does the vertical setup use ur mic and audio from the normal obs? or do you have to make new onnes

Okay Sam, I really need this help and I hope you read this. I have the plug in, and up until now I have made shorts with the phone app, but here's the issue.
Number One and a deal breaker. I need to be able to PAUSE the recording I'm making. At this point I can only see ways to start and stop the recording,
Also, I need a Maximum length timer. So that I never make anything more than one minute in length.
Are there any ways of doing either of these in the software I'm just missing ?

As far as I know, there is no way to just pause the recording inside of OBS. But is stopping the recording and starting a new one really a deal breaker? When you throw it into editing software, it's basically the same thing if not better. Also, the best way to do a maximum length timer would be through a flashback recording or a replay buffer inside of OBS. I would just suggest setting it for something like 1:30 or 2:00 so that you don't have to be 100% accurate as to when you call for the Replay Buffer, and can just trim it down in your editing software. Hopefully that helps :)
Your tutorial is from a camera source, I need a tutorial with already recorded footage. Do you have a link for converting already recorded footage?

nice one Sir. i dont yet shift to version 29. i am on version 27 and afraid of using higher versions of OBS. but the way you explain the canvass, I think I like to try the version 29 and the canvass for my shorts
A lot of people were nervous to update to OBS 29 due to plugin compatibility and what not, but honestly it's way better than people initially thought. I would definitely consider updating.

Thanks for that. Somehow the transitions don't work right with my vertical scenes. When I switch from A to B, it should use the transition set for B, but uses the transition I've set for A.

Not all mics are created equal. It's the Elgato Wave:3. It's a condenser mic with a SUPER high quality capsule on the inside. 10/10 would recommend.

I loaded it it worked then when I shut the computer came back turn it on it’s opening up the old way I don’t see the vertical anymore
You can check your docks tab. Otherwise, I'm not sure what might have happened. Just double check you installation path.

It's OBS Portable mode.
Won't the resolution suffer as a result of enlarging it like that?
Yes. But no matter how you zoom in, resolution is going to take a hit. This just makes it easier to zoom than doing it in post.

Hi, nice video. For some reason I am not able to stream on TikTok with the vertical obs plug in. I put my server key and stream key in the right slots, but always get an invalid message or nothing shows up on my TikTok stream. I am running OBS 29.0.2 and Aitum 1.0.4. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The only problem that i have is using the same camera for my vertical source :/ it only appears on my horizontal. Can i not use the same camera for horizontal and vertical Idk if theres a setting i need to change
In your vertical canvas sources list, over over the type of source you want to add and a pop out should show up with a list of sources from your horizontal sources. That way you can add the same cam in your vertical sources that you're using in your horizontal sources. Hope that helps! If not let me know.

when i view the video i made on PC, the aspect is all messed up
it doesn't transfer over to the 9:16 ratio either for some reason
Have anybody else notice that the audio sync/delay is different in vertical if you compare it to horizontal. Can this be fixed somehow...?

does it now show all of whatever the capture card is showing? I've seen shorts and tiktoks where it shows all of the window of the capture card and the streamer ontop
You can adjust the size of the sources to show as much or as little as you want :)
@@thesalta72 I'm finding it difficult to adjust it to capture the whole gameplay. Does this always have like a zoomed in effect?
@@CalveZilla9 if you make the size of the source smaller, it will fit more of the source on the canvas.
hy i used aitum for 5 months but now i cant record anymore bacause an error (An encoding error occurred while recording )
Try updating the plugin by going to the Autumn website and downloading it again. If that doesn't solve the problem, try uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling it.

How to make obs virtual camera from phone?
Virtual Camera that is just built in to OBS will take the whole current scene. If you want to do just the DroidCam source, you'll need the virtual Camera plugin by exceldro which adds the virtual Camera filter that you can then enable on the DroidCam source.

anyone know if the gameplay capture for vertical formats always has a zoomed in effect because i cant seem to make it fit perfectly for vertical without having to stretch it or zoom?
Unless you're playing a vertical format game, the aspect ratio is going to be flipped. So you will need to make the game small enough to fit into the vertical canvas.
