Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra - Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra is finally coming. And now we even have the design of galaxy watch 7 ultra. But we are going to see one of tthe weird design on galaxy watch 7 ultra. Mainly a rounded display with a square body on galaxy watch 7 ultra.

Seriously, this is what I thought. But onleaks and smartprix. These guys have a good track record. So, expect a similar design. Also we are closer to the launch so, they migjt finalize this design
I like the combination of square / bigger body and rounded / smaller display), that in itself should make it last longer on a single charge, I don't care much about the design of the watch personally as smartwatches for me is merely a quality of life improvement and I don't care how it looks on my wrist that much tbh so I'm more into the better battery life it can bring. But I very much doubt that is going to be the size of the battery if they go for this design, should be good for like 650mAh at least one would think or like 3-5 days of normal use, 6-7 days or light useage or so perhaps when you factor in the new more efficient chip and potentially optimized software on top of that. Also if it's going for that design likely it will have the rotating bezel which obviously won't work with a square display. Guess the design choice would be down to being able to offer rotating bezel (finally please those who want both big battery and rotating bezel), don't have to make different software/UI for just one watch and it just further emphasizes the battery life aspect which is a huge reason people picks alternatives like Watch 5 Pro or this watch.

Watch 7 ultra will come with a larger, brighter and stronger display. Along with updates to the storage and ram configurations there will also be new features coming. The new health sensor will be the main focus along with the unimaginable battery life. We will get ultra level specs!

Why didn't they just go with a square display??
Don't know. Maybe because of the changes with a display and software. This way the display is rounded. So, they don't need to change much. And put bigger battery and more
They would have had to do a major overhaul on Wear OS in order for it to work.
@black79montecarlo123 it's only a matter of time until they realize that there is no other way. You can only increase a circular screen size soo much, but a square screen would increase screen space

It's strange who spends a lot of money on a watch that lasts 4 days on battery life I prefer to stay with a garmin
Garmin is awesome, I have the 965 but when it comes to "smart" functions Garmin is not even close.
The 7 ultra design is better amd and more rugged looking than the 6 classic
Ive watched four reviews of this watch and have heard three say 50% efficency increase with new processor and one say 20%. The other three note a 20% increase in speed from the processor.
I saw that coming, you know how Samsung is with trying out new designs. Just like the Samsung galaxy s6 edge

If this watch doesn't at least match the One Plus watch 2 it's DOA as far as I'm concerned.

I was really hoping for a square body. This is a really dumb design.
Ppl are complaining that they are upset it's not square!! If it was square then the trolls will say they copied apple, if it was round, ppl will say they want square!! So what did samsung do?, they made it a squarcle. News flash: samsung is known for innovation!! And this is it. Samsung is in a league of its own.

@@rindershow212 Actually I've been wanting Samsung to make a square body years ago. I remember they once had one but then they did away with it. It was in 2013 and the design was nicer then the apple watch. I'm surprised that they didn't stick to that one. I might be wrong but i think Samsung was first to have a square watch.
Its not about sticking with the square design. Like i was saying before, samsung is known for their innovations. For them to stick with the square design forever until now doesn't make sense for a company thats known for innovation. I would personally be unhappy if a manufacturer stuck with the same design of a product forever. That is unrealistic. Apple is always known to be boring across the board. Apple doesn't like to experiment with ideas nor do they listen to their customers. Samsung has done everything from square, curved displays, large and small phones, flip phones, folding phones, smart rings e.t.c . Samsung always hits its customers with the "wow" effect. Which is a good thing. No one wants a car that looks like the 20yr previous design, they need an upgrade to new body lines, new headlight design, new interior cluster e.t.c.
So for you to say you wish they stuck with square displays is unfair to a company that is always pushing the limits in tech!!. This is what we need.
Now we can have multiple watches at our disposal. One day i step out of the house with a round bezel watch,next day i can stap out with a round bezel watch with a rotating ring and the third day step out with a square bezel. I will have all these watches at my disposal, unlike apple with the same 40yr old design that all the apple zombies are wearing.

I always hated the look of Samsung watches. Don't like the traditional watch look at all and probably the main reason I kept boycotting buying one. Even my standard digital watches have all been square for decades. I want a smart watch that looks like mini phone or tab with as much screen real-estate as possible. Its kinda like turning my smart phone screen into a circle, doesn't make great sense to me. At the very least they should release a square and circular model for the people who prefer a round watch.
It wouldn't be cost-effective to release two niches watches. This design first came out in 2017 with the samsung Sport Watch. It's the rotating bezel crowd that forced this design. It's samsungs most dedicated buyer.

You're probably right. Not cost effective at all. That could also double the amount of watches in the range without even looking at colour differences.
I bet you the circular bezel potentially works even better than a square apple watch in real life....but I guarantee you most people who want a smart watch would prefer a square design purely for looks and for a little extra screen real estate. I am gonna hodl out until Samsung decide to create a square one and if this is the proposed squcircle design then you can clearly see they are slowly trying to move this way. Square shaped perhaps for the watch 8...
