I think an honorable mention should go to the Kerblaster, since it can be farmed after a fairly trivial sidequest that one can get very early in the game. In Normal mode it’s basically an “I Win” button and can serve you a good ten to fifteen levels after you get it, and in TVHM can still be very powerful on certain characters (Axton and Krieg in particular). That said, even then the ammo consumption is an issue, and the lower crit damage inherent to ARs ultimately renders it obsolete in UVHM, as it just doesn't deal enough raw damage to offset its ammo consumption by that point.
Definitely a good assault rifle, it served my commando very well up until he hit like level 25. plus it can be used with the sham to regenerate rocket launcher ammo by shooting the ground.

You can get the quest for gettle just after you plug turn the quest in before sanctuary goes up. Don't put the power core in. Go into sanctuary and the quest will be there on the bulletin board
Played it over the weekend and for the flame of the fire hawk it can be paired to a bonus package grenade if running Ultimate vault Hunter mode and power level runs such as torgue's campaign of carnage bar fight. Overpowered build for unkempt Harlold is actually dual wielding them when running Salvador on normal to true vault Hunter mode
My favorite weapon has to be the Slagga that you can very easily farm in Dust if you side with the Zafords. I find that it tears through enemies pretty well and slays things pretty much instantly. Not to mention the sheer amount of ammo you can put out before reloading.
One pairing that doesn't seem to get much attention is the Infinity Pistol combined with Gaige's "Cooking up Trouble" skill. The health generation while holding the Infinity Pistol is fantastic. Many times I have avoided Fight for you Life because the health points generate quicker than my health bar can be depleted.
Salvador can use money shot with depleting all pistol ammunition even during his duel wielding with like a unkept, do this cause money shot to go off while shooting the infinity pistol
The fastball is one of my favorites though I only use it in emergency situations since it's so op in the normal playthrough it would take a lot of the fun out of the game imo
A lvl 50 Flame of the Firehawk carried me through the whole Dahl Ramparts area as Krieg in UVHM, and I didn't even have a single point in the Hellborn tree. I never thought it would be useful to have my shield recharge delay so high until that point. The Love Thumper is another shield that feels purpose-built for Krieg.
I understand that the demonetization issue is all over the place and that your only being cautious with your no swearing, but I think that avoiding the words Double Penetrating seems kinda ridiculous when you are playing a game like Borderlands
To be fair, "DP" and "Dupa" are common nicknames in the community for that particular variant of the Unkempt Harold, simply because it's faster to say and type than "Double-Penetrating".
Pretty much all of us say DPUH, Dupa, Or DP Harold. It's just Nicknames. It's a mouthful especially if you have to say it 15 times. Lol mouthful 😂 unintentional pun.
My first legendary dropped from flynt, on my first playthrough, at level 4. It carried me through the majority of the game, up until i found out that weapon levels matter when trying to do any sort of damage
I know this is a late post on this video. But there is a very powerful (and possibly game-breaking) combination of game glitch/secrets and abilities if you use Gaige. (1) Her buck up skill can be glitched very easily to recharge her shields to full health many times faster than normal, nearly rendering her invulnerable (just repeat the glitch 3-4x), (2) using an infinity pistol allows her to constantly regenerate health if she has Cooking Up Trouble, and (3) together these mean using any amp shield, especially the bee, means she can output massive damage using amp shields without the penalty of losing shield hit points, and instead is basically invulnerable. Of course many other weapons can do more damage, but the infinity gun (even a level 10 gun) can basically just serve as a carrier for the damage from the Bee to hit enemies, while simultaneously triggering her regen health skill. This makes the infinity pistol useful even on the first walkthrough, and makes even regular amp shields useful as well.
Thanks for the guide. Took me less than 2 hrs of grinding behind Ellie's Garage to get derp Nukem rocket launcher (19k damage!), Scout Verus assault rifle and Dobby Lyda sniper rifle. In my opinion, these are damn good weapons for a level 25!
I had all characters level 72 with tons of the best gear on each of them and a badass rank of like 800k when I had this game on 360, unfortunately I'm now on ps4 and have to start all over. RIP me
@@DanteDX12 I went through and did literally every single quest for the main game and most for the DLC. Once I hit max level on one character I would play splitscreen with a new level 1 and use the max level to kill raid bosses over and over. It took a little over an hour or so, if I remember correctly, to get to the level cap
8:58 For the hellfire - In BL1, it was fantastic because you could rapidly stack fire damage, ie, set a target on fire multiple times simultaneously, resulting in overwhelming damage over time to basically any target. It seems this is still partially true in BL2 but not as overpowered. Thus in my experience, my level 10 hellfire is STILL better than a regular fire SMG at level 15 in terms of how quickly I can kill the same enemy. Anyone have further insight into what is happening? Also, anyone know what is the highest level hellfire you can get from Scorch on the normal mode playthrough? Thanks for any help!
12:23 I can confirm, I recently started to play bl2 again and in my first playthrough I got it TWICE (Can't believe how lucky I am). Needless to say I didn't equip any other grande mod during that whole run.
I got an easy DPUH from just playing the game normally without farming at all. Level 17 weapon and used it for quite some time mostly cause of Gage's Anarchy skill. A hornet came by like the next day i played bl2
i had been grinding for the infinity for 5 hours, i pull up this video because i was bored, he mentions the infinity and right after i kill doc mercy i get it instantly.......... someone explain this to me
On the infinity you should mention that Anarchy Gaige can't use it at all. If she could it would be the perfect gun to switch to once you hit the anarchy cap, but sadly on anarchy builds it has a 0 clip size. :-( Seconded on Bonus Package. I got one of those early on in a normal mode playthrough once and it carried me all the way through to Bunk3r.
My favorites to farm for are the Harold and bee shield. I have better luck farming savage lee for any form of the Harold and the treeants for the bee. The Xp gains from farming the treeants is a plus too depending on the drop rate.
I've got the old copy. The Evil Smasher glitch version. No dlc. Savage Lee spawns in 3 places for me and has all three at the same time before. Unfortunately I spent 2 years trying to get the fast ball before learning my version doesn't. Then trying to farm the madhouse got rather frustrating until Mad Dog dropped 4 baby makers 4 times in a row. Couldn't be upset thought. Finding Conference Calls, the infinity pistol and the madhouse in Frostburn Canyon on a loot Goliath and the chest about the fast travel makes up for it lol. Also got my first fastball about 6 months ago in the vending machine in Euridian Blite was awesome
That happened once when I was playing with a friend and it was his first time. I told him he could have it and I dropped it for him. He didn't pick it up and just left it
For his #1 pick, it made me think of a possible error the Gearbox developers made in BL2. What if (just throwing this out there), the rarities for the Love Thumper, and the Flame of the Firehawk got mixed up. I'm not sure if others have said this before, or if the debs just straight up said it, but that would help to explain quite a few issues within the game, like for instance, you CAN get the Love Thumper from the Tinder Snowflake chests (The Love Thumper is widely known to be a legendary to the games code), but as far as I know, you CAN'T get a Flame of the Firehawk from the Tinder Snowflake chests.
Why wait until level cap to farm for legendaries? I do it even in normal mode and for tvhm it can get a little hard so i usually farm a lyuda or harold and im good to go until it gets underleveled. But anyway i think that its a bad idea to farm for legendaries only once youve hit level cap because if you have the ultimate dlc pack then your gonna need legendaries and slag unless youre planning on dying lots and not being able to play borderlands but this is just my opinion and my suggestions (dont judge/hate me this is my opinion)
Just bought borderlands 2 and the pre sequel, Xbox had them both on sale for 15 dollars. I can't believe this game is that old and still has a thriving community on TH-cam. I've never played the game before and I wanted a "new" game to play! Hopefully 2 gives me a reason to buy 3 when it releases later this year
the hellfire i find to be pretty good even in op lvls, normally if you apply damage over time (DOT) with a specific element if you start doing DOT with that same element again it wipes the previous DOT away, the hellfire is the one weapon in the game that does not do this, so it does a ton of burn damage effectively melting many enemys.
My favorite legendary is the infection cleaner, A submachine gun that does fire damage, replenishes when your not shooting it & acts like a gernade that fires bullets as it spins threw the air before it goes boom, got it from doing new dlc story quest it drop for me in during paradise found quest but don't know what enemy drop it, got to excited cause it's also my first everescet flashing cammo whatever you call it new legendary from the new dlc, also why it's my favorite legendary
If you fire 1 bullet then you get a bullet, fire five and does the same but it just happens slower then it shoots so it seems like constant(throwing regens the rest of the mag you had)
I can guess em. Not in order tho. 1. Hornet (thumbnail) 2. Harold (cmon, it's a harold, and you can just buy it) 3. The kerblaster (seriously, it just wrecks face cuz that sweet sweet damage) 4. Hammer Buster (a solid AR) 5. Bonus Package (literally at the start of the game, and it does sooo much damage) 6. Longbow (massive damage) 7. T-Ball (some good damage, good splash, Flynt becomes easy later on) 8. Okay, I give up.
I wouldn't put the Thunderball Fists on here, if only because while Flynt (and his son in Son of Crawmerax) is a pushover, GETTING to him is tedious, as you have to run all the way through the entirety of the Southern Shelf, which is quite a way to go without a vehicle, and slows down any attempt at farming considerably. Granted, this can be mitigated to a degree either with a Breakneck Banshee Maya or by using the ADS exploit on a properly-specced Axton.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just realized I accidentally sold the Bewm/Boom grenade!!!!!!!!!! FUCK! the worst part is I didn't even have to farm! I shot Bewn point blank with a shotgun, and *TADA* instantly had a legendary!!!! *begins sobbing*

This just in side quest for bee shield
Always learning more about BL2. Thanks for explaing (clearly) where and how to obtain these legendries!
Hahahaha I was just watching some of your vids. An extra treat!
Infinty is my favorite gun, just cause it was my first legendary ever, and i love what it does
I actually got the Fastball during the first time I beat the in memoriam quest
Salvador can use money shot with depleting all pistol ammunition even during his duel wielding with like a unkept, do this cause money shot to go off while shooting the infinity pistol
The fastball is one of my favorites though I only use it in emergency situations since it's so op in the normal playthrough it would take a lot of the fun out of the game imo
Imo grenades are for emergencies, you gun enemies down but if they kill your too fast, nade em
@@CA-CombineMost grenades don't do damage in the endgame (most are used for healing or slagging)...
2:30 You can farm Treants for "The Bee" shield here, too.
Or you can get most of these by the christmas dlc train
We're assuming that you're farming them 'properly' rather than just farming the chest.
And this is a no dlc video for people like myself who just got the game but didn't get any dlc yet
@@xavierp8587 I mean y didn't u just get the handsome collection
@@peoplebutter1408 I got the DLCs now at the time I wanted to play the game without em
These videos have helped me a lot since I started playing borderlands 2 thanks and I hope to see a lot of videos when borderlands 3 comes out!!!
Torgue weapons (except the ogre) are quite easy just farm torgue tokens and use the torgue machine.
This channel will live on with Borderlands 2 the game that never dies
2024 and I just beat it for the first time and enjoyed it so much
A lvl 50 Flame of the Firehawk carried me through the whole Dahl Ramparts area as Krieg in UVHM, and I didn't even have a single point in the Hellborn tree.
Remember kids, wanton violence is ok, but wirty dords are not.
My first legendary dropped from flynt, on my first playthrough, at level 4.
It carried me through the majority of the game, up until i found out that weapon levels matter when trying to do any sort of damage
12:15
I got a bouncy bonus package from my true vh run (my current run), i hate it, but it does damage so eH-
Same here. Still love my thunderballs fist.
My favorite Is the donk
i see you are a man of culture.
I prefer the ratatatater instead
Jimmy Smith me to
Mine is the greasy donk
Hasan Alsaggaf you mean the bombarbarbabadier
I actually got a double penetrating unkempt Harold from a random badass bullymong. Level 7 Salvador
The luck bro it's real! Lol
Nice world drop
I like using the 'Black Hole' shield with Gaige's Shock ARGHH skill.
I can’t wait to see the Borderlands 3 countdown vids!! 😆
Hell yeah, that rocket launcher is (or would ik im late) gonna carry you into level 40 or higher!
I had all characters level 72 with tons of the best gear on each of them and a badass rank of like 800k when I had this game on 360, unfortunately I'm now on ps4 and have to start all over. RIP me
Do you remember what method you used to level up? I barely made it to 35 and I'm having a super hard time leveling up
@@DanteDX12 I went through and did literally every single quest for the main game and most for the DLC. Once I hit max level on one character I would play splitscreen with a new level 1 and use the max level to kill raid bosses over and over. It took a little over an hour or so, if I remember correctly, to get to the level cap
The bonus package grenade mod plus the gunzerker's perk of 2 thrown grenades for the price of one makes for insane grenade damage! 😁
You can actually do 'the good, the bad and the mordecai' immediately after 'a train to catch' BEFORE plugging in the new power core
Lol, thought the lyuda was a guaranteed drop. Cuz I've only cared enough to do the quest once and got it first try.
Stonks
Awesome vid. Being proficient in the bl franchise, it’s nice to see someone giving decent info. Bravo 👏🏼
i had been grinding for the infinity for 5 hours, i pull up this video because i was bored, he mentions the infinity and right after i kill doc mercy i get it instantly.......... someone explain this to me
JaKKi I got my infinity after my first try whilst doing the side mission for the doctor
Opens Borderlands 2 video, Borderlands 2 ad shows up somehow. This... Does put a smile on my face
I got the bonus package first play thru and it carried me so far really op at low levels
CommandPower 1 the one from boom or bewm, I personally love the one from boom
If you also want a unkempt Harold try the eridium slot machines in the tiny Tina dlc, I usually get an unkempt Harold each game play from them.
Or from the Bar in the Torgue dlc
On the infinity you should mention that Anarchy Gaige can't use it at all. If she could it would be the perfect gun to switch to once you hit the anarchy cap, but sadly on anarchy builds it has a 0 clip size. :-(
Seconded on Bonus Package. I got one of those early on in a normal mode playthrough once and it carried me all the way through to Bunk3r.
Huh, for me it carried to the endgame.
Infinity gun is great with Siren and the skill that increases firerate when an enemy is phaselocked. No reloading also helps it. Just tip into them.
Who’s watching in 2024 👀
Right now as I type this

I just now started playing it for the 1st time. I'm way behind. I've played BL1 but none of the others.
@@boagrius7765 how you like it so far?
@@boagrius7765 The game is phenomenal and I wish you the best of luck in your first playthrough Vault Hunter
My favorites to farm for are the Harold and bee shield. I have better luck farming savage lee for any form of the Harold and the treeants for the bee. The Xp gains from farming the treeants is a plus too depending on the drop rate.
gotta love farming vending machines for DPUH lol
I'll never forget saying "wtf is that? Omg run!" when a friend and I first encountered Saturn. 😄 I love this game.
You should show the fastest route to farming these wapons.
Also got my first fastball about 6 months ago in the vending machine in Euridian Blite was awesome
me and my sister were playing borderlands and we got a hornet first try
It took me 12 tries
Borderlands bringing family together
Took me 2 trys
That happened once when I was playing with a friend and it was his first time. I told him he could have it and I dropped it for him. He didn't pick it up and just left it
@@drwhothehell If only he cared enough and knew that boom and bewn and Berta melt to it.
Because if your a lower level the lower the dps and over all states on it are lower
The infinity pistol is one of my favorite weapons in the game, but unfortunately it doesn’t work on Gaige with her magazine reduction
The hornet is my favorite pistol honestly
Hey you're gonna love this thing called the double penetrating unkempt herald
@@imaginari8013 tacky
Just bought borderlands 2 and the pre sequel, Xbox had them both on sale for 15 dollars. I can't believe this game is that old and still has a thriving community on TH-cam. I've never played the game before and I wanted a "new" game to play! Hopefully 2 gives me a reason to buy 3 when it releases later this year
Who's playing in 2023 I am
2024
the hellfire i find to be pretty good even in op lvls, normally if you apply damage over time (DOT) with a specific element if you start doing DOT with that same element again it wipes the previous DOT away, the hellfire is the one weapon in the game that does not do this, so it does a ton of burn damage effectively melting many enemys.
Still waiting for borderlands 3 to come out
Zach Gamer borderlands 3 got announced.
I think it's a rainbow pearlesant
@@L4Disillusion effervescent is their name
If you fire 1 bullet then you get a bullet, fire five and does the same but it just happens slower then it shoots so it seems like constant(throwing regens the rest of the mag you had)
I had Doc Mercy drop one, but it fell right into the area under the stairs he stands on.😑
jedichris85 hahah I know that feeling XD
I tried to get that for a hour
You can get there, just jump down left or right.
The hellfire also can drop from sully (i think thats his name) in tk bahas bloody harvest
I can guess em. Not in order tho. 1. Hornet (thumbnail)
2. Harold (cmon, it's a harold, and you can just buy it)
3. The kerblaster (seriously, it just wrecks face cuz that sweet sweet damage)
4. Hammer Buster (a solid AR)
5. Bonus Package (literally at the start of the game, and it does sooo much damage)
6. Longbow (massive damage)
7. T-Ball (some good damage, good splash, Flynt becomes easy later on)
8. Okay, I give up.
Close
The BP is ok for most of the game but when in or after (op) it is basicly usless.
I replace the Bp with the fastball
Fast ball krieg/axton
I wouldn't put the Thunderball Fists on here, if only because while Flynt (and his son in Son of Crawmerax) is a pushover, GETTING to him is tedious, as you have to run all the way through the entirety of the Southern Shelf, which is quite a way to go without a vehicle, and slows down any attempt at farming considerably. Granted, this can be mitigated to a degree either with a Breakneck Banshee Maya or by using the ADS exploit on a properly-specced Axton.
cool video dude. I love legendary guns and weapons.
I really love the Hellfire legendary gun. It's a shame that the creators decresed its power in Borderlands 2.
Oh, that king Mong can drop stuff? Makes me wonder if the overleveled enemies in bl3 drop stuff too
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just realized I accidentally sold the Bewm/Boom grenade!!!!!!!!!!
FUCK! the worst part is I didn't even have to farm! I shot Bewn point blank with a shotgun, and *TADA* instantly had a legendary!!!!
*begins sobbing*
... You can just farm them again, you know
14:56 i just realized why that placed called "Marrow Field"
VPG: Don’t farm until level cap
Laughs in JoltzDude139
Exactly I always farm I just don't go for perfect things till max level
You are great mahdude. Never stop doing bl2 and fallout 4 stuff. Cause your good at it.
Lyuda should've been higher
Dude. THANK YOU, I've been playing this game offline, alone, level cap 50, and this list alone has made my fun multiply. I picked up the Bee, Lyuda, and Sham in about an hour. I can kill BNK-3R in about 2 minutes now with my Lascaux, Killer Cat mod, and Bee equipped. 20+ runs an hour, instead of 5-8? ...YES!
