Hey guys, back with another Borderlands 2 video and today I want to go over what I think are some of the Best Guns, Weapons And Gear are for Krieg the Psycho in Borderlands 2. These Top 10 Items are definitely my favorites!

Playing as krieg made me think that they should put melee weapons in the game
melee weapon slot in BL3 confirmed?!
Hell yeah! I want melee weapons in BL3. Not a specific melee weapon slot but actual melee weapons that you equip on your weapon slots. I could already see Sledge's Hammer being a legendary 2-handed Hammer.
Brewserker or a giant badass sword.
Melee krieg is awesome against the majority of mob ennemies.

As a hellborn krieg, I’ve always had a problem with how nearly every fire gun gets outshined by the Harold
A Harold is just the perfect Kreig weapon.
Krieg is the best class, underrated like fuck.

Kreig is honestly underrated as fuck, he has so many different builds and can be so fuckin op long as u keep stacks and kill skills, I was just playing around with him today and fire rate capped stuff like the heart breaker and tabnia

These gear should be on list if you want to present what is actually best or unique for Krieg :
Legendary Reaper Class Mod - best team COM in game and one of the best if not the best COM for Krieg's solo play
Rough Rider shield - equal to Flame of the Firehawk in terms of utility
Carnage shotgun - very strong on Krieg
Fastball - super strong on Krieg plus you won't run out of grenade ammo because Bloodbath
Blood of the Ancients Relic - more health and more ammo capacity its always good for Krieg
Javelineer Tediore Rocket Launcher - with it you can throw Tediore reloads for days and not even shoot once
Fire Storm - really strong on Hellborn Krieg
legendary reaper is only best for gun kriegs. some of us just want to rampage
Yes its best for guns. But still you can make pretty good melee setup with it. Double kill skill time duration is always very helpful.

bew_ My favorite Krieg build is the Flesh Crunch. A Rough Rider, Grog, Harold, explosive Fastball, and an explosive relic and you can destroy any mob in a flash. Just slag one smaller enemy with the Grog, throw a Fastball, and everything on screen explodes. Somehow this is hilarious to me (I main Maya, so yeah, totally different playstyle for me). I like to try to surround myself with as many enemies as possible and then make it my goal just try to bloodslode them all. This build does struggle with raid bosses and on the Peak with Saturn, but still, fun build. You literally almost never run out of grenades. The Reaper COM was also one that I cannot believe was not on this list. Potential 99% buff to kill skills - if you want to be a big hit with your friends, play with this! I played as Axton the other day with a friend who was a Reaper Krieg and good lord, the duration of Onslaught and Metal Storm is just insane - you can absolutely destroy everything! Definitely best team COM in the game, IMO.

Do you know how many perks are active for Krieg when he has no Shield up, and all the health you get from it
you are implying that you think quantity is better than quality when its not in facts its the other way around

@@billcipher3180 it is a really good shield and the flame of the firehawks effect cancels out while the shield recharges and has to reactivate it's nova by fully recharging
I find that the Rough Rider is the most important Shield for any Meleekrieg.. There is no way around when you wear FotF with Pure Melee you just die
Krieg's my absolute favorite character, even though he may be harder to play (melee) in easier difficulties, his voice lines and personality makes up for all of that in my opinion.

Bloodlust: yes get a crush mod and spec for explosives and slag. farm for ogre and unkempt harold.
Hellborn: set everything on fire. spec for burn damage and mods, burn and health relics.

Beckham ive mainly played mania kreig since release but ive been running strictly hellborn lately and it makes me wish kreig was in BL1

3:28 Yes, there somewhat is. In the Scarlett DLC, there is a mission on the Oasis bounty board where you have to kill a bullymong named Grendel. Upon completing the quest, you are given a choice of 2 blue rarity class mods, and one of them could be a crunch class mod.
But you don't NEED a dlc it just makes it more convenient

A bit of a build for Krieg that I've found to be really effective.
The Rough Rider (shield): 0 capacity, but provides a 20% resistance to all damage, and increases health. This also means that skills that ride off of not having shield left are *always active.* Not to mention that things that ride off of you taking damage (namely Salt the Wound) are much more effective, as you'll always be taking health damage.
Blood of Terramorphous (relic): A big boost to regeneration? Good for any character - but for Krieg, who's all about getting right into the center of the action, and taking lots of damage (and doling out even more damage)? This is awesome - especially when paired with the aforementioned shield. Alternatively, the Blood of the Seraphs relic works equally as well.
The build is largely reliant on the Mania tree, and skills that rely on not having a shield, or taking health damage.
Snake health regen normally doesn't matter because you're going to be using the grog nozzle if you're actually trying to be effective. Just using .. ANY relic would almost be better.

If Krieg had the Bloodlust stacking skill and a Butcher, he can basically get long lasting ammo if he has 55+ stacked Bloodlust points. Quick tip.

I do really enjoy Krieg. I main Salvador because millions of bullets on the screen at once is the only way i can get an erection anymore(link to my gofundme for this horrible condition below). He's really fun, and he's really the only character comparable to Salvador in damage output and survivability in OP8.
Flame of the firehawk only works so well with krieg because he's constantly keeping the shield down by inflicting dot which in turn increases the chances of lighting himself on fire and stalling the delay through Burn, Baby, Burn, and Fuel the Fire. Dodging an inflammable one is p much imperative to krieg using it, not because he doesn't gain benefits from being on fire, but that he can't sustain the nova bursts while he isn't on fire

with blood bath, crunch class mod, and strip the flesh you can kill most enemies in 1 shot and have a decent chance of getting the grenade back

I'm really, really sorry for bringing this into play (because it's mainstream) but Kreig is phenomenal with the Fastball, the Blood Bath skill, and Bloodsplosion. It is by far my favorite and most fun / satisfying build to play as in all of Borderlands, and I'm really damn disappointed I didn't see it on the list...
No worries, yes, the Fastball is amazing on Krieg, but Axton can boost grenade damage a LOT more than Krieg, so its better on Axton

A really good one is farming Uranus in the Commander Lilith DLC
The Firehawk shield with the Mania and Hellborne skill tree.
Fast ball would have been a nice addition to the list.

when i play explosive krieg, i personally prefer the kerblaster and the carnage or swordsplosion. don't get why they weren't here, they're pretty great guns.

He made a video about best weapons which benefit from grenade damage(the swordsplosion) so he didn't include it here,the kerblaster was also mentioned in other videos as a good alternative but with low ammo efficency, and I don't remember hearing him talk about the carnage,but since it doesn't get grenade damage bonus he doesn't use it on explosive krieg,since he loves weapons that get grenade damage bonuses.
The kerblaster is probably the top AR for explosive Krieg. I like it better than the Harold on him because you always proc blood bath and the damage goes nuts with explosive boosts.
I have Crieg and Explosive guns are great I have the slippery pocket rocket and the kerblaster. For a level 48 tvhm crieg the psycho I have nothing on hellborn so I'm working on bloodsplotion im half way through bloodsplotion and I'm done with mania and I'm almost to the money cap so I'm doing good!!!
I personally love the a Fire Norfleet on Krieg, Shock on Gaige, and Corrosive on Axton and Maya! I do like the Greed on him to. I even like the fire Omen Shotgun as well!
Best gear for Krieg is NO GEAR!!! I've played up to OP8 with Krieg without using gear or weapons and it was a blast.

Imo legendary reaper is kriegs best mod, 15 second kill skills for the whole team and +5 to blood bath are ridiculous

I'm interested as to why the Hide of Terramorphous wasn't on this list, given its fire nova and roid damage. Just wondering, but I might pick up a Flame of the Firehawk if my Hide doesn't synergize well with my build.
Devastatin Flood the nova is one-time unlike Flame of the Firehawk. A melee Krieg would do very well with the Hide and Bloodsplosion, although healing against boss/thick enemies would be an issue

Vinylic,can you show a digistruct peak (no op levels) build for him? I get stuck even with drunk hive, javenahailer(cant spell right) build and all that, please show one if possible, or tell me what to do.
*Hears of ogre’s obtainment method* yeah no offense but I regret going to the badass round because let’s face it Murderlin’s temple is a badly design area as the traps on the floor aren’t really that much of a good idea as it makes the map way more chaotic in a negative way as one mistep can make you lose the round. That and it makes the pace slow down with the spikes and the area is way too cramped with out of bounds areas that you can get knocked into. That and the waves between rounds take so long that the total time it can take is 15min, plus if you die to the badass only waves...yeah goodluck recovering. The cherry on top? Murderlin is so god damn annoying I wished that their was a way to shut him up.

The orphan maker is insane on krieg, in my opinion.
Almost all of these weapons are for hellborn or bloodlust builds but mania/bloodlust is probably the best build for krieg... you need to respec dude
No hide of teramorphous shield? Gives him the most melee dmg possible and a nova, woulda thought it would be on here for sure along with a hellfire to further increase kriegs fire dmg output

Krieg is one character I could play without using the action skill. I don't really like melee.
If we are talking guns and items that the character specifically either makes great or find extremely important, I'd immediately kick out the Kitten, Creamer and Heartbreaker. They are GREAT weapons for him, but they aren't special, which I believe VPG is going for.
List needs the Stormfront, Rough Rider, Legendary Reaper. The Tediore E-tech launcher, Fastball and Ravager are also a much better fit.

Because melee Kreig using Roid shields if you're specced in StV will kill you if it procs and only bladed weapons benefits significantly from roid damage which Kreig does not need when in Buzzaxe rampage. People playing melee Kreig like a melee Zer0 are scrubs who doesn't know the difference between Krieg's melee damage formula from Zer0's melee damage formula.
@@zombieboy3000 Well yeah you don't need a roid shield with Krieg but remember slag helps especially with Krieg so a grog or slag rubi can help, plus while the rapier can be good on Krieg also you don't really need it since it's also a low percent if u get a slag rapier, So while it's true u don't need a rapier but a rubi or grog can definitely help.
@@sgtjasonbond You barely need slag and moxxi weapons for mobbing with a RtB Kreig, because you'll be in melee rampage mode 99% of the time, that remaining 1% is you trying to get to 30% hp to trigger RtB again the best slagging tool for Kreig is a magic missile and that's really pushing it because every second you spend outside RtB the more likely you'll die because you're wearing a rough rider which is specifically equipped to extend Kreig's HP to make sure you're not health gated everytime a stray bullet hits you in op8. Raiding with Kreig is a completely different story though...
A Rapier or any Melee attachment screws up Kreigs damage formula, once you get to max level it's better to not use any weapon if you're going for 100% RtB uptime than any bladed weapons, a roughrider is more important than any gun or shield you can possibly think of. Anyways, If you're meleeing with Kreig outside of buzzaxe rampage then you're doing something wrong.
@@sgtjasonbond I've played countless hours of melee Kreig and never once I killed myself with StV while wearing a rough rider in op8. NEVER ONCE, enemies are much much more likely to kill you in RtB than StV, the chances are literally astronomical that StV kills you unless you're an idiot at playing Melee Kreig, StV does barely an inch of health damage when you're in RtB with a rough rider, it's not even a debate. Stop it it's not funny. Also again, if you're wasting your time slagging enemies with moxxi weapons then you're not playing Kreig properly, because RtB's transformation makes you invulnerable and it allows you to close the gap between you and the enemies while trying to get to 30% and in turn land perfectly infront of them with 100% HP, I'll concede that you sometimes need to slag BUT! you slag before engaging a fight with a magic missile or a slagga spam from long range then proceed to trigger RtB with the enemy damage, that's literally the only time, and moxxi weapons will screw up your health management, lifesteal is infact the worst thing a melee kreig could ever have when he's outside RtB. There are very few chances you get in a middle of a fight to lifesteal with a moxxi weapon when you're outside of RtB, moxxi's are for elemental krieg, not melee. Also It's impossible to solo raid on OP8 with melee kreig because his damage comes from alternating from Melee strikes and Axe throws and mostly chaining bloodsplosion, it's not that players aren't masochistic enough to do it but it is literally impossible.
Kreig can clear entire maps flawlessly with just a low level slagga as a main weapon, a low level magic missile for seeking slag, a Leg Sickle and an adequate rough rider. Anything outside of those is completely and utterly pointless.

Krieg Is effective with me. Build Explosion. Herald, Seeker/Kerblaster, Grog Nozzle, Badaboom. Firehawk/Deadly Bloom, Fastball/Meteor Shower, Flesh Crunch Mod with +6 in Strip Flesh , Explosion Relic. Add Bloodsplosion and Voilà. The Walkthrough becomes a Roundtrip and by the way, Buzz Axe Rampage anytime

Hey VPG have you seen Joltzdude's video on tediore launchers for Krieg? Tediore launchers don't use ammo on throwing and so with his magazine size improvement he can just throw them over and over as long as he gains stacks
No grog, no rough rider? Where 2 best shotguns for krieg? And while DPUH is good on everyone, its VERY good on Krieg, so... Also, Kerblaster? What about best grenade - fastball?You are not really a good Krieg player.

This list honestly felt kinda biased to Hellborn Krieg... I play a Mania Krieg, and I like playing him with the Rapier, Law and Order, and mostly shotguns. I like to get in the middle of things and deal as much damage as possible, so seeing things like Flame of the Firehawk and the Kitten felt really biased towards Hellborn. There’s other play styles, my guy.
I use fire Confrence Call, Double Unkempt Herald, Grog Nozel, and the bandit legendary rocket launcher, with legendary Pyro class mod and increased fire dmg and reduced cooldown on my e-tech relic, with the flame of the firehawk shield, I am unstoppable when I'm on fire.
This list felt kinda incomplete without the Fastball. Krieg is the only character I know who can run through Bloodshot Barracks and wipe out everybody on OP8 using nothing but grenades...or at least, almost nothing but grenades.
Diesel Sickle is the best mod for any >57 Krieg, have an explosive fastball and get bloodsplosion and RTB and boom OP explosions (the added grenade damage applies to BAR as well as the added explosive damage)

What about the slag rapier and love thumper combo. I have a level 72 krieg on my 360 and i use a level 54 slag rapier(for slagging and the 200% melee damage bonus) to mop the floor with mobs on uvhm. I would get a better one, but i don't want to restart uvhm.
I also always keep 3 skill points minimum in fuel the fire for the over 100% elemental effect chance after a kill.
