Hey guys, back with another Borderlands 2 video and today I wanted to go over the Top 10 Best Guns, Weapons and Gear for Salvador the Gunzerker in Borderlands 2. Salvador is an extremely powerful character and most weapons work really well with him. However I think these 10 items are best on Salvador!

Can’t believe it’s almost the end of 2022 and I STILL regularly return to this game- not just fir a quick mess around mind you. As soon as I get Claptraps eye back I just can’t help but carry on right to the end.
The only game I’ve ever played that even after 70 + DAYS of playtime, it just does not get dull or have to run out of things to do.
Borderlands 2 IMHO is the best game Ive ever played. Sure 3 is good and the first one is a good blast for the occasional play through, 2 has so much replayability it’s up there with the games I’ve put the most time into.

I really liked that you included the interfacer. The skill gap that it provides allows Sal to reach a new ceiling. I really hope it makes a return in BL3 because Moze would make insane use of it. But she does get increased splash damage so if the DPUH makes a return that might be better in her hands

I think one of the BEST weapons for Salvador is one of the most underrated: The Orphan Maker. Because it is a Jakobs shotgun the thing is great for money shot and NKLOK, combined with it's HUGE base damage and the fact that Salvador can ignore the curse makes it one of his best weapons.
Orphan Maker is also great on mechro

i dont know what deputy sal is off the top of my head, but i guess it a shotgun build that uses the deputy badge. (just my guess).
Riley Chute ya it's an offhand jakobs shotgun and a deputy's badge and uses nklok and moneyshot pretty much

Why the grog? Its base dmg is so weak, is it because it heals due it it being a Moxxi weapon?
the grog is so good because while duel wielding, any damage caused by other gun or grenade will heal you, making you invincible even on op8

Some guns, like the slowhand and the seeker, can't get the moneyshot boost.
Because he is a walking glitch...
To make moneyshot good, you need a gun with a low mag size or high ammo consumption (optimally, both). Certain guns take far too long to proc moneyshot and thus adding very little to your DPS. Which is why you see some Sal players run without Inconceivable since it sometimes makes it take too long to go to moneyshot and is not worth the chance of getting a good moneyshot chain. This is especially true for Deputy builds.

Nice video VPG however I think the DPUH is better than interfacer partly because it's easier to obtain and also in general the Harold can mob much better due to explosive being a more versatile element. I would also suggest you missed the orphan maker, with the lady fist it will 1 money shot crit basically every enemy except raid bosses plus every second shot is a money shot

I personally like using a slag Slowhand with the Butcher. It does its job at slagging, healing, and getting more damage from Divergent Likeness. Makes for a really solid Hoarder Build. A Lucky War Dog COM might be cool too for the extra ammo conservation and never having to reload.

shadow of atlas he's hard to level up. You get an unkempt Harold at level 8 in nvhm, by the time you have good skills the gun is useless. Also, you can't get a grog till level 30, which is after you complete the campaign. Salvador is actually easier to play in UVHM than NVHM.

Flakker/pimpernal/sawbar + creamer/other high danage launchers = super op salvador that 1 shots everything

Sal needs what many others said before me, grog and DPUH. He's unstoppable when he has those two weapons.

Slag, and shock/corrosive butchers with a rolling thunder g-mod. makes farming the bar brawl quick and easy. works well on everything else to. Got my build set up so as long as he is killing he never stops gunzerking. With the butchers and the regen ammo perks along with money shot I can keep him zerking for a very long time without running out of ammo.
I already knew about the Unkept Harold, Interfacer, Grog Nozzle, Magic Missile, and the Butcher! Thanks for the other weapons in this video!
I like doing full Moxxi builds, especially in early game: duped double Heartbreakers, good touch/bad touch together, slag Kitten and fire/corrosive Kitten, slag Rubi + anything above; saves 5 I’m your huckleberry points to use elsewhere and maximize Rough Rider effect

Woohoo, finally got a DPUH from a vending machine yesterday (in TVHM)! Damn this pistol is mind blowing, getting like 343K points of Critical Hit damage!

The interfacer also benefits from the Bee shield, as it's also an ultimate shotgun where the Bee Shield's amp damage is applied to all the pellets
Now I just need a way to kill it's raid boss
with the butcher you should use 5 shots or 6 skill with it as well and it's way better

Chuck80 Deputy Build FTW. Blue coach guns become great, Rustlers Orphan Maker is OP. Every other shot gets Money Shot, build speeds up reloads. Deputy also works great with Flakker-empty-RL combo. Fill the air with Death.
Duel DPUH and double Rocket launchers with the longbow bonus package. Kills everything
Actually, I use the interfacer over the conference call only for mobbing. On raid bosses I'll use a conference call over the interfacer for crit spots are made lethal with it.
So I think I may have to disagree with the placement of one of these. The Grog Nozzle should be number 1 imo.
Its super easy to get providing you have the dlc and the effects of it make it something that literally all classes can use, but for the Gunzerker in particular its hilariously OP. Throw grenades that deal damage over time during zerk with that gun and you're constantly getting health back meaning while you reload your guns your're still pretty much invincible.
So far the most fun way ive used it is with a hive rocket launcher. Soon as that drunk effect kicks in shoot off some rockets before it expires and you'll have a swarm of hives. Kicks serious ass in digistruct peak considering how much of it is outdoors. Come to think of it i think its all outdoors there lol.
The Infinity with the accuracy and speed boost relics is fairly nuts. Especially with a bee shield.
My build in order:
Dpuh
Grog nozzle (if dont have dlc use slag rubi)
Corrosive interfacer (i use practicable prefix)
Shield:rough rider (no dlc use bee akaline)
Class mod:lawful evil monk (no dlc use vengful raider)
Grenade:storm front
Relic:elemental relic explosive for dpuh (over 25%)
Ps: this build is pretty good
Except the Bee sucks on Salvador because you can't take full advantage of the amp boost, unlike Zer0
What about the sheriffs badge? It boosts the Harold's damage and fire rate, as well as your fight for your life time giving you a better chance of getting up for those times you do go down.

I think a cool idea that Gearbox could try for Borderlands 3 is to make *select* characters have the innate ability to dual-wield guns, instead of it being an action skill or unlockable skill.
One restriction could be that only Pistols and SMG's (two weapon types that should be fairly easy to one-hand in Borderlands logic) can be dual-wieldable. A con would be lowered accuracy and recoil, obviously.
This could help make more skills tailored towards the supposed innate ability to dual-wield.
Personally I really enjoy Grog + Sledge's, it's incredibly impractical because a drunk Sledge's takes about 3 years to get the second shot off, but it's pretty fun to just screw around with.
Unkempt Harold is an amazing and I'm using it as I write this with my level 12 Salvador it's so early game it's mad

Although your doing best gear on characters can you still do top 10 best class mods for each character, you did Axton and Zero can you do the other four next if you don't mind.

You forgot Twin Teapot once you spec into pistol skills your having cheap pistol that can kill everything until OP8 that doesn't cost 600+ tourge tokens aka the Unkempt Harold. Also sometimes Twin Teapot is better mostly than Unkempt Harold cause mostly everyone has armour even the bandits in UVHM and OP lvls and it's a Saturn killer too.

main shield: rough rider
Main primary:inerfacer
Main secondary:grog nozzle
Main gernade:magic missle
Main mod:chaotic evil monk\ lawful good monk
Main relic:ancient relic
Only "Evil" Monk COMs work on offhand guns. The critical hit bonus applies to offhand but the other bonuses do not. It may not matter for your build because that's the "Easy Mode" build that can make anything work. But for optimization, you may want to use lawful, neutral, or chaotic evil COMs instead
@Mai Nyigguh When it comes to Sal builds, everyone uses the same 3 builds because that's what works at OP levels. I find it's either DPUH/Grog, Deputy Sal, Dual Shamfleet or some shit build that doesn't work or make sense. I personally use Deputy Sal. It's very powerful but only if you're getting criticals all the damn time. DPUH/Grog Sal will always be the "Easy Mode" OP build that people overuse because it really is the best. But it takes ZERO skill to play that way. You just blast walls of explosives in the general direction of enemies with both triggers held down until everything dies. Seriously. It's that easy. Why wouldn't everyone copy that shit? Unless you like a challenge like I do, it's the best Sal build out there

Bran H Some great weapons that I use are a grog nozzle for healing, a corrosive anarchy for fighting loaders, a florentine for basically everything and a storm sniper rifle because it's incredibly powerful with a high stack count
5:30 I know the video is almost 5 years old at this point and you will probably not read this, but you should had the quad in your left hand. That way you get the full damage bonus from money shot. For some reason, the game looks at the mag size of your right gun when it decides how much money shot damage it should give your left gun.

Since they Interfacer consumes two cartridges per shot, they should have made it a Face Time (Jakobs barrel).

you need to add the Pimpernel and the Ahab. The pimpernel is on the left hand and the Ahab is on the right. only shoot the pimpernel because it'd be a waste to shoot the ahab. if you aim a little under the crit spot with the pimpernel you can get all 5 projectiles of the pimpernel to hit the targets' crit. try it out on the test dummy in marcus' shop in sanctuary. it is awesome to use.

Salvador is my most favorite character in borderlands 2 I like yo use the inerfacer grog butcher and all the class mods and harold

I actually like infinity + grog in salvador coupled with 'Keep firing', it does the job well for most content in the game with the exception of raid bosses.

Bro, I’m a few years late but where’s the love for my Deputy Sals out there?? No Quad (preferably Citrine from the Dragon Keep DLC), no Orphan Maker from Scarlet’s DLC, not even a Hydra from the Big Game Hunt DLC! And of course, with all this the Deputy’s Badge is absolute perfection in the form of a relic. You don’t know satisfaction on Salvador until you’ve omega Overkill one-shot the Ancient Dragons one-by-one at level 80 on OP10 with a Hydra and a Lady Fist, so satisfying. If anybody stops by for some random reason to read this and am wondering what to do with this gem of a game, build a Deputy Sal. Lots of videos on the internet, and not too hard to optimize for early setups of the build. Very fun, lots of damage. Also giga Money Shot. I believe that is all that is needed to be said. Good day!

Grog and perfect parts DPUH.
personally the main things I use are Pimperhab (Ahab, pimpernel), grog, herald, legendary berserker, chaotic evil monk (plus 6 money shot), rough rider, sham, 2 level 26 badda booms. my issue is the lady fist isn't the best to use for it because none of the weapons I use are really needed because of the fact that I already have enough damage out put that it isn't needed. butcher I will have to tinker with though.
also I found that the grog nozzle is 87% healing passive with the right parts. its odd because of that. mainly because of the parts and such.

Idk why the Legendary Gunzerker classmod isn't used more often. I find myself always gunzerking as long as I'm shooting something. Mix a grog with a dpuh and I'm basically invincible. I am only playing on 72 UVHM so idk if that makes a difference

I just used the lady fist with a grog from level 48 true vault hunter until level 65 ultimate and I only stopped cuz there was a good Harold

Surprisingly, my favorite weapon is the lyuda
Yes. This. Sal negates the Lyuda's ammo consumption issues. It eats through ammo way too fast on anyone else. But Sal can turn this thing into a long range, super accurate machine gun with his fire rate boosts and not have to worry about running out of ammo. I'm VERY surprised more people don't use the Lyuda/Lady Fist combo. It wrecks everything.

Hey Vinylicpuma, have you gotten more than one Bouncing Bonnie per difficulty playthrough? If not, I got two of them in Normal Mode. One was incendiary, but was rubberized unfortunately, and the other was corrosive and homing. Some people say "eww" to homing, but it beats the hell out of a grenade your opponent can dodge very handily.

@@joshuamclaren7529 Yeah, been watching Puma's vids and its really funny when he's talking about "the best of the best" while the gameplay shows him constantly going down and needing to get back up again and again and again. Constantly switching to the Norfleet. "you are basically invincible when using these" (proceeds to die and goes off cam).
The legendary Gunzerker class mod does not require the UVHM pack. I have all of the first generation level 50 legendary class mods, apart from Krieg's.
