This tells me that she has very little life experience and may have been sheltered by her family. If that is the case why did Katherine and Arul herself, after realizing it was a test, choose the first guy who was using body language to get the women? He was not being himself but merely using a tool to get the girl. Which means he does not actually and neither naturally behave in such a manner. Therefore, if this was real, his intentions can come into question and he be seen as not trustworthy. The only woman that actually made sense was Sarah, the woman who picked guy number 2, which is the guy who was being himself. This leads me to believe, after deducing these factors, that being yourself it the most sensible thing to be when talking to women. If you are a gentlemen, and a woman still rejects, it is probably a benefit to you as she may be the wrong type of woman anyway who is into the wrong type of guy.

However, her being sheltered by her family can cause her to get into situations that they and she, herself, would not want for her. You have people who have little life experience but managed to stay away from a good number of pitfalls that exist in this life, because they were not sheltered, thanks to good child-rearing by their parents and them actually listening and following their parents' teachings and instructions. As I said in my previous comment, had this been real life she could have ended up being another female used by the sleazy guy - which is who the guy was playing and who she fell for - and altering her mindset and outlook on life and on men in the negative. As well, if this was real she could have ended up with a criminal who could have abused her.
I guess that's a mystery where never going get! of why women always pick the bad guys with a terrible personalities? When a woman has grown up being abused by a parent (someone who is supposed to love her), she won't easily recognise abusive language or behaviour for what it is, from guys who show interest in her. Those are the girls, more than any others, who need The Rules, for their own protection, to help them to develop some boundaries and self-respect.

You have to take the time to get to know the person, and vice versa, our problem seems to be that we want everything done right now so we don't have to wait or put in the time. Building a good relationship with anyone will always take time!!
Relationships are actually really pointless. Think about it, the vast majority of relationships never last, no matter the promises, and the plans. Something (insert reason), always comes along, and derails it. There then follows the inevitable shit that then goes along with that. Or those who are married/get married. Approx one in three end up divorced. Again, there are usually not one, but many reasons. As to the other two thirds - well I can tell you for a fact that a large % of them may be together, but they are not really for each other, emotionally, they are not in love with one another. Sometimes they remain together out of habit, or for the kids, that is a classic. Examples of two people meeting, and loving one another, for the rest of their lives, are rare. It always starts off okay, or very good, then, after a time, problems arise, and, eventually, those problems come on top, you break up, and further down the line, you go through the whole thing, all over again. What IS the purpose of that? Surely, at best, all it does is sort of fill for void, be that for a few months or even a few years? However, given the odds against this relationship being the exception, what use is there in either party giving all the usual platitudes etc, when, in reality, in a relatively short time, they will likely be moaning about that person to their friends?

It would be infinitely more interesting if it was an actual experiment with a more decent sample, some analysis of variance and then show us just the highlights of the experiment, with a link to the full research. This video has no more value than an article from Cosmopolitan.
This is an extremely good video!! If you have 12 minutes, definitely watch the entire thing. Goes to show that just being yourself is ALWAYS the best course of action because, in the end, the other person should be attracted to YOU and not to who you want them to think you are.

I agree with the fact that some people naturally find it easier than others to communicate with those they are attracted to. I personally believe that this is due to those individuals having lots of confidence within themselves. They are what I call "complete." They tend to have high self-esteem, high self-worth, sure of themselves, and have minimum baggage (we all have some type of baggage). I think that relationship and dating advice is made too complicated. We all must first take care of our own well-being first (Mind, Body, & Soul) before we attempt to partner up with someone else. If a person is broken, they tend to attract others that are broken and two broken people that get into a relationship that leads to marriage, ends up with children that are broken and the cycle continues for generation after generation. You see the problem with this study is that it basically treats romance like it's as simple as a 2 + 2 = 4 equation, when in fact there are so many variables in dating situations it boggles the mind. Things like venue, body type, whether or not the date is expensive, grooming, bathing, facial features, manners or lack thereof, confidence, pets or no pets, humor, gifts, flowers. body language, background, race, nationality, religion, what type of car you drive, whether you've got kids, whether you've been divorced, how long your relationships have lasted, whether a girl prefers bad boys or church-goers (there are women who like either). The fact is dating is a numbers game, (even one of the dating world's top gurus says this), but it's not a simple equation like the one above. It's more like (A x B) + (C= D) - e2 + 3 1/2 = ????? And guess what else? The variables change dramatically change across the board with every new person you choose to date.

Confidence in balance is attractive. I believe it's about finding a match to suit your own confidence levels - I don't think I could date a guy who was drastically less confident, because I'm proactive myself. In the current time, I think C would be appealing to many "independent woman" notice how to her, he described Media....... A was the best guy to go with, he was just an all rounder. B.. the honest and..more down to earth guy was good, although I could picture the woman getting bored eventually, it depends whether they were interested in the same thing. If not, as soon as you've spoken about your interests, you begin getting a lot closer..and could eventually get a little too close for comfort. There is an attraction between people that is sometimes a chemical response in the brain, but...that is only physical and not emotional and it doesn't necessarily last forever. If you want a lasting relationship that includes love, then there's work to be done folks. Building a lasting relationship depends on more that science, but every little bit helps:)
I actually do have to agree. I can't say the same for everyone, but I'm much more impressed by someone who's "kind" than a macho "tough guy." Infact, I don't see why kindness would be seen as a weakness, but I know the lack of it certaintly could. Here are my questions...This was done in England. Doesn't the differences among cultures (ethnically wise) somewhat change the dynamics of such "rules of attraction"? In other words, what works for men in England may not necessarily work for men in the United States. If you study anthropology you will see that what means one thing in one culture may mean something entirely different in another. Second question, which is more so a comment. I would think that the first guy has the looks that most women like. The dude is slim, and has sharp features. The second guy is a bit overweight, while the third guy also looks less in shape and has what some would refer to as a pudgy face. In other words, it seems like cheating, which is in favor of the first guy. I would suggest you get 3 guys who all have the same features - slim and sharp features to actually come up with a definitive conclusion. This whole test is just off to me and can been seen as mere entertainment than any real study. However, because the test was done in England with English people as the variables, the test may therefore be sufficient to the English. But I will say that it's sad that it usually seems to be the prettiest girl who is into the sleazy guys. It's a shame. However, I do think that she was only "interested" in the sleazy guy just because he said he is a producer and writer for tv and film, whose work causes him to travel especially to the US. Look at her facial expression at 7:49 when he tells her this. In other words, she could be a gold digger. Therefore, it would make sense why some guys, who are looking for a committed relationship with the goal to be married, tend to stay away from a very pretty woman, because it is the very pretty woman who has been unfortunately stereotyped as being a gold digger; and not necessarily because the guy is shy or nervous. A man's past experiences (dating women and not sex) with such women could also come into play as well.

This is extremely random, although I was out one night. My friend was smoking weed, he said to me (as I felt as though I was going to pass out) I don't smoke it anymore by the way..although we walked away into the middle of park. He said to me afterwards he wanted to make my head feel better. He had that in mind at the time obviously. All he said, trying to figure it out was, right.. you know how cars annoy you when you sleep at night. At this point MY ENTIRE PERCEPTION of everything altered. I was in another world..which felt like the ACTUAL WORLD!? The night sky, had a curvature.. a tree..actually looked right in front of me. My whole self consciousness had disappeared. I wasn't thinking about anything at all. In fact, I didn't want to because it felt so REAL in that place. I began walking home, and he said something that pushed me back into what people call reality I suppose.. I'm currently thinking........ What if the world we live in today, is in fact the wrong one completely. I have noticed over time, from when I was younger.. I would always do what I wanted and wouldn't listen. Knowing everyone was having a good time, this is an image of a family party. I only began changing, once I first when into play school/nursery. That feeling I had, the view I had on the world was only for around 2 minutes. And I snapped back into it because of other people around me. That's what got me thinking about it a little. I had never felt like that ever before, that I can remember. I was likely too young once I changed.

Also, there's the question of timing of the dates, if either or both of the participants are in the states of feeling their lives are hanging on a rock, it's very likely that they feel relaxed enough to participate in a dating situation, I.e. the least thing you would think about when you are doing a bungee jump or rock climbing is dating and sex, or something on this line.
Mutual interests is somehow very important in this case both before and after the dates? Or pathways towards convergence will not be formed from the effort of both sides.

I got really into studying "pick up" about a year ago when my fiancee left me. A lot of the guides a crap/common sense, but I learned some top level stuff from that one.

This tells me that she has very little life experience and may have been sheltered by her family. Thank God it was just a test, because had it been the real thing, she could have been just another female to have been used by the sleazy type of guy just for her body, thus possibly altering her mindset and outlook on life in the negative; worse, the guy could have ended up being a criminal and she abused by him as a result.
Then she says "you want them to be themselves anyway" with the other 2 women agreeing. If that is the case why did Katherine and Arul herself, after realizing it was a test, choose the first guy who was using body language to get the women? He was not being himself but merely using a tool to get the girl. Which means he does not actually and neither naturally behave in such a manner. Therefore, if this was real, his intentions can come into question and he be seen as not trustworthy. The only woman that actually made sense was Sarah, the woman who picked guy number 2, which is the guy who was being himself. This leads me to believe, after deducing these factors, that being yourself it the most sensible thing to be when talking to women. If you are a gentlemen, and a woman still rejects, it is probably a benefit to you as she may be the wrong type of woman anyway who is into the wrong type of guy.

However, her being sheltered by her family can cause her to get into situations that they and she, herself, would not want for her. You have people who have little life experience but managed to stay away from a good number of pitfalls that exist in this life, because they were not sheltered, thanks to good child-rearing by their parents and them actually listening and following their parents' teachings and instructions.
As I said in my previous comment, had this been real life she could have ended up being another female used by the sleazy guy - which is who the guy was playing and who she fell for - and altering her mindset and outlook on life and on men in the negative. When a woman has grown up being abused by a parent (someone who is supposed to love her), she won't easily recognise abusive language or behaviour for what it is, from guys who show interest in her. Those are the girls, more than any others, who need The Rules, for their own protection, to help them to develop some boundaries and self-respect.

Think about it, the vast majority of relationships never last, no matter the promises, and the plans. Something (insert reason), always comes along, and derails it. There then follows the inevitable shit that then goes along with that. Or those who are married/get married. Approx one in three end up divorced. Again, there are usually not one, but many reasons. As to the other two thirds - well I can tell you for a fact that a large % of them may be together, but they are not really for each other, emotionally, they are not in love with one another. Sometimes they remain together out of habit, or for the kids, that is a classic. Examples of two people meeting, and loving one another, for the rest of their lives, are rare. It always starts off okay, or very good, then, after a time, problems arise, and, eventually, those problems come on top, you break up, and further down the line, you go through the whole thing, all over again. What IS the purpose of that? Surely, at best, all it does is sort of fill for void, be that for a few months or even a few years? However, given the odds against this relationship being the exception, what use is there in either party giving all the usual platitudes etc, when, in reality, in a relatively short time, they will likely be moaning about that person to their friends?

I agree with the fact that some people naturally find it easier than others to communicate with those they are attracted to. I personally believe that this is due to those individuals having lots of confidence within themselves. They are what I call "complete." They tend to have high self-esteem, high self-worth, sure of themselves, and have minimum baggage (we all have some type of baggage). I think that relationship and dating advice is made too complicated. We all must first take care of our own well-being first (Mind, Body, & Soul) before we attempt to partner up with someone else. If a person is broken, they tend to attract others that are broken and two broken people that get into a relationship that leads to marriage, ends up with children that are broken and the cycle continues for generation after generation. You see the problem with this study is that it basically treats romance like it's as simple as a 2 + 2 = 4 equation, when in fact there are so many variables in dating situations it boggles the mind. Things like venue, body type, whether or not the date is expensive, grooming, bathing, facial features, manners or lack thereof, confidence, pets or no pets, humor, gifts, flowers. body language, background, race, nationality, religion, what type of car you drive, whether you've got kids, whether you've been divorced, how long your relationships have lasted, whether a girl prefers bad boys or church-goers (there are women who like either). The fact is dating is a numbers game, (even one of the dating world's top gurus says this), but it's not a simple equation like the one above. It's more like (A x B) + (C= D) - e2 + 3 1/2 = ?????
And guess what else? The variables change dramatically change across the board with every new person you choose to date.
What I don't seem to understand about these what attraction is videos is that it's all a huge waste of time. I mean really all you see is why so many woman are obsessed of one race of men only like every race of woman are which are white blond Caucasian men! It's funny and screwed up how woman say that we men are objectifying when it comes to woman yet I haven't met or seen a woman yet that doesn't objectify what her so called perfect super human better looks of a guy should look like to her. We all get it now only one race of men are better for all woman on this earth geez just cut the nonsense out already we know the race of men who has won the attraction and worldly power white dudes much props to them now let's move on shaw we?
I agree with u on that women objectify men, its true. Both sexes do it. But biologically speaking women are mlre concerned with a mans ability to provide over looks. Looks are definitely important. Also the thing about white men being the best race, like wtf?? I don't agree, no race is better than another. You have good and bad everywhere. It may seem in you eyes that most women go for the white guys or the women you know talk more about them but its all individual. I may be more attracted to white men then my sister just because my brain finds them more attractive. Dragon Monk let's be honest here. I don't think one side does it more than the other. The thing with the way men used to so it they had power of their hands. So for a long time it didn't how women objectified men because men would basically own a woman if they married them. Now a days no objectification is that bad on either side. Confidence in balance is attractive. I believe it's about finding a match to suit your own confidence levels - I don't think I could date a guy who was drastically less confident, because I'm proactive myself. Similarly, if he was low in confidence, he would find me too confident. I'm currently documenting some of my thoughts on this.

In the current time, I think C would be appealing to many "independent woman" notice how to her, he described Media....... A was the best guy to go with, he was just an all rounder. I actually do have to agree. I can't say the same for everyone, but I'm much more impressed by someone who's "kind" than a macho "tough guy." Infact, I don't see why kindness would be seen as a weakness, but I know the lack of it certaintly could. Being a jerk shouldn't impress anyone.I know from some of my female friends that when they see people being rowdy and macho, most of them just roll their eyes, not swoon. Here are my questions...This was done in England. Doesn't the differences among cultures (ethnically wise) somewhat change the dynamics of such "rules of attraction"? In other words, what works for men in England may not necessarily work for men in the United States. If you study anthropology you will see that what means one thing in one culture may mean something entirely different in another.
Second question, which is more so a comment. I would think that the first guy has the looks that most women like. The dude is slim, and has sharp features. The second guy is a bit overweight, while the third guy also looks less in shape and has what some would refer to as a pudgy face. In other words, it seems like cheating, which is in favor of the first guy. I would suggest you get 3 guys who all have the same features - slim and sharp features to actually come up with a definitive conclusion. This whole test is just off to me and can been seen as mere entertainment than any real study. However, because the test was done in England with English people as the variables, the test may therefore be sufficient to the English.
But I will say that it's sad that it usually seems to be the prettiest girl who is into the sleazy guys. It's a shame. However, I do think that she was only "interested" in the sleazy guy just because he said he is a producer and writer for tv and film, whose work causes him to travel especially to the US. Look at her facial expression at 7:49 when he tells her this. In other words, she could be a gold digger. Therefore, it would make sense why some guys, who are looking for a committed relationship with the goal to be married, tend to stay away from a very pretty woman, because it is the very pretty woman who has been unfortunately stereotyped as being a gold digger; and not necessarily because the guy is shy or nervous. A man's past experiences (dating women and not sex) with such women could also come into play as well.
Women are women mate, it doesn't matter where they come from.... What works for one man somewhere, is highly likely to work the same everywhere. Cultural and religious differences may create problems with building rappot, but on the whole I don't think women in one part of the world are different to women in others

This is extremely random, although I was out one night. My friend was smoking weed, he said to me (as I felt as though I was going to pass out) I don't smoke it anymore by the way..although we walked away into the middle of park. He said to me afterwards he wanted to make my head feel better. He had that in mind at the time obviously. All he said, trying to figure it out was, right.. you know how cars annoy you when you sleep at night. At this point MY ENTIRE PERCEPTION of everything altered. I was in another world..which felt like the ACTUAL WORLD!? The night sky, had a curvature.. a tree..actually looked right in front of me. My whole self consciousness had disappeared. I wasn't thinking about anything at all. In fact, I didn't want to because it felt so REAL in that place. I began walking home, and he said something that pushed me back into what people call reality I suppose.. I'm currently thinking........ What if the world we live in today, is in fact the wrong one completely. I have noticed over time, from when I was younger.. I would always do what I wanted and wouldn't listen. Knowing everyone was having a good time, this is an image of a family party. I only began changing, once I first when into play school/nursery. That feeling I had, the view I had on the world was only for around 2 minutes. And I snapped back into it because of other people around me. That's what got me thinking about it a little. I had never felt like that ever before, that I can remember. I was likely too young once I changed.

Have confidence and some balls, don't be afraid to be rejected. Flirt and be clear that you don't want to be in the friendzone. Make girls feel special and treat them with respect but always be the man. Women have a natural instinct and an amazing ability to "find out" what kind of man you are.

There are so many other factors, to be considered.... and most important is that the person whom ur gonna date with can say you the truth with out fear of loosing u.... and everyone should have open mind.... that is what I personally miss while talking to a woman/girl.... also first date no sex.... dating is not doing sex.
At least I think it should be a mutual process, or you'll just be left with one sided action, and the result of which is that the quality of the time of staying together will not be good no matter what you do with your partner. This is also not to take into account of other factors that can be mixed in between to make things unecrssarily complicated, for example, when your circles are too big for efficient communication, your intention or behavior can easily get lost in translation within the circle, and after a while, the direct dialog that is supposed to be between you and your partner will be led away and over time it can create immense barrier between you and your partner, as lots of information do not come directly from you or your partner, and lots of misunderstanding can then be created. Also, there's the question of timing of the dates, if either or both of the participants are in the states of feeling their lives are hanging on a rock, it's very likely that they feel relaxed enough to participate in a dating situation, I.e. the least thing you would think about when you are doing a bungee jump or rock climbing is dating and sex, or something on this line.
If you are feeling being coersed to do so, it will not be genuine enough to generate good vibration as well.

Didn't you remark that each girl chose the first guy she met as the one she prefers? I know that to be remembered in a group you need to present yourself first or last. Maybe that's what happened here, the first guy was the one who left an impression and when the girls met the others, they couldn't help but to compare them to what they unconsciously chose as the ideal.
