Dont do it yet. - Finish "A train to catch" - Once sanctuary flies away, enter 'Sancturary Hole' and go to the 'Caustic Caverns' - Farm 'Mutaed Badass Varkids' from 'Mighty Morphin' until lvl 16. Only pick the original dropped sample to not finish the quest. lvl 16 -> Thrill of the Kill lvl 17 - 20 -> Light the Fuse/Strip the flesh lvl 21 -> Redeem the Soul - Continue story until back at 'Sancturary'. Talk to Rolland to finish 'Brigth Lights, Flying city' - Go to Sanctuary's bouty board and pick 'Clan Wars: Starting the War'. - Continue this quest line until 'Clan Wars: Zafords vs. Hoduks'. Dont pick it yet - Travel to 'Linchwood' to activate the fast travel. Go back and pick the 'Clan Wars' missions - Travel back to Linchwood, then to The Dust through the train waipoint to spawn in the middle of the showgun - Farm Jimbo for a Slagga first, then Mick for a Mag. Dont wipe the whole family or the mission will finish (kill just Jimbo or Mick) - Farm either families until lvl 21. - At 21, do 'Wildlife Preservation' mission. Pick 'Doctor's Orders' to farm midgets lvl 22 - 25 -> Feed the meat - Go through the story until 'On The Once and Future Slab'. Take the rocket launcher reward if melee dmg is already good. - Farm 'Mutaed Badass Varkids' on 'Caustic Caverns' until lvl 24 - Go back to 'Thousand Cuts' for the mission 'Where Angels Fear to Tread' (corrosive weapons are a good call here) - After finishing the quest and being teleported to 'Sanctuary'. Farm 'Mutaed Badass Varkids' on 'Caustic Caverns' until lvl 26 lvl 26 -30 -> Silence the voices OR Salt the Wounds x4 and Feed the meat x1 - At 26, continue story until 'Tail and Trouble'. After reaching the Boneward, farm 'Mutaed Badass Varkids' on 'Caustic Caverns' until lvl 28. - At 28, go back to Boneward and continue quest 'Data Mining'. When you reach the area in Badlands, pick up the quest 'Uncle Teddy' on the bounty board. Farm a non-fire 'Lady Fist'. - Continue 'Data Mining' until you get to 'Saturn'. Kill or run past it. After you reach the terminal, go back to 'Sanctuary' and finish the mission. - Finish the story and complete story mode by killing 'Jack' and 'the Warrior'.

there are a bunch of skills that krieg has that require your shield to be down which is why the rough rider is a very good shield for krieg, it gives you a shield with a maximum amount of zero but it does give you a bunch of extra hp

Thanks! I'm gonna run a poll after either the Krieg TVHM or UVHM video for the next character. Zero was second when I ran the poll that Krieg won so there's a chance he'll be next
It's a good shield but I don't take any shield recharge delay skills until a higher level where it wouldn't be that good. It's great late game for hellborn krieg though
Mutated varkids are generally seen as better because they're a faster farm (spawn in Caustic Caverns, walk forward, Sky Rocket), that gives more experience overall if you can get a lot of mutated varkids at once, and while it doesn't give any legendaries it's much quicker to do
After completeing an out of body experience and choosing to see marcus to get the shotgun 1340, hisrock paper genocide questline is an easy ~2700 xp. You can do it anytime
Be careful when killing Bloodwing. As tempting as it is to spam skyrockets at her, "killing" her before she can complete a transformation can cause her to bug out and not complete the transformation, also causing her to not take any more damage and therefore make the encounter impossible to complete. (Also annoying is listening to Handsome Jack repeat, "Corrosive! Electricity, Corrosive! Electricity," ad infinitum.) The only way out appears to be saving and quitting to reset her, and forces you to run the entire gauntlet to her arena again. Even killing yourself only resets her health bar, but she'll still be hovering in the air and not doing anything or taking any damage. (Yes, all this literally just happened to me. There are examples of others experiencing this on TH-cam.)
Starting to feel like the game wants me to play as Krieg with the luck I'm having. Got an unkempt harold on my first try and it only took me 4 tries to get an explosive fastball. Hope it continues for the rest of my playthrough lol
This is my first Krieg ever and so far i enjoy it. But i have found a semi easier leveling over the varkids. If you pick up and complete The Good, The Bad, and The Mordecai side quest in sactuary the dust scales with the story level too and you could get a Veruc and Lyudmila. I found it easier and you get about just as much xp.
Saturn is not hard to kill with a corrosive rocket launcher. Just run out to the right behind the building that has the gun crate on the roof and use the building to block his attacks. Step out and unload the rocket launcher, then step back into cover while reloading. Rinse and repeat until it falls.
I do prefer to do all the side missions before starting to go after Boom Bewm. Easy XP, a chance for a decent starter weapon and something strong in the Boom Bewm boss fight. Not completely necessary, but helpful in the short run. It also levels you up for Flynt.
Kriegs based around. Blue tree. A flakker with a rough rider. Red tree. Flame of the firehawk and heart breaker Green tree. Going back to farm under levelled grenades to stack for bloodsplosions.
if you aren't going to do scarlet dlc at the end of NVHM you should immediately go there at level 14-15 and pick up the orphan maker for krieg. it's not only a great shotgun but will help keep him rampaging and/or rpided. And it just takes a couple minutes to get it, no farming needed quest reward. I'dalso consider respecing into feed the meat if you do get it. So it's easier to maintain life hen rampaging and the shield down when not. Actually maybe 15 on the varkids in tundra, then after completing the train instead of caustic caverns just go do the very first part of scarlet DLC. You can pick up the rapier and the orphan maker right near the beginning of it.
*Disclaimer: I have not fully watched the video yet as of **12:59** PDT on June 4th so I do not know if this is mentioned. If it is not mentioned, disregard.* The Sheriff’s Badge pistol buffs actually buffs Buzz Axe Rampage because the game treats the buzz axe as a Tan (Ammo) rarity Bandit pistol. Using the Sheriff’s Badge will increase throwing speed and damage.
Just finished Normal, want badly to jump into TVHM! Can't wait for Part 2! My only big complaint with Krieg is how often the screen gets obscured, making melee really difficult at times since I can't see what I'm swinging at! Light the Fuse is also a bit frustrating. It's great to be able to move at regular speed, but the sticks of dynamite don't seem to do much damage (certainly when compared to pulling out a launcher, which I never equip anymore because of LtF), and I'll be lucky to get an enemy down far enough for my final self-immolation to kill. I guess I could throw that point into Strip the Flesh 4, but I did stick it out this long.
Just wait until you get a flame of the firehawk 😀 For real though, I feel that was more of a design thing to make you feel like you were actually going insane. Light the fuse becomes better with fuel the blood in the bloodlust tree, but again if yo're not a fan of it, then I wouldn't recommend using it. It's just a fun skill that I though people should try for themselves.
"silence the voices" = 12% chance to hit yourself when you melee chance to hit yourself 3 times in a row: 0.12 * 0.12 * 0.12 = 0.001728 If my math is correct, then the outcome at 1:25 is only gonna happen 0.1728% of the time.
Your math is correct, but I believe the chance is calculated every time you click your mouse or hit the button to swing your axe, rather than when you actually swing your axe. So I hit myself 3 times in a row, but in reality I probably clicked the button many more times than that. I think that's the reason that you see so many chains where you smack yourself in the head.
@@artigonx610 It's kind of hard to explain, but this is my understanding of how this works. It's a 12% chance every time you melee with every swing being independent. But while I'm in the animation of hitting myself, I might hit the button twice then once more and I can proc it again. We don't know what would've happened on those two hits, but let's say I swing a fourth time and then hit myself again. I would've swung four times, hitting myself twice. So it seems like two hits in a row, which would happen 1.44% of the time, but in reality it's 4 swings and we have no idea what those middle two swings would've been. When I hit myself 3 times in a row, I could've hit the melee button 10 times or more during that time. The best thing to do with STV would be to avoid mashing melee and get into a rhythm.
id like to add i love running blister comm with +Bloodbath with explosive fastball and strip the flesh you can basically chuck grenades all day one shotting mobs on normal mode
I find Krieg a blast to play while mobbing early game. Not looking foward to fighting bosses of melee range rendering the action skill useless especially raids
What perfect timing! I just installed BL2 for the first time and am opting for a coop run w melee krieg, and this guide is effing perfect. One quick question for you: are sidequests worth it? You mention running story through to certain checkpoints, but (outside of the explicitly stated ones) are side quests worth the time? Oh, and what about badass token usage? Do those really matter at all? E: Also, subbed :) Thanks for the vid
If it's your first time playing, I wouldn't worry about following the checkpoints. The build here will be fine but this is a pretty grindy way to get through your first playthrough. Side quests will give you other guns to try and xp that will make up for not doing some of these farms. But in general, side quests just take up more time and are not as efficient for quick xp as farming is. Badass token can help a little bit, but the bonuses become smaller the more tokens you use. The only stat that would be bad to upgrade is shield recharge delay, and that's only if you're using a roid shield on zero or playing Krieg. All others are fine.
@@agentlomax Thanks for the reply! As a gamer raised on diablo 2, I honestly don't mind the grind--it's almost meditative for me. I'll try to hop on your stream tonight as well and say hey!
@@tbonemalone4454 Man I'm trying to find someone to play with Since I want to buy the lilith dlc but no friend of mine wants to. If u wanna play I can give u my nick
I am curious why you didn't speck into feed the meat early on, from level 10-15. This may be my personal preference, but feed the meet plus a raid shield was my go to combo for a lot of normal mode. Is it more beneficial to grab damage first and foremost and leave it till TVHM?
There's no one way to do it, I just took fuel the rampage for getting back buzz axe rampage back faster. You can probably get by with either, but some people may have a hard time with the fact that their shield will be down longer.
Do you recommend using Read-Only farming of Savage Lee or other kill-farms to avoid leveling up too high? I'm already halfway through 11 on Krieg and still no UH drop. I suppose it just means less Mutated Varkid XP farming later, otherwise.
I accidently took the final clan wars mission before traveling to lynchwood. Is there still a way there? Or did I fricked it and I ha e to go from ellies to there everytime?
Gear is my biggest problem with Krieg. Weapons and leveling is easy. UnKept Harold and Infinity pistols get you through most of normal mode. He is always super fragile for me.
Hmmm, why no Law and Order? You get both basically for free, and they are awesome if you want to melee outside of rampage. Also, you can cheese some of the more annoying enemies (e.g. Saturn) with these items.
There's no reason you can't get them because they're easy to get, but I didn't think they were necessary. I actually did pick up the law in this run but I barely used it
Hope you reply what should I do to get to 21 I accidentaly wiped out one of the families and I'm only lvl 18 Edit: nevermind the guys respawned after I reloaded the game farming them again now

Just started borderlands 2 in honor of buying 3 thanks for the tips!
Glad I could help!
Krieg my love ❤❤❤.
That Harold grind wasn’t too bad I got one in the end :,)
id like to add i love running blister comm with +Bloodbath with explosive fastball and strip the flesh you can basically chuck grenades all day one shotting mobs on normal mode
Yea fastball builds are super fun
5 years late but does farming an enemy just entail quitting to mm and going back in after killing it?
I like now when he recommended torgue shotguns he showed a three way hulk LOL
I just picked a gun card of a random torgue shotgun
@@ardart1613. Mine name is
Wonka on steam.
Also, you don't want to restart the quick travel station at the abandoned gas stop
Really enjoyed these. Wish you wouldve finished them
Where is part 3? Are you going to make it. I’m playing through as kreig now and found this helpful but noticed you only have 2 videos.
thx for the video!
started a krieg bandit allegiance run so altho im not gonna follow this to the letter nice to have a basic idea of wot to do
Great video
Good to see another poop train conductor guide and a recent one too
Thank you 😀
Still waiting for more!
For bunker i would recommend any element lyuda and hit its top eye and it should die quickly
I get pull the pin early on so it’s easier getting out of light the fuse
I’m 2023 all the legendary weapons I was told to farm in this video always dropped as bladed
Hey! Really like this and Gaige series.
Any chance you could something similar for other B2 characters?
Yeah I'm kinda late to this game XD
I forget the music in the beginning of the video
Playing like this takes the fun out of the game so much I understand people who would like to do this but it makes the game so grindy
It's more for power leveling if someone doesn't want to spend a bunch of time grinding sidequests. Everyone is free to play the way they want to
looks awsome cant wait to play this build
I was just thinking I want to make a kreig build
Thank you so much.
Thank you for the tip
wait I thought the handsome collection doesn't include the Sanctuary DLC? cause I dont have it.
Thank you
I love your guids greetings from Germany
Thanks! Glad you like them 😀
Is Hellborn or melee more effectife?
Do you recommend using Read-Only farming of Savage Lee or other kill-farms to avoid leveling up too high? I'm already halfway through 11 on Krieg and still no UH drop. I suppose it just means less Mutated Varkid XP farming later, otherwise.
I wouldn't worry about read only farming in normal or tvhm unless you're going for a quest reward. More xp isn't a bad thing :)
can anyone make a list of what he says, like, which skills too add too until which levels, etc?
I mostly have a elemental melee build. But I’m running into issues in TVHM with my pyro build
17:32 after i get to level 21 and got both the slagga and maggie, should i just end the quest?
Contraband Skyrocket is OP for most of the game 😂
I accidently took the final clan wars mission before traveling to lynchwood. Is there still a way there? Or did I fricked it and I ha e to go from ellies to there everytime?
Is leveling using the clan war really good? It takes so long just to get the war started
Not sure if you will reply, but do you do all the missions?
the handsome collection doesent come with commander lillath heads up so like me you will be starting at lvl 1 xD
Are you doing all side quests or just the ones you specify?
Gear is my biggest problem with Krieg. Weapons and leveling is easy. UnKept Harold and Infinity pistols get you through most of normal mode. He is always super fragile for me.
Hmmm, why no Law and Order? You get both basically for free, and they are awesome if you want to melee outside of rampage. Also, you can cheese some of the more annoying enemies (e.g. Saturn) with these items.
There's no reason you can't get them because they're easy to get, but I didn't think they were necessary. I actually did pick up the law in this run but I barely used it
Hope you reply what should I do to get to 21 I accidentaly wiped out one of the families and I'm only lvl 18
Edit: nevermind the guys respawned after I reloaded the game farming them again now
Yes time to show who the strongest character is
Juliane Perez this video’s about krieg not salvador
Wayne King fair fair but I'm my opinion kreih is the funniest out of all and he is strongest to me
Juliane Perez without glitches then maybe. Pimperhab is insane
Melee Krieg is the only Krieg.
But with axton
Is there anything I can do if I pick up too many of the samples?
Can we have a similar video for each character? Im interested in your methods
That's my plan 🙂
Gaige is done already, but with BL3 coming out in less that 3 weeks, it might take me a while to get through all of them
@@agentlomax nice man, cant wait to see them
It didn't come with the fight for Secretary dlc
Does this apply to other characters too?
I love these vids man I'm currently working on krieg myself but one thing I have to say your voice is kinda low at first I thought it was my speakers but besides that amazing video man
Yea I've been fiddling with mic settings over the last few days. I tried to bump it up a little more in this one but it probably wasn't enough
Would anyone happen to know what song is playing at 20:39? I’m trying to find it on the official soundtrack on iTunes.
18:43 can someone explain how he went over the maximum on the first skill 7/5?
Class mods
I had died so many times that by the time I killed the warrior I am level 31
Do I need the dlcs for this?
Does anyone know if there's a guide like this for BL3?
