- **NOT AN INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO, JUST A VLOG**
Doing an overdue brake service on the 2017 CRV. I check the brake pad wear and lubricate the brake guides and slider pins. I decided to do the brake fluid flush in separate video as this video was getting a little long. I find that doing maintenance on the car is always a good opportunity for me to learn and understand how cars work a little better.

I’ve done brake servive a couple times. It’s quite tedious for sure. I also remove the hardware brackets that the pads slide on and clean them up with a wire brush.
Yeah I should definitely do that next time! Although next time I will probably change the brake pads and have new hardware as well
woah NICE HAIRCUT also dont forget to cover up ur coils for winter!!
Woah thanks 😍 YESSIR gotta do that this week
Do you have a video on how to install the fog lights ?
Yeah I will edit that video and post it in couple weeks

@@XxBeepBoopxX814 i thought id make a more detailed video since I couldnt find one online :) itll be up in a couple weeks!
When do you change your transmission fluid? Do you have any idea how many kilometers for the first fluid change?
Im not sure, I just go by the maintenance indicator. I think the first one for me was around 30,000km but most cars usually dont seem to need it changed that early
Are u planning to change into a cold air intake and nice muffler?
I'm thinking of making a DIY "cheap" short ram/cold air intake soon but as for muffler Ill probably leave it as stock for now because I'm convinced this engine doesn't sound good paired with the CRV
Did you have to reset the brake pistons if it's just a service?
I just pumped/pressed them while the car was still parked to make sure they work. Didnt do anything else
How has quarantine been treating you?
Pretty good :) finished up some summer school courses, got lots of car stuff done...definitely wish I managed my time a little better as there are some videos I've wanted to make but haven't given myself the time to. School starting back up soon so that will be somewhat exciting
U should have paint the calipers while you were on that
Ill keep it in mind for next year! I wanna make sure i get a lot of time to sand down and decontaminate the brakes fully before I paint them so I never have to do it again
