Love how straight forward this recipe is, came out delicious. Took your tip and cooked the spinach separetly. Most of our Indian recipes have so many steps, this was quick and easy, and best of all wasn't floating in oil. Thanks for posting this.

I really like that you can wilt the spinach down separately. I love spinach curries but sometimes they can be soggy and there is nothing worse. So i will definitely be using this trick. Also i have always wondered why my spinach curries can be bland. I dont have any fresh Fenugreek leaves but i do have the dried methi. Maybe its worth taking a trip to PK foods in Blackburn.

Hi Phil Whatever, thank you for your comment. Oh most definitely YES to a trip to BB. Dried fenugreek is good to add into almost all curries, but the fresh stuff has to be added to fresh spinach to really elevate the dish to next level. Good luck and do give it a go.

Have you tried adding a bit of yoghurt in ? I've always liked adding some yoghurt to chicken palak and it does gives a lovely taste x

Thank you for this recipe...I made this with dried methi instead of fresh(because I didn’t have any) and it still tasted really good😍 I recommend this recipe to anyone who’s looking to try it... even my partner loved it and he’s not usually keen on saag dishes.

Shabana, fresh us always better in this dish, if you still wish to add some then a heaped tablespoon should be sufficient
