time beforehand T67 was even thought of . We just had the T20 back then and this was the way to get better either the Doubler (T50 equive now) or the Sunranger. When the T67 came out (couple yeras later) it was only 2 battery I had one cut down to single battery for me just before they Released the single version ...that said I much prefer My T20 Sunranger its a lot smaller and lighter than the Mini T67 and you get far less Visible Red light signature at a smaller angle of sight .. I dont use the T67 on any of my rifles But have got it fitted to a GEN1 Sight I use as a spotter Combo ATB Duncan

    • @ShotgunJay.
      @ShotgunJay. 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've the t20, t50 and the t67 and to be honest, I'd sell the t67 in the morning for another t50 even tho. the t67 is much tighter for greater distance I'd go for the t50 for the balance that it's got over the t67. Tho. I was merely allowing people to know that (if it is their first purchase) not to buy the t20 and the lens to double up. Cheers for your swift reply. Jon.

    Thanks for spending your time and money and sharing your findings with us, looks like you have got a good beam sorted. I have spent a ridiculous amount on torches, lenses, reflectors as quiet a few other people have trying to find a good mix of parts. Are you good at juggling, its just when you had all three torches at the end you did quiet well, when Ive been messing with cameras and IR illuminators it gets frustrating trying to hold everything at times.

    Wireless means wireless you got a bloody wire on your goggles HOW can it be a wireless unit

    • @WeAreNotAlone69
      @WeAreNotAlone69 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Googles are WIRELESS... in that there is no wire being connected DIRECTLY to the camera. The wire you are referring to connects the goggles to transceiver and battery pack, transceiver talking to the transceiver the camera is connected to over a WIRELESS CONNECTION. Pros: Decoupled from weapon. No "wire" between weapon and operator. Ability most likely to connect to other imaging devices, dvr /recording devices (Limited I'm sure, but doable) Cons: Extra complexity (Failure point) Extra batteries (Weight, Expense) to deal with. I would think forgoing wireless would reduce expense weight, greatly extend run-time. Downside googles being tethered to scope.
