- Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra will have a totally new design. The first look reveals a Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra that's neither fully round nor completely square-it's like Samsung couldn't decide, so they went, "Why not both?" The Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra will also bring some positive additions to the Galaxy smartwatch lineup which are explained in the video.

I'm swapping out my 5 pro for it. Brighter, bigger battery. Faster, more efficient processor and battery. I just wish they dropped the bezel. I never used it, I swipe!!

I mean they could've just gave two design options. That would be wiser because there would be an option for everyone 🤷
there is an increase cost to manufacturing it. think about it. You need to have 2 of everything in the factory. two molds, two machines tuned to make those designs, etc etc
@@MuiKaHo Only the casing, the screen remain the same, still round, rotating bezels remain the same, the internal components would probably change but that also can be said with bigger and smaller models so no difference than before.

When making a niche watch, such as the ultra, you wouldn't make two designs, it's not cost effective. Seeing it's a limited high-end buyer.
Personally I'm a fan of the hybrid look. I like the square feeling on my wrist since it fits better. But I always loved the circular style for watches ⌚️ ^_^
although i prefer the more premium looking cicrular design, this one doesn't look too bad to me!
and it comes with a bigger battery so that's a plus
but hey samsung is actually doing something diffirent now, been a while lol

Honestly ... I think it looks premium AF. If it has blood sugar monitoring, I will not hand, but throw my money at them for this.
I'm following the leaks for so long time. I was hoping the ultra keeps the classic rotating bezel with full potential. Now they f surprised me 😮😮 circle on top of squire omg space for hardware + functionally for the users. They nailed it.
Btw, similar design can be found on Panerai watches. It looks luxury, don't be fooled by this imaginary concepts..
I had a gear sport and had no idea it wasn't perfectly round lol
My concern is the thickness. I prefer the round and the design is not all that bad if the battery and better process make the thickness worth it.

I feel like the hate is just a bandwagon because of a cat. Personality I think it looks unique & different, reminds me of Ben 10 too which is a great childhood.
Other than the visuals, it gives benefits for better battery & thats always welcomed. Just my opinion 😅
One thing that bugs me is the thicker bezels it comes with. They could've just made the display bigger instead.

Maybe if the four corners were action buttons? Think Timex / Casio....
Personally, I am obsessed with the square base round screen design, I really love it, and just because of the design, I'd be willing to upgrade from my perfectly fine watch 5

I think something like this could have worked if they had gone about this a little differently. Imagine, if you will, the overall shape of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. However, at the bottom and top of the circular display, it extends out to blend seamlessly into where it connects to the watch band. When only the watch face is displayed, the center rounded portion is all that is used, so it looks like a round display watch. When a different app is displayed, like a messaging conversation, the entire display lights up, taking advantage of the longer, more rectangular shape to display more information. Thus, the screen is a somewhat hybrid style: a rectangle that wraps slightly around the wrist and bulges circularly in the center. You would still lose the rotating bezel. However, I think the uniqueness of the overall design, somewhat accomplishing the round display watch and square body watch at the same time, makes up for that.
Great content. The watch looks nice. It has that cushion case design, and it looks somewhat like the watch worn by Jason Strachan in transpor. Panerai chronograph luminor. Nice watch. Wonder if they'll have it in stainless as we'll as black.
This looks good to me. I don't like fully square watches they look like phones on your wrist, but circular watches have a low profile. Also, square watches have more space in them, so this is the best of both worlds for me
It looks nice and likely with thst cushion style case the bands snap inside and will fit the wrist better

Probably so heavily invested in circular watch apps they coukdnt just make the jump to full square. Thicker and better battery will be ok for now and pair to my S series

it doesn't have to be round to be able to rotate if you segment it like a train, and the segments could work together with the snapping, each segment being one snap

There's also a referencing of classic watches with that shape that this one is paying tribute to. If you know watches then you'll know which ones they are taking inspiration from to achieve the bigger battery and more enhancements internally to achieve what we've wanted for a long time, beating the Apple Watch Ultra, much as the Galaxy Watch beats the Apple Watch; longer battery life across more than 3 days up to 5 days, better hardware supporting faster recharge, better radio comms, and supporting a more robust and durable build.
I'd give up rotating bezel for a square watch face so I can have more real estate for a screen. The reality is that they can still have a clicky toggle on the side of the watch to move up and down the screen on a square watch face.
Exactly, have the bezel on the classic. I'm a pro user and swipe. I'd take a square anyway to get more screen and function
To be honest, I actually like this new design. it feels more modern in the sense that its not too curvy. Not to mention it looks more normal when sitting on the side on standby mode.

Interestingly, I wonder if it's something to get used to. It does help the watch stand out from just another hur durr watch design without being too much like the apple watch.
I think time will tell, it's one of those things that looks odd but it might become a distinguishing factor. They are trying something new while not being too risky, this is ironically very a moderately conservative move.
I think we're so used to a status quo that anything different is off base, I'm curious how it'll turn out over time.😊
I'm hopeful that when I see the real thing, I'll like it more, especially since I'm thinking about getting it this year.
Samsung watches have had a programable shortcut button for years. Since they called them "Gear" instead of "Watch".

Samsung, Please just improve your GPS and heart rate sensors so they at least match Apple and Garmin for accuracy.
They should have just removed the rotating bezel and added a rotating crown. This doesnt look great. Hopefully theres at least a stainless steel color option maybe that looks better

The cool thing about design is that it's all about personal taste. I'm glad it works for you. I'm hopeful that when I see the real thing, I'll like it more, especially since I'm thinking about getting it this year.
@@TechTalkTV i much prefer a rugged smart watch ,the square back is probably to allow a bigger battery , im more excited about this than folding phones . I do like the mew look , weith the new processor, and upgraded speakers ill definitely be going for it. I hope it is bigger than 47mm . I would prefer the straps too have a fitting similar to the apple watch rather than pins .
My contentment lies in the fact that Samsung did not adopt the iPhone design as previously speculated.
Finally listening to the actual working class that afford the watch. Were less about form and more about function

I'm still going to go with Garmin in the smart watch department. I love Samsung, but this design looks like it stepped a few years back, not that it looks bad, just dosen't feel modern.
They just could have went and got the S Gear design and just updated it and I would have been okay with it...

Yeah i may have exaggerated somewhat when i said on X it was 'spawned in the bowels of hell'. Might actually look good worn on the wrist.....something has to be done to get more juice....One Plus went with the frying pan design....that thing is huge BUT it gives 3 days of battery life. Let's face it I did think the S series lately look like TV's...now I like it. What about the non ultra models.....any take on those?

It's better than the watch 5 Pro.! I hated that watch it look nice and small but I had a big glass ball on the back of it for the extra battery😂

Looks like Samsung's design meeting ended in a compromise: Team Circle and Team Square couldn't agree, so they just decided to make a watch that’s having an identity crisis.
Wont upgrade from 4 unless they give us a square version.
