Actually that's not that good, maya can achieve a highter dps by using the binder class mod wich gives CD rate but also points into the reaper skill and suspension

I'm currently using a full SMG build containing: Non-Elemental Actualizer Hellfire Florentine Corrosive Tattler It's lots of fun, and it works pretty well as well.

I find it interesting that you didn't mention the Blurred Trickster Com. It's one of her most prevalent builds and the Com itself boosts some really good skills.
Cat class mod is cool, but i prefer the Cld/GunDmg class mod. I feel it has more versitality than the Cat. I like overall dmg with guns rather than flat dmg with one gun. Cooldown maya is also fun, getting phaselock every 7 sec is awesome for CC and skill dps boost.
Is Maya just a strong early game character or is she pretty strong through all playthroughs? Cause I've started a normal playthrough with her for the first time and I'm just obliterating everything, it's crazy.
Cloud kill starts to be useless at UVHM and It's way harder with her to kill raid bosses, but she's quite Nice to play, hoewer after reaching lvl 62 i got bored of phaselocking stuff and made a new gunzerker. :p
The lady fist literally one shots everything, I made a sniper build using the Lawfully Evil Cleric mod , using the solo build you use for maya , all that crit damage , fire rate , and near perfect accuracy , it’s OP on any level .
Coming back to b2 after watching the video of a guy beating OP levels on kreig. I was not able to get deep into the uvhm mode because im undergeared, so this video is still helpful today! Thanks mate

It is ABSURD that there are only 5 legendary SMGs in BL2. I mean.....wtf? Granted, there are some great uniques like Sandhawk or the Orc.....but man, there should have been so many more.

Yeah good touch is generally better than the hellfire, and a lot easier to obtain. But as far as plasma casters go, statistically speaking they outperform the hellfire, and come in every element sans explosive rather than being pigeon holed into only fire. As far as ammo goes, yeah the hellfire is more efficient, but ammo drops so much in uvhm it's rarely an issue. The hellfire isn't a bad gun, but there are better smg's.

lol i learned a lot from derch. i reset uvhm on op8 and used his twisted pimp build to steamroll through the game. that's why i think the title of this video is misleading. i think puma didn't want to be predictable with this list, he probably should have titled it "top 10 underrated..." rather than "best." some of his list objectively is not the best gear for maya. that's why plasma casters are on my list, even though i don't particularly care for them.

I mean, Pimpernel is just one of those 'all around best' snipers. By the convention of the series, such guns will only show up in the list of the person who they are absolutely the best on (which is why Maya gets the Sandhawk, her kit is the best for getting value out of it). Zer0's kit is better for getting value from the Pimpernel, with its multi-crit potential and his critical hit based abilities.
IMO the pimp is the absolute best gun for Maya. Sure, Zero can get more out of it, but one trigger pull can put down ultimate badasses when you've got them slagged in phaselock. Sure beehawking is op, but wearing the bee sacrifices a lot of survivability for the sake of killing slightly faster.
Using a dahl can be easy y’all, You scope in, pull the trigger then scope out. Kinda like a quick scope, you just hold the scope a little longer for however many bullets you wanna use. Dahls snipers are sick, what learned to master them
In my second run as Maya I have had some success using a slag sniper at range that has about a 80% chance to slag the target which doesn't sound like much but if you have the skill where she does corrosive damage to the target it pretty much one shots some enemies because the slag amplifies the corrosive damage.
Can't remember the name of it but its just one of those blue quality ones that you can have drop from loot chest or enemies the Morningstar sniper if you get it with slag element does have a good chance to slag but also badass rank and what skills you put your points in do effect the chance for elemental effects to be applied to a target. Maya and Gaige both have skills that boost elemental effect chance @@RemingtonSteel

torgue explosives gun is friggin good with maya bc if you unlocked the skill that makes other enemies get towards the enemies that is phase locked u can damage alll enemies that close to it but since torgue its not accurrate so thats a 50/50

I used the Blockhead on Gaige and I wasn't impressed. The projectiles were really slow. The Twister might be good but I haven't used it yet. I was going for a pure anarchy build, guns that you can just fire indiscriminately and kill everything in a 10 meter radius. Speaking of which, the Antagonist shield is great in her, way better than the Bee.
unless you are running a very niche build you are throwing them away for three reasons 1. weak buffs 2. u can get stronger skills. 3. you are already having class mod boosting those so you shall concentrate elsewhere. accelerate in particular is a miniscule buff and i'd never take it if class mod did not give me the boost, you do not need bulletspeed unless you are using torgue amunitions which is not typical for maya. gun damage buff is weak and you can do well without it while picking up much more useful survival or slag/revival skills etc now mind's eyes crit damage buff is laughable compared to all zero's skills so investing heavily in that you deprive yourself from far better skills. now this is all in context, as i said if you want to kill a buff enemy with dodgable attacks you need to use bee and max dps skills. But if you go out on a mission to mob, you do not need to max out your dmg with the CC and aoe capability maya has plus easy crits. Derch has a perfect video on maya on how to stop wasting skillpoints i'd reccomend checking it out because i am too lazy to explain in details. It is not about those skills being bad it is about them being unworthy of picking up compared to other skills you could have

It's kinda disappointing how Maliwan, the one that's know for its elemental weapons. for whatever reason thinks it's a good idea to make their best weapons only come in one element and let's most of their competitors have all elements of some of their best guns. Good job Maliwan way to stay ahead of your competitors.

Mad Moxxi's Good Touch is better than the Hellfire since it's 70% critical hit damage and it's higher damage over time

The good touch/bad touch have been my go to guns for maya and they are really easy to get on level

Axton is good with the hellfire due to explosive boosts, Acton and Maya also make the Bee usable to max out damage without having useless protection

now mind's eyes crit damage buff is laughable compared to all zero's skills so investing heavily in that you deprive yourself from far better skills.
now this is all in context, as i said if you want to kill a buff enemy with dodgable attacks you need to use bee and max dps skills. But if you go out on a mission to mob, you do not need to max out your dmg with the CC and aoe capability maya has plus easy crits.
Derch has a perfect video on maya on how to stop wasting skillpoints i'd reccomend checking it out because i am too lazy to explain in details. It is not about those skills being bad it is about them being unworthy of picking up compared to other skills you could have

It's kinda disappointing how Maliwan, the one that's know for its elemental weapons. for whatever reason thinks it's a good idea to make their best weapons only come in one element and let's most of their competitors have all elements of some of their best guns. Good job Maliwan way to stay ahead of your competitors.
What do you mean when you say you want a dahl stock/ weapon part mods? We can’t control the weapon part mods so you mean to just keep farming for the weapon? And how do we know when we have the right mods on it? E.G. the fire assault rifle and the sand hawk
